Engine 21 (12) : Once, Destiny City had a functioning train station. Over the years the tracks took their damage, and the cost to repair couldn’t be justified. So the city let it, and the station, fall into ruin. Of course there have been rumors that the train station was a hot spot for ghouls, stuck in perpetual transit. Lost souls with no place to go. It’s not uncommon for trespassers to come out of the station claiming they saw some frightful apparition wearing outfits right out of the mid 1900s. Sometimes, they even hear the whistle of a train, or the clattering of the track as a phantom train rolls in. Engine 21 was the last train to depart from the station, allegedly, and derailed on the way to the mountains. There were no survivors, but the legend differs in how many souls were lost. Some say, if you stand on the platform at 3:33AM you can hear their screams forever cemented in an endless loop, reliving their deaths nightly. It’s not uncommon for people to say that the railroad crossings will mysteriously light up and lower despite no oncoming trains, and some have even said they’ve seen a phantom train speeding through the night. Maybe it’s just a ghost story, but maybe you’ve seen something, too.
The request for company, which had come across her compact the previous night, was enough of a curious thing, that when her alarm went off it jolted Nevaeh out of the prolific posting that she had been doing lately on her round of message boards. There were a few threads that she had started, under an assumed alias, of course, that sought to compile information on where she had been whisked away to, twice. Before the second time Nevaeh had learned some valuable information but it had not helped her avoid the second trip to the world of the glowing pathway. Now she at least was trying to make a log of what sort of encounters she had had in order to try and mentally map out just exactly how many squares the gameboard actually held.
Shaking her head the young woman sighed before leaning back in her computer chair before saving her work. Reaching across her desk Nevaeh opened the drawer in which her compact and henshin pen were stored before she silenced her phone's alarm. Pushing away from the computer desk was easy enough and it was with a bit of a loud groan that she stretched, arcing her back and hearing, and feeling, the resulting sounds of realignment.
"I gotta quit spending so much time online if this is the result."
Leaving her residence Nevaeh found a secluded grove that was far enough away to power up before pulling out her compact. She fired off a quick message to Hela indicating that she was running a few minutes late but she would be there.

Double and triple-checking her gear, Mina was ready to look into this, apparently, haunted and run-down train station. Her camera, flashlight, emergency whistle, and other things she needed just in case were all neatly packed into a small black sling bag so she could carry it with her. Walking out of her apartment building, she made her way down to one of the bus station bathrooms and powered up before stepping up onto the sink and through the mirror, bag in hand.
There weren't any mirrors that she knew of at the abandoned station but she got as close as she could via one of the ones hidden in an alleyway further away from the city center. Checking her phone again as she got closer to the station, she saw the message from Iraenea had sent. It gave her time to move her bag around so the pouch was in front of her and she could pull out her flashlight and camera if needed.
Looking up at the station, it was definitely bigger than the one in the nearest town right by where she lived when she wasn't in the city for college. Way bigger if she was really thinking about it.
"So... I wonder if anyone left any trash or if I get to see some cool things." As long as she didn't have to see any ghosts this would be fine, if not she'd have back up just in case. It may not have worked in the woods with Asuka but this wasn't really as secluded, just forgotten.
Irenaea dusted herself off. Using mirrors to cut down on transit time would never get any easier. Especially if she wasn't prepared to exit the mirror properly. In this case the dark mirror senshi had tripped upon exiting the mirror she had chosen to emerge from. "At least no one saw that so my dignity is still intact," she muttered softly. Taking a glance to where she had ended up the black-shrouded senshi took out her normal phone to recheck the address listed of the train station before memorizing the remaining route she needed to take.
Considering the fact that a powered aura of super rank was nearby and gravitating in that direction did Irenaea soon cross paths with her Dark Mirror comrade in arms. "Sorry I'm late. Even with my alarm set I still lost track of time."
That said Irenaea lifted the veil from her eyes before taking in the decrepit station before she made a tsking sound, "serious thought, I can see why people might say this place is haunted. Look at the state it is in. Be pretty easy to sneak around scaring people."
Irenaea, for the first time since she arrived, saw the camera and flashlight that Hela sported before giving a small shake of her head, "So, we're going on a sort of ghost hunt?"

Turning away from the station as she heard someone approaching, Hela smiled and waved as Irenaea drew nearer. "Oh you're fine, it took me a bit to get everything in my bag."
Moving with them as they looked at the station, she nodded. "Yeah, I thought I could get some sick photos for one of my projects. That and I'm pretty curious what might be left inside parts of the station."
Pulling another flashlight from her sling bag, she offered it to Irenaea before starting to move closer to the station. It wasn't even really blocked off or locked up, the fencing that went around it had holes large enough for people to get through.
Pulling at the metal fencing, just enough to widen the pre-existing hole, Hela stepped through and held it open a bit wider for her friend. "Watch your dress, don't want it to get caught."
