Waiting until the absolute possible moment to change, Desiree went over her notes and made sure that she had everything she needed setup on the kitchen table. Let Alexandre think what he wanted about here using Aloysius’s manor as the meeting spot, she didn’t really care. If anything she almost wondered what he thought, that and the corrupt they toted around like a lost puppy.
Pawing things into place and making sure she had her spreadsheets open on the laptop next to the app-building program she was working on, Desiree was content with the work she had done porting all of the paper notes into a self-contained database. It would be easily accessible to anyone on his team for now but she’d see about getting it approved to push to the tablet with one Axinite if she remembered correctly. That or an application for personal cell phones that could be accessed while powered down. There were a lot of options and she’d been preparing for either one being ready to go.
There was still a lot to do but she didn’t mind it, it kept her busy and she enjoyed doing the work. It kept her home where she could keep an eye on Liam and Aloysius between short excursions to babysit that new mirror senshi that had been brought in. They asked so many questions, some of which she was certain Aloysius had answers to or at least had considered in the past. It wasn’t her place to stay in the middle of everything like Liam and Hedwig. She had more than enough reasons not to like order and each interaction had made it easier to dislike them though she did take a bit of satisfaction messing with them as a civilian from time to time much as she had in winter. It was a shame she only had an hour with that glamour, she did like to slip into places without being bothered much. It was hard to sneak into a school or a store as a cat sometimes but she made it work when she could.
Tapping a few things in on her device, she adjusted what her outfit would be this time. It was good to change things each time she met with Alexandre because people rarely wore the same thing every day outside of certain situations. As usual, she kept that scarf she liked of Aloysius’s nearby to wear as well, it was nice and warm with that fringe she liked playing with even as a civilian.

Today was the first meeting, of what he could only assume would be many, with Desiree who was helping him with his project. It was taking longer than he’d expected, though he should have figured it would take some time, he had to build up enough product that he could plant about the city. He also needed variety, it wouldn’t be good if he used all the same plants, it would be all too easy to go about digging up and burning his plants if they all looked the same and order figured it out.
So he was working on making things harder for order, by growing many things including tulips so he could spread them as soon as spring hit next year. He was working on having options for every season so they could keep the city well seeded for energy gathering. All the information, all his plans, everything had been sent to Desiree via Aloysius so she could go over all the information. He didn’t mind if Aloysius looked either, he had nothing to hide, the other general could go right down to his greenhouse and see what he was working on.
Now though things were coming together a bit quicker, with the help of Desiree it seemed things were picking up again, as he had honestly been losing steam. The drive over had been filled with the blond wondering if he’d given her too much to work with, had he burdened her more than she could handle, had she been prepared for all that he’d given her? Could she even make sense of it all or should he have helped and included some sort of guide to help her understand everything he’d been doing?
He had worried. He couldn’t help but worry. He’d worried when he’d first brought Lorcan into things as well.
Parking down the block Alexandre had slipped out of his car, which he locked up, and the short walk to the front door was enjoyed as he tried to settle his worries. He would deal with whatever greeted him, he had no choice, and he would do his best. It was all he had. He couldn’t worry any more. Knocking he stood waiting, hoping it would all go well.

Hearing the knock, Desiree was careful to be out of sight of the two glass panes on either side of the front door before clicking her keychain to allow her to use her human glamour. Today she still looked professional even if she had a scarf on, she didn’t need it but she liked the thing she’d stolen from Aloysius. “Hello Alexandre, come in. I have some updates for you then I want to talk about how to proceed.”
Taking very little time to stand there idly, she motioned him inside and closed the door behind him. Walking towards the kitchen table she drifted her fingers over the touch pad to prevent the thing from going to sleep. “I finished a bit of the database of your notes so far with searchable parameters for each variation as listed by original species of plant or by size. I figure that may be the best way if you intend to do things like landscaping since customers may be looking for specific species of plants or sizes of plants for their needs. I won’t pretend to know more than that but I assume you were the one who worked on Aloysius’s home so you have the expertise and your notes were a treat to read.”
Taking a seat and slowly directing him through her work, she was ready for any questions he had relating to the technical side of things or if any of her work needed to be adjusted due to the nature of the plants themselves.

Stepping inside, head nodding, the blond bent at the waist in order to unlace his shoes and remove them entirely. Setting them to the side, by the door, he straightened himself and smiled politely. “That would be lovely, I’d like to see what you’ve managed to come up with all the information I gave you, I do apologize for how much information I dumped on you.” Because it was a lot…but he’d thought it best to provide everything.
Trailing behind her the blond took himself a seat, glancing over to the touch pad. “Yes, landscaping I think will the one of the best ways to get plants out and about in the city to places people will be.” As many places had some manner of landscaping, even some gas stations. “I am, I’ve been working on it because really it’s a delight to change things up, add and remove, and it’s like a living canvas that I can paint on over and over again.” And if it weren’t obvious he enjoyed plants before it most certainly was when he spoke now, he had a love for plants and nature that didn’t seem to fit with who he was at other times. Yet it was who he was and this love for plants had been there longer, since he was a child.
“I’m glad you appreciated my notes and found them to be a good read. I was worried you wouldn’t understand half of what I wrote. Mostly because I wrote a lot for myself, no intending anyone else to read my notes.” Lorcan than had to figure them out but he knew his cousin was ok with doing so, might even consider it some sort of a challenge. The man had done seminars online about plants and medicine in order to help more.
“I take it we’ll be able to give all this information on the tablets to officers but what about civilians as an app? So during the day time officers, when as civilians, can avoid the plants? Or would it be too much?” Could a simpler version be made if that were the case? Something to keep officers safe when they went about their normal lives. He “Maybe something as simple, and basic, as a pinged message alerting them to a nearby area? Some message that no one reading over a shoulder would figure out?”

“It’s quite alright, I do a lot of research so I’m used to sifting through information and making it easier to reference in the future.” She had experience from all the notebooks Aloysius had squirreled away just in case he ever noticed they’d been moved. It was easier to explain away when she’d just been his cat and frequently hid under the cot in his other home.
“It’s a good avenue since plants are living things that need to be maintained, some of which need specific fertilizers or treatment I would assume? It makes it easier to have someone check on them to gather things without questions being asked.” It was a good idea and if the amount of time an agent or senshi interacted with them then it made it easier for them not to be drained as much as if they were in the greenhouse or storage area for the things.
“That as well, I have seen how things change seasonally, and not just here but in the city near larger public works buildings or areas that have a lot of public view on them.” Tulips traded out for other flowers when it got cold or the colors of flowers were changed for an event.
“I believe it can be pushed out perhaps through an encoded application but… that will most likely need the approval of a sovereign because if it’s on a personal phone and not a tablet that leaves it able to be seen and exposed to the enemy potentially. In theory, it could be adjusted to be a code of some sort, where the meaning is warped enough to be seen as innocuous. We can look into things. Porting the information into an application will take me time but I can manage it. I tinker with cell phones quite often for a few other Generals.” She wouldn’t mention Aloysius though because they’d warned her about this little blonde and how they sought secrets. It wouldn’t do her general well if they knew he interacted with order amicably to gather information. It could be taken in the wrong way, as if he was a traitor, which was the farthest thing from the truth.

“That may be but plants are not something everyone cares for or understands, growing them and the soils and add ins to that soil.” Most people just saw a plant and figured if you poured water into the pot it grew - simple as that. But there was a lot more to it, and it wasn’t just the amount of light either, and he’d gone into detail in things with his notes. He’d described what he’d tried, various changes in things, and why and his thought processes which had him making choices or changes due to results seen elsewhere. At least he’d explained things, what things he did and why and what certain things were, but most of it had originally been for Lorcan’s benefit. Such as why fishbone meal was mixed into soil, what it offered to plants, and other such things.
“Yes, they have their various needs. Different lighting as well which gives access to more places. From darker places, shaded areas in a park, where a bush can be versus the flower beds at a gas station where they’ll have more sunlight. Some plants do indeed have different nutritional needs as well.” As his notes had gone into, describing in detail the different soil types and each thing he could, and did, add into the soil blends.
“Yes, as you just said, some plants cannot handle certain temperatures or the lack of sunlight. It means plants have to be changed in and out, if you’ve seen Aloysius’ property outside of the city. Since you are close to him…I’ve been changing the plants there with the seasons. Some plants you can leave year round, they’ll keep coming back, others won’t…season ends and they die and you start again. It’s a shame, and as much as I’d like to avoid those plants in this project I can’t.” Because taking the time, and resources, to grow plants that would just die when a season ended was not worth it really. But people liked some of those plants and he needed to attract people, business, and use what they wanted. It meant splurging resources on such plants. What a waste though…
“Yes, that would be good and that’s the problem. It poses a security risk but I also don’t want our agents being drained, even as civilians, if I can help it. Or at least give them the choice, let them take a small draining if they want, but at least the option is there.” But a work around, a way to keep the app safe and exclusive, would be needed somehow. “There used to be an iphone that needed a finger to unlock it…perhaps a facial recognition…or a finger print perhaps? To open the app?”

Thinking for a moment, to the club and the pins that were given out, Desiree typed something into the search bar of google and pulled up some images. “You could have the agents or senshi handling the plants directly wear uniforms for the company which includes a sort of badge that could function much like the pins at the club did? That would solve part of the problem. The issue would then be that not everyone has the same sort of iphone or device with security like that. Thumbprint scans have gone the way of the dodo in those devices.” And she didn’t want to deal with facial recognition scans and the like, it added too much coding and variability that would make the project that much more complicated even if she did get access and the rights to apply the tech to the app. It would have to be side loaded which would be problematic for apple users as well.
Huffing for a moment as she tapped her chin, Desiree looked over things and then down at her cellphone. She used an android due to the need to side-load things and modify it as needed for her paws. Making things easily accessible for her when she wasn’t in her glamour. “We need to review things but we have some ideas that I can start with and for now I can send the database over to you via your tablet later this evening. I can continue to maintain and update it as well for now and then I can teach you how to adjust things once we figure out how else we will have it be accessible.” Because it would be hard to have it push the data updates between nega tech and civilian tech without the proper permission and she needed to set up reports as well as a beta version of the app to show her idea and its usage and security features.

“We could, it shouldn’t be an issue if it’s part of the uniform…no one would connect it to the club and no one would have an issue with it.” But then what about everyone else? He liked the idea for keeping the team, whoever may wind up a part of it, safe from the plants they’d be handling. Those things would drain anyone and everyone without care for who they served. At least they’d be safe and could handle the energy hungry little things he’d grown, and was proud of.
“Mmm, true. I do wish there were a way to keep officers, those who don’t know where all the plants are, safe from them should they not wish to donate any energy.” There just might not be a way though…and he wasn’t sure if that would cause issues with officers, where they might not like the plants because they would be hard to avoid. He wanted this plan to go well and be accepted, even by those not helping, and thought this was a way to assist in that.
“Alright, that sounds good. At least we’ve made some steps…and I’ll consider things as well, see if I can’t come up with an idea to keep officers safe as a civilians.” He would give time to that, to trying to solve the problem, he just needed more time to think and consider. Perhaps a talk with Rene would help even. “For now I think we’re done, you’ve done a lot for me and left me things to think about.” And he was glad for that, it meant there were issues found in his plans and they could now be worked on.
Standing slowly from his seat the blond was smiling as he held out a hand. “Thank you for the help, I’ll look over the information once you load it and send it my way.”
