"Talking" "Thoughts"
When Marcello had requested her presence, Anika was quick to put her guard up. Most of her conversations with the Prince tended to end with Anika leaving the room in a fury, but given that they were siblings, she understood the importance of gracing him with her presence every once in and while. The idea of a punch card system mused her, thinking about how that might incentivise her meeting with her siblings more often, but ultimately, the idea of being in a room with Marcello or Francesca made her want to pull her hair out.
There was nothing for them to discuss, since he had left, sure it was more of a banishment, her trust in him was limited at best. Any secrets he managed to receive were due to the blasted gift of his. If he wanted to blackmail her with her relationship with Syena, she was prepared to stab him in the chest for trying. Her father would applaud her for the action, given what a disappointment he had turned out to be.
Walking into the room, she was pleased to see the grimy boy pacing in anticipation. At least the feeling of making one’s skin crawl was mutual. The soft tone he used confused her, unsure if he was trying to disarm her before she took her seat. The bow was a nice touch but left her feeling more suspicious than anything else. Raising her eyebrow, she followed the man to her chair and took a seat,
" Well, you are my brother after all. What kind of a sister would I be if I denied you?" She asked, expecting a witty response in return.
Accommodating him? Anika was sure he was testing her; if she hadn’t shown, he would have reported it to their father, and Anika would have been shipped back to Musique for disobedience. Waiting for the prince to sit across from her, she thought about what to say next. Was this time to hold in her venom, or a test to see if she could hold nothing back? What exactly had Marcello done that made him want to call upon her so late in the night? Had he made an enemy this fast? Had he gotten a maid pregnant? The princess doubted that latter, given he had just arrived, but nothing surprised her anymore.
It was better to just get to the point so then she didn’t have to waste any more of her time here.
" Calling for me so late, you must be up to something, best get along with it so I start a letter to father about how we can fix your misdeeds." OOC:
