Ex-Federation Scientist Dr. Selkz has made contact with us, and wishes to defect to our side. You must head to the abandoned jungle outpost that he is hiding in, and rescue him. For this mission you will have one carrier jet accompanying you which must not be destroyed! This jet will pick up Dr. Selkz and help transport him to Zeon territory.

It is your job to escort this jet, and make sure it is not destroyed. We have confirmed 4 GM's, and 2 Sniper GM's. Take care of the Sniper GM's before our Carrier Jet takes off, as they pose the greatest threat to the mission.

Misssion Objective:
Escort the carrier to the pick up point. Hold off enemy GM's as defector Dr. Selkz boards the carrier. Destroy the Sniper GM's before take off. Try to take out the 4 GM's if possible. Make sure the carrier jet is NOT damaged or destroyed! Dr. Selkz must survive at all costs. Last for 25 posts without the carrier jet being destroyed!!

Requirements:
You must be a registered mobile suit pilot, and currently possess an operational land mobile suit. ((No suits that can not operate on land, and in Earths atmosphere.))

Notes: Mass-produced version of the RX-78 Gundam. In order to reduce its cost, the GM omits the Gundam's expensive Luna Titanium armor, Core Block system, and spare beam saber, and substitutes a short-range beam spray gun for the Gundam's beam rifle.

Armament: beam saber x 2, long range beam rifle
Notes: The GM Sniper is a variant of the RGM-79[GM], essentially unchanged except for its low-visibility color scheme. Its signature weapon is a powerful long-range beam rifle designed for pinpoint sniper attacks. This rifle, far too powerful for the GM Sniper's own generator to support, must be connected to an external power supply and cooling systems. As a result, the GM Sniper can't wander far from its home base or command vehicle.

Time:
After 15 posts the carrier jet will take off with Dr. Selkz aboard. The carrier jet must remain undestroyed for 25 posts(10 posts after it takes off), by this time it will be safe from the enemies, and be well inside Zeon territory. At this point, your mission will be complete.

Number of Positions Available for this Mission:
The team will consist of 2 land capable MS/MA. Once you are finished boarding your MS and report to the launch bay you will be permitted to launch. ((The Posts don't begin to count until "after" you have launched.))

Dustin stands at attention, his back rigidly straight. "Luetenant Dustin reporting sir! I'll stay in the back and attempt to pick them off, if need be I'll take it to them with my Heathawk..My life is nothing compared to the greater good of Zeon!" His hand in a solute.

*Kuro hopped into his shiny new Zaku II. The MS had just replaced his now obliterated Zaku I, which was reduced to a limbless torso last mission. He started it up and pulled it onto the Catapult.*
"I'll take the lead, because of experience. Kuro Hishikami, LAUNCH!"
*The Catapult launches Kuro's Zaku twoards the battlefield*

((*sits and waits*))

His mech's mono-eye stared at Kuro for a moment. He turned and stalked forward for a few meters then stopped. He activated his enhanced targeting system, raising his rifle and scanned the forest area. He spotted a heat signature, it wasn't a GM but it registered as a power station. He fired a single shot after the system registered all the information. Dustin grinned wickedly as the station disappeared. "Move now!" Dustin hollared at Kuro, pushing his mech out of the way, then dashing to the left. A split second later a beam cut right through the spot where Dustin had been a moment before. Dustin crept around trying to get a vector on the shot. "Alright, thats one sniper thats useless at long range. I need you to make one more shot so I can get a good bead on him and put him down." He raised his rifle again, scanning the area for the sniper.

Dustin watched carefuly as the beam blazed across the black sky. "I got a gm, not the sniper though...." He took his time as the GM kept firing off 120mm rounds at Kuro. "Gotcha..." his mech's shoulder recoiled as a round reached out and opened up the GM's cockpit. He smiled in satisfaction as he moved to a new position, knowing he just put that pilot out of commision perminantly. "Thats a GM down, we still have five more, and they're going to be more careful now that they know I'm a sniper..." He hunkered down in his new position and waited for another oportunity to present itself.

((Ok, lets make this a little more difficult for ourselves, that'll be the only single-shot kill I'll get against a GM.))

Dustin quickly turns in the direction of the commotion. He spots Kuro and another GM battling it out with machine-guns and doesn't even hesitate. He wasn't going to lose his only support. He took three shots at the suit. He got up as the third shot nails it in the shoulder, disabling it's left arm. He growled and got up, putting away his rifle and pulling out his axe. He charged down the GM and rammed it with his shoulder-shield. He Grappled with the suit as it held his axe arm fast. Suddenly the suit kneed his Zaku to knock it off balance. "Damn you...." Dustin rages as the GM begins to overpower him. He grits his teeth and grabs the GM by the head and attempts to crush it. The other pilot kept attempting to smash the cockpit of the Zaku but couldn't reach it, holding the axe off. Finally, Dustin let go of it's head and pulled around the rifle and shot three more times into the GM. The hand grew loose around Dustin's wrist as it fell limp to the ground. He quickly stashed the axe in it's holder, picked up the GM's heatsaber and grabbed Kuro and ran to another position. "It's not safe, I know he already called in his position...."

Dustin gritted his teeth again as the two attacked. He lost track of the one that dodged. He turned around to find the third GM flail very briefly then stop. "Here, I'll want this back too." He tossed Kuro his heathawk, activating his newly captured heatsaber. Dustin's smile turned a little evil as he twisted it in the air. "Time to hunt...." He charged off into the forest, keeping his saber ready to strike at a moments notice. "Come to me little chickies..."
