Morleas 1
It was a bright and sunny morning in Matori and he was in a fit of delight having decided to go to this little café to write. He had written his first book an adventure romance comedy and it had gone over really well. Now he was working on making the sequel and he had to make it live up to the first book. It was a but like giving birth he thought when you were done you had a great pit together thing to enjoy but thr making took time and effort and sacrifice and a lot of it spent in his own head. He was however stuck at a particular impasse and well he was hoping the fine weather and fine coffee would help him change that. He ordered and sat down to enjoy the sun and set pen to paper, his original novel was out for easy reference as he got to scribbling.

Saras 1 It was a rare day out for her and her Mother. The young woman was usually kept inside to help with her lungs. Today the air was clear. She felt perfect. She was at the cafe while her Mother was off fetching things. Sara hummed as she ordered her favorite Tea. Then a familiar book title caught her attention. "Oh..." she smiled to the young man. "I've read that one..." she pulled out her own well read copy.

Morleas 2 To say he was poleaxed was an understatement. He hadn't had many of the original printed but apparently it had gotten around. He nearly choked on his coffee, blushed, cleared his throat and tried to speak. "Oh? And, if I may ask what was your favorite part?" He was so curious. Her copy looked so well loved and it warmed his heart so much to see it. He had never met one of his fans before. He wrote the books because he loved the story. He loved the characters and it was a shock to see that at least one other person had too. He knew that the books sold relatively well and well with this encouragement he may try to get more printed. He didn't yet want to admit he was the auther he felt doing so immediately would sound self centered. He took a sip of his coffee to hide the goofy grin he could not wipe off of his face.

Saras 2 She chuckled. "A friend of mine got this for me. It helps in my recovery." she hummed. "Well, the part where the romance comes into play. Its a lovely distraction from my current situation." she sighed. "I'm recovering from....a series of unfortunate genetics. Something my brother was spared. My Mother's been trying to help me find a doctor who can figure out what's wrong with me." she leaned back. "Oh i'm sorry...you only asked what I enjoyed in the book..."

Morleas 3 He was more than a little touched that the friend had thought of his book for an ailing girl. "Well, I am very very glad it brought you comfort." He smade shifty squint eyes. "You see....I am working on the sequel right here." He patted his notebook. "Is there much that can be done for your condidtion? Maybe the medicine somewhere else would be more helpful? I'm sorry I have to admit I am curious about the only fan I have ever met of my work." Hopefully there would be more but fan #1 was always a bit thing wasn't it? Especially just starting out. He regreted that he had more talent with a pen than with anything medical. He could put a bandaid on? Too bad that likely wouldn't help her situation.

Saras 3 She shook her head. "Not that much at the moment sadly. So far its just presenting as a bad immune system. I get sick easily in shifting weather." she hummed. "I'm not allergic to pollens or anything, just easy to take to fever and sniffles." she shrugged. "So for now, staying in a sterlie homestead helps. Which the Tavern my Mother and Father run is a great place. Cold as it is up here." she laughed softly. "Mother is sending for medicine from other parts. Doesn't want me traveling right now."

Morleas 4 “Matori is a good place for you to be then.” He pushed his notes over to her on a whim. Something about her made him want to trust her. “What do you think about this arc here? Its after a slow part of the story but it picks up pretty good.” He had exactly zero people he could ask these things so she had been promoted from stranger to part time editor in his mind. She was his first fan so it was only fitting.
“Let me know if there is something I can do, Oba had many medicines my Dad could deliver some, other than that some fresh air and exercise never hurt.

Saras 4 She smiled softly to him. "I do like the air here." she hummed. "My family is from Zena...so Mother is entrusting me to a family friend who lives here in Matori while she runs the Tavern in Zena. My Father is about ready to come get me soon." she blinked as she looked over the notes. "Hmm...I noticed in your first book you hinted at a few romantic possiblities. Yet, never set one in motion."
She smiled. "I wouldn't mind trying something new. There's a medic here that Mother is paying to look after my condition."

Morleas 5 "Yes I hear Zena can get more than frosty, I have never been anywhere that cold, I spend my days here or in Oba where it is very hot." He looked down at his notes as well. "Well yes, I did want to set up a sort of friendship and the spark of a potential relationship so I could move forward with the story in the second book, delving deeper into their romance, I plan for them to discuss it quite soon. The first book was more plot line and world building, any particular way you want to see their love bloom?" He was giddy, this was so fun having someone else to talk to about this!
"Don't take this the wrong way but I hope your Dad doesn't steal you too soon, I am greatly enjoying your company."

Saras 5 She chuckled at his energy. This was something she needed greatly. Someone to just talk with while she was trying to distract herself. She wasn't feeling the best at the moment, but talking distracted her mind from the rest of her. She hummed. "I would think naturally the romantic partner was the best friend. I know that's rather overplayed, but the chemistry was just there for those two."

Morleas 6 “Usually Im not a huge fan of slow burn but the characters wouldnt have it any other way and who am I to question the inky gods?” He looked at her and saw the paleness and the slightly pinched expression. “Are you okay? Im sorry if ai got a bit carried away I just havent ever had anyone I could bounce ideas off of before. I get so caught up when I write or plan that hours can pass by without me noticing too much has changed… until I have to light a candle and get these awful baggies under my eyes. I dont have much support family wise. My Dad is a drifter and my aunts on his side do their best but they are all in Oba. My Mom probably shouldnt have had kids but here I am writing my little achey breaky heart out.” If there was anything he could do to help her he would. “I realize friendship to romance is overplayed but from my coffee shop observations it does happen in real life perhaps more often then we notice.

Saras 6 She nodded. "Oh I'm fine, I just need a few more days to adjust to the climate. Zena is colder. So my ice blood was happy up there...now I'm down here...my shifter blood is squeaking up a storm." she chuckled. "Mother always had a weird way of speaking, so I got a few things from her." she nodded as he explained his family a bit. "I'm sorry. Mother's overprotective since my twin ran off without a word to us, granted I had a bad fainting spell in our Tavern over in Matori. The Horseshoe. Caused me to break a few bowls cuz I fainted in the kitchen. Mother and Father rushed me to the healers...we came back a few days later and my brother as well as his kinfa were gone."

Morleas 7 “Hmm maybe there was some sort of emergency or something that took your twin away, how long ago and have you had any word from him?” He hoped it wasnt because her sibling was liek his flakey mother but each person walked their own path. He used writing as a kind of therapy and part and parcel if writing was travel so they he could experience more so he actually had something to write about. He created his own worlds and they the characters were technically under his control though some days it seemed like they wrote for themselves.

Saras 7 She nodded. "Perhaps...I don't know for sure. I haven't been able to reach out to him. I know he's in Matori...I just..." she looked at her wrists were a bracelt rested. It was a trinket that she and her brother made. She hoped he still had his. "I'm going to find out. Before I go home..."

Morleas 8 "I don't blame you if I were in your shoes I would be interested too. I found my mystery once, my uh Mother, she isn't a spirit that should have had a child she is more of the responsibility free type. I'm glad that your family is trying so hard, I'm sure it will all work out in the end." For example his father would eventually blow into town from one of his far flung long lost battles and take him to breakfast, crash at his place and then be off on the next whirlwind adventure. He paid a lot of bills back in Oba working as hard as he did, Morleas was proud of him, but it didnt make for a steady relationship when your parental figure poofed every four days. HIs aunts had more raised him and they had done a good job. He wanted to make them proud.
