6.5/10? Perhaps it's because of the way that the hair is drawn, but it doesn't look exactly very nice to me. It is good that you at least tried at colour coordination, but compared to the dark tones you are wearing, the light colour of the skin revealed isn't matching.

A lot of the items you have on are overused. =P I love when people take overused items and put a new spin on them, but I don't see that here. ^^;;
I think your hairstyle, hair color, and fox ears will always give off the vibe of "newb" because so many newbs dress with those exact items to be like Inuyasha.
You have matched the colors pretty well, however. And though it's not my style, I recognize that your avatar is well put together. ^^
As for some suggestions~
I think that red longjohns will look excellent. They're a must-have. =]
Perhaps try using the silver pocket watch instead of the lunar cowl.
Also, try and see if you like any of the following pants: novaFlare pants, slotted black pants, black mehTRO jeans and perhaps black street pants - m.
Also, a that orange 90's vest will help add some more orange and balance it out. ^^

Well...a 7/10 because I don't see enough coordination going on here. I mean...it's mostly black but there are some other colors that don't seem to match at all. If you had more of the other colors it would look more balanced.
