Zoya had packed some food that wouldn't spoil along with snacks and drinks. She was set up for at least a day maybe two of home world exploration. She left her sister a note that she may not be home today since they both rented the apartment together.
She slipped out and had found a place in the park that was quite and secluded so she wouldn't be disturbed by people. Zoya powered up into Chibi Tea, thankfully she'd decided to do this super early in the morning, right at the crack of dawn. Mostly just joggers and runners out. She looked around, no power signatures that she could tell. It was safe to pop up to her home world uninterrupted.
Tea closed her eyes and soon enough found herself on her homeworld. The sun was up in the sky and brightly shown.
She sighed as she pulled the two figures from her last trip both were similar to a polly pocket size and one was a copy of the fountain statue in the center of the town, the other was a raccoon that might as well had been a mount. She wasn't sure though.
Tea looked around where she landed, and seemed curious. Where had she landed this time? She looked around before getting her bearings, the mountains were over to her left this time it seemed. She moved as she headed to find the paths that she decided might be best to follow, at least for a bit.
Maybe she'd get lucky enough and find the source of the water or the next piece of this puzzle she'd seemingly stumbled on. Maybe as she went it'd make more sense?
The place she'd been thankfully wasn't that hard to find, though she did wish she'd have a compass or a way to map out where she was going on her senshi phone. It seemed neither really existed in the way she wanted it to.
"It's very quite here." She mused as she looked around the peaceful and empty world. Not a creature or a person to be seen asides from visions of perhaps the past?
She looked at the statue she'd gathered the raccoon mount token from and began to walk the path from there towards what she could only hope was the source of the running water.
Walking not too far in front of her was a vision of the past, the village elder and the senshi again walking this time a large raccoon like animal was with them. "I'm not sure I understand what this has to do with anything."
The senshi said scratching the back of her head. The village elder smiled, "In time you will child."
They continued the path as the elder broke into a story, "I'll tell you a story to pass the time as walk. There was once a great need for us to have new means of transportation you see. Our ancestors were gatherers we only really gathered food from the same small areas in the past....."
As the elder said this the vision faded.
Tea had slowed to a stop as she looked around, the vision had gone, when he started the story. She frowned as she looked around to see if she could locate the pair, but she had no such luck.
Tea sighed as she looked around "Maybe the puzzle is how they found food?" She said softly musing, but was that all?
The fields were expansive and everything here made her feel small. Occasionally she'd grab a glimpse of what looked like animals wondering around but nothing was really there. It had to be visions of the past -- what the world use to look like.
The further she walked though, the smaller she felt, she wasn't sure if the grasses were growing larger and more wildly here or if things were really just that much larger. A tree she passed she thought could house a whole village on it's own when she looked up.
The canopy was massive. "It's like I am the mouse." She said softly as she moved on.
The sound of water was becoming increasingly loud until she found what she'd thought had been a stream; it was in fact an expansive river. She was in a clearing in the field away from the occasional clustering of trees.
The senshi of mice looked around softly as she gathered the sight of the river in. There were Lilly pads at the edge where it was shallow and seemingly a slow, lazy river. The middle though, the pace seemed much quicker, as if one could white water raft down it. If they were brave enough.
Tea, wasn't that sort of interested in the river though. She walked beside the bank for a while before she came to yet another statue. Something was written there, but nothing she could read or understand. The chibi senshi sighed as she looked at the statue. This one was of a large frog, it wore a pendant that seemed to indicated something. She found this odd, what could a frog do?
The two polly pocket sized keys that were in her subspace pocket were pulled out. She decided it wasn't time to ponder what the rhyme and reason was for the outfit on the frog; but surely there was something she could find on the statue that would be like a puzzle box, much like the last two statues.
She decided to inspect the symbol to see if there was something important about it. It took her a moment to climb up to where she could properly inspect the statue close up. Upon touching the pendant something moved and she saw that the eyes had changed direction.
Tea looked at where the frog was looking, there was a staff in it's hand and it was now looking instead of forward towards that staff. She decided to move over to that, finding the top of the staff that held some sort of crystal twisted off. When the top came off she found a scroll.
"Curiouser and Curiouser." She said as she opened the scroll to read it. She decided it was perhaps best to place it back after she was done. Fully expecting that she couldn't understand whatever it said.
Much to tea's surprise though, instead of a undecipherable note it was a crude map. Showing mountains and it looked as if the river came from there, with an arrow pointing. Tea looked at it curiously and she looked around. Could she see the mountains from here? For she didn't realize how tall things were.
She finally decided to climb up higher, which after she placed the scroll back into the staff she did climb to the top of the frogs head. Which she could barely see over the tall grasses looking around she was trying to figure out which way the mountains were....
The chibi senshi jumped as high as she could using the frog to give her that extra boost up. Which is when she saw the mountains, they were spectacular with the mist that came from the river as it ran adding sparkling light to the mountains. It looked as if the mountains were calling her. But as she fell back to the ground she hadn't realized she'd jumped off the frog statue.
Landing into the shallows of the water she sat there for a moment, grateful that the edges of the river were very calm. And that she'd put all her belongings into subspace. The chibi senshi climbed out of the river and looked around.
"Oh my. . . I wasn't expecting an impromptu bath today." She stretched though it was very refreshing though the water was.
She looked back to the statue and decided to inspect the base, she was looking for somewhere to place the key she'd gotten at the last check point. Surely this one, had something too., and soon enough she found it on the Lilly pad that the frog sat on and the reason she'd been able to climb up and inspect the statue so thoroughly. They were close to the edge and the base of the statue, near the back.
She placed the Raccoon key into one of the slots, and turned, but it seemed nothing happened. She began to look around for maybe a second place to put a key? However, she didn't find any sort of slot to place the senshi's statue key. She decided, pulling the Raccoon key out to try something. She then placed the first key into the same slot and found it fit and turned. Which was interesting, she heard a click. Maybe the puzzle was -- that it took multiple keys. She pulled the first key free and placed the Raccoon key back into the slot. When she turned it again, there was a click and she noticed the steam of the Lily pad seemed to hold a hidden door. She moved to open it.
As she inspected the door and opened it, she found a third key. This time one of the frog with the staff. Again it was Polly Pocket sized, about as large as the Raccoon, maybe a bit smaller. This one didn't seem like a mount but just what tea could only equate to an NPC in a game.
She looked at the three figures in her hands. There was more to go with this. she just knew it. But she also realized she'd spent a large chunk of the day so far traveling.
She wondered if she should turn back to the town or if she should find a place to set up an impromptu camp so she could eat and get back to the search after a small break. The senshi also needed to dry her fuku a bit more and starting a fire here, she wasn't sure was a good idea.
So she turned her sights back to the town, where she'd seen a small abode that looked like it could work for housing, not too far from the outskirts.
She could get a fresh start after she was dried off properly and fed. Though she knew this meant it'd take longer for her quest.
