Nagyagite wasn't the most eager and enthusiastic of Captains, but he did his job. Sometimes. When he felt like it. Which was more often than not, because it wasn't like he had shitall else going on. Sure, he had his hookups with Simon, and those were fun, and Simon's ask-no-questions attitude really did make for a much more pleasant experience, but that was still only three hours out of his day.
He could only do so much wandering around the castle or playing Crusader Kings or reading or what the ******** ever else before he got ******** bored.
He was ******** bored now, and maybe that was why he approached the shiny little die sitting in a planter, tucked in the back of the empty rooftop bar he'd decided to wander through. It was something to hold his attention when he was bored as hell.
And oh, grab his attention it did.

At least this was better than nothing.
He tossed the die and got moving, striding casually but with purpose down the squares until he reached number four.
It was cold. And there was an awful scent in the air, and something moving, but Nagyagite narrowed his eyes.
"You can't scare me," he said, firmly. Surely he was scarier himself than anything crawling around in the dark, considering what he was.

Nagyagite wasn't going to let it.
He moved one more space forward, and here, in this dark square, he felt something on the back of his neck.
Something wet, large, and growling.
"Come and get me," he hissed, low, serpentine fangs extending and hood flaring out. He'd fight, if it came to it--but part of him very assuredly believed that this thing wasn't going to fight back. It wanted fear. Wanted games. And Nagyagite wasn't going to give it the satisfaction.

This was sort of nice, if he ignored all the ways it wasn't.
There was an eerie song in the distance, and Nagyagite laughed.
"What are you going to do, sing me to--"
Hands. Grabbing. Water filling his lungs.
Okay, maybe Nagyagite had tempted fate a little bit. Maybe he had been cocky, overly sure of himself--maybe he was being punished for that.
He kicked back at whatever was grabbing at him, surging forward in an effort to get away.

Nagyagite hissed a warning when they came too close, baring his fangs and flaring his hood. There was no way he was going to let himself get beaten down by winged ******** vermin, no matter how miserable a day he was having. That was just the last ******** straw, and he was not going to tolerate it.
This place, this thing, this game would not beat him. He would not let it win.

He couldn't fight thousands of rats. That was obvious. So he ran, rolling the dice and hoping ti got him closer to the <******** exit.
