Maybe it’s in your mind, but if you stare up at the face for too long, you begin to hear a low growling, or a shrill static. Its eyes are hypnotic and fearsome. Whether it disappears behind the clouds or the horizon, at some point it is gone. The strangeness fades with the moon, but there’s still no real explanation. It doesn’t photograph, and nothing about it can be recorded. You just have to hope it was a one time nightmare.

Sable was just out for the evening taking a walk, she hadn't looked up yet, but she felt like the night was charged with something weird. Leave it to this city to even make a walk at night weird. She shook her head to try to shake the feeling from her but it was no use. She sighed and trying again to clear her head and then she looked up and saw the moon that looked super freaky tonight, but come on seeing faces on the moon was like the most common thing ever so she shouldn't get worked up about this one and she was a corrupt senshi she shouldn't be freaked out by a creepy face on the moon.
She turned her face away from it and tried to pretend she hadn't seen it in the first place and she was a bit distracted as she walked along the sidewalk. So she was unlikely to notice anyone else walking along as she went.

Cliff had noticed the creepy face on the moon, too.
It was hard not to given it was a full moon, and being a lover of stargazing he looked up when he noticed how bright the evening was and…well, there it was.
He’d gone out for a bite to eat and was actually on his way back to his dorm when he saw it, and it unnerved him to the point that he refused to go home until it went away. He’d seen enough scary movies to know not to lead this kind of thing back to where he lived. Not knowing what it was, it was hard to tell if it was a harmless prank or something legitimately dangerous.
Senshi or not, he wasn’t about to lead something with the potential to be dangerous back to where he laid his head to rest at night.
So…here he was. Being forced to go on an extended walk. He was stopped at a crosswalk when someone joined him, and glancing over he just had a feeling. So he asked.
“Guessing you see it, too?”

Sable sighed when someone joined her and pointed out the very thing she was trying to ignore. "Yea I can see it, but I was trying to ignore it, it's creepy and not something I want to look at for a long period of time." She said still trying to look anywhere but the sky. "Maybe it's just a trick of the light or something like that?" She suggested still trying to not look up because that moon gave her the creeps. She really needed to chill out it was just the moon, it wasn't like it was a sailor scout or something, but there were knights of the moon right? So what did that mean for them when the moon was acting for weird. She shook her head to clear the thought it was nothing for her to worry about since she was a chaos scout not an order scout. She couldn't imagine it actually being dangerous, how could it? It was the moon after all, then again she hadn't been able to imagine a die being dangerous and that had been a terrible experience, she didn't want to end up back on that stupid game board. She still remembered the feeling of decaying away and it was not a feeling she ever wanted to feel again. She shivered at the thought of it and turned back to the guy talking to her. It really wasn't his fault, and she could have denied that she saw it and pretended he was crazy. For whatever reason she had decided not to do that so she looked up at the creepy moon again and then away quickly because that face was like the worst and she worked for the negaverse so that was saying something. She shook her head hard to regain her focus. She still felt like that moon was watching them which was not a comforting feeling at all. Not that there was anything they could do till morning to avoid the moon, come on now it was always there.

Oops. He bit his tongue at the initial reply; it didn’t occur to him that she might have been trying to ignore it because of the creepy factor. It was a good idea, though unfortunately for him it wasn’t something he was good at doing. Once he noticed something that far off the beaten path, it was hard to get his mind off of it.
“Could be,” he said, glancing up at it again. It looked back down at him, as devilish and eerie as it had been when he first noticed it. It sent a chill through him, and he visibly shuddered.
“Maybe not, but you’ve probably got the right idea. If you don’t mind a bit of company, I was just walking around waiting for it to go away.” He frowned as he added, “This city’s weird about these things. For all we know something’s actually doing that, and it might be following us. Best not lead it straight home, y’know?”

Sable listened to him and she didn't shoo him away from her but she did turn to him and c**k her eyebrow. "How are you planning to avoid the moon so it can't follow you home, unless you want to walk around till morning, besides what makes you think it can get down?"

Cliff gave a shrug at her questions. “You just never know when it comes to DC,” he said simply, eyeing the crosswalk sign and wondering how long it was going to stay on “stop” when there were no cars currently at this intersection.
“And I’m not avoiding it, just…waiting. I have a feeling it’ll go away after a while.”
With any luck it was just a trick of the eyes or someone that was super bored that maybe had some kind of projector or something, kind of like the Bat Signal. If that wasn’t the case, the worst thing that could happen was he’d be out overnight and exhausted during school and practice. It wasn’t ideal, but he’d survive.
“If it doesn’t, there’s plenty of things to do overnight in a city this big. I might hang out at an internet cafe, maybe, or a 24-hour convenience store.

Sable wasn't sure if he was being paranoid or smart about this, he was right this city was really weird and you really never did know when it came to this city. "I think I'll take my chances and sleep tonight, maybe the moon will find someone else to pick on and forget about us all together."

”Fair enough,” he said with a smile and a shrug. Everyone handled these kinds of things differently, and he wasn’t one to judge her approach. Besides, there was a very good chance he was just overthinking things. Not only that, but he also had a means to fight back if anything did actually come at him, whether he was back at his dorm or anywhere else. As long as it was in DC, he wasn’t a sitting duck.
“Good luck to the two of us, then.” Glancing off to the crosswalk sign again, he saw that it had changed, and he leaned toward it. “I’m that way. Have a good night!”
And he was off.
