Leona was hoping that there would be a real cold front moving in soon. She wanted the air to be crisp and crackling, and right now…it still seemed to be clinging to the last dregs of summer and…it was almost October...it was time for nice weather.
She gave a sigh and idly walked through the wooded area, pausing when she felt the aura of a Senshi, and then with a shrug, she made her way towards it.
Senshi weren’t bad. Most of the time, at least. And those who did throw apples at her apologized for it and things were great.
This one.
Leona tilted her head and moved closer to the Senshi. “You’re one from Space, I take it? I’m Sailor Leona, it’s nice to meet you…ah…forgive me but…”
Her eyes had seemed to zone in on it. “...Do you have hair on your knees?” As Leona forced her eyes to move upwards she blinked. “Your elbows too! Does that get itchy in the hot weather?”

Her very first instinct, upon feeling an aura of Chaos coming straight for her, was to attack. Didn't matter what it was, if it radiated Chaos, it was The Enemy and had to be defeated. No this wouldn't help save her world from the Chaos that infected it, because this was Earth and not Terebellum, but All Chaos Must Die. It all came from the same source.
It was only as she was flying at Leona that she felt the subtle difference in the Chaos. It felt more like a reflection of something, than true 'evil' (though being unable to feel the senshi's Resonance, she couldn't be sure one way or the other).
A punch flew towards Leona's head, vibrating with barely contained magic, and it was as it sailed past her - missing by luck or by intention, Tere was not sure - did Terebellum realize that Leona was speaking to her. The senshi stumbled past, tail lashing with confusion and spun on the balls of her feet.
"I-I'm.... what?" she asked stupidly, yellow eyes blinking at Leona. She glanced at her elbows and knees and suddenly felt a little self conscious about the fur there. It was just another trait that had marked her as 'lowborn' and 'unworthy' of the mantle of senshi. Her horns, her tail, the markings on her face... She was a walking symbol of the divide that brought her world to the brink.
Terebellum knocked her knees together, trying to hide the tufs of fur under her skirt in shame.

“Oh gosh, I’m sorry if I embarrassed you! Is that not normal on your planet? Have you thought about like, shaving it?”
Leona…felt bad. Ashamed that she had mentioned it, but it was the first thing she noticed, and honestly…it looked kind of soft.
“Look! I’m Leona, it’s nice to meet you, I’m…sorry that I upset you, I really…really wasn’t trying to! I’ve met a lot of you Senshi from space, and I just…it was the first thing that I noticed! It looks super soft, but if it’s something that bothers you, there’s so many ways around to get rid of unwanted hair? It shouldn’t be an issue if it really bothers you…”
She had ducked away from the punch, feeling…concerned, but also that she had earned the ire of this woman.
“We don’t have to fight, I like Senshi, most of you guys are so nice!”

Terebellum stood there blinking for several seconds as Leona kept talking. She absolutely felt the Chaos radiating off of her, but it felt kinda weird - wait, didn't she encounter a senshi like this before? He'd called himself a Dark Mirror senshi or something? Was that Leona? A Dark Mirror?
"So-sorry, just. Hold one moment...?" she asked, desperate to try to get her bearings. This would be the second Dark Mirror she'd met who wanted to talk and not fight and stars above the Chaos rolling off of her made it really hard to not want to punch her!! The Senshi of Resonance took a breath, pressing a hand to one of her horns to steady herself. Once, she'd been able to feel her own Resonance that way, though here all she felt was the bone curled against her skull. Still, the action was calming simply on it's own, and Terebellum let out a second breath, her fight or flight instinct sufficiently calmed.
"I apologize for attacking you without thinking; it is very hard to distinguish your kind of senshi from the rest of Chaos," she said, placing a hand on her chest and giving a small bow, as used to be customary to her people. No need to tell her that she had a complicated relationship with Chaos in general, and that her world was all by consumed by it. At least, not yet. Maybe if she asked. Maybe.
Terebellum pushed back her hood, letting her white hair spill down over her shoulder and fully showing off her curling ram horns and floppy furred ears. "I am Terebellum. As for the fur on my knees and elbows... it is... a marker of the lowborn of my people. As are most of my features. It... has been a mark of shame for a very long time..." Her words trailed off, and she resisted trying to make herself as small as possible as best she could. The advisors were long, long dead at this point; anyone who remembered her from the fall was also long dead.

Leona frowned and moved a step closer towards Terebellum and scoffed. “Well. If that’s a mark of shame, it’s stupid. I’m sorry that they thought such things. Honestly, it looks very soft, and must be nice in cooler weather…is…is the rest of your skin covered in hair?”
She couldn’t really tell, and she wasn’t trying to be mean. “We have hair, you know! We humans. You can’t see it, not really but we do...most of us. Honestly, It’s common to have like, long hair on your head or face! I see nothing wrong with what you have, and honestly? You should be proud of it, I think. If it meant you were lower class than others…well…Terebellum…you were the Senshi, so clearly…you were better than them by default?”
Okay, so she wasn’t sure that was really how it worked…but at this point, Leona really just wanted to make the poor thing feel better...

As Leona started to ask questions and seemed genuinely curious about her features, the tension started to leech from Tere's shoulders. It confused her to no possible end that that this senshi was actually curious about her. Her entire life had been people making snide comments about her appearance and status and bloodline.
To have someone interested was... so different.
"Ah... no more than your average human, beyond the tuffs of fur on my ears, elbows and knees?" she said, still rather bewildered. She really wasn't used to this, and it sort of made her uncomfortable. Her tail flicked back and forth behind her, ruffling her skirt.
"It was... complicated. I was the first lowborn Terebellum chose as it's senshi in several generations, and the ruling class was... intent on keeping power," she said after a moment. She appreciated the Leona was trying to make her feel better, even just a little bit, though when you'd been in stasis for a thousand years, the past still felt more like the present. "I am trying to move past it - they cannot harm me any longer - but the past is... hard to forget."

Leona made a face and withdrew a small bag of candy from subspace and offered it to the green Senshi, shaking her head. “Seriously? LIke. That’s so stupid. People who are highborn and wealthy are just. Awful. Let’s just eat the rich. You’re perfect just the way you are, and clearly you had power that they could only dream of. You were the one that your planet chose so, heck on them! Embrace your furry knees and elbows. They’re cute! Seriously, I wasn’t trying to say anything bad about them, they…”
She hesitated and then grinned sheepishly at Terebellum. “Can I…touch your elbow? Please? I promise I won’t ask again I just. I want to see if it’s as soft as it looks!”
And she hoped it was! “You’ll be so festive when the holidays come around! Oh gosh, honestly though. All joking aside. You’re beautiful, and you should be proud of you.”

Terebellum took a piece of candy from the bag, and smiled at Leona. She didn't understand this senshi; by all rights, shouldn't she want to murder Tere, or corrupt her or so something equally terrible? That was what Chaos did. It destroyed, it consumed. It turned the nicest people into monsters.
Yet Leona just... seemed like a normal person. She was... mundane, down to earth, simply curious about her. Yes, Chaos radiated from her, but the person beneath it didn't feel... bad. If she could just sense her Resonant, she'd know for sure.
She shifted slightly, tail lazily moving from side to side. She wasn't used to someone looking at her and calling her... beautiful.
"You remind me a little of... someone I knew growing up, you know," she said, a fond sound in her voice. "You can touch them. They are pretty soft."

“Oh yeah?” Leona smiled warmly and gently reached out, stroking the soft elbow fur and giving a happy noise. “Oh, it is soft! How could people think that this was bad? They’re idiots. Terebellum, you are amazing, and I’m very happy that I get the chance to meet you! Are you doing okay on Earth? Have people been nice to you? You haven’t gotten into any trouble, have you?”
She was concerned. Those from Space…it would obviously be hard for them, but.
“If you have, and someone’s been rude to you? Just let me know who it is and if I can I’ll teach them to have some manners! We Senshi have to stick together.”
Leona knew that her ideas weren’t…the best but. She liked Senshi. They were nice. Sure they walked different paths, but they were friends, and she saw no reason for them to not be.

Terebellum chuckled a little, watching Leona touch her fur. She hummed softly, eyes fluttering shut for a moment. It felt nice, good even. "She too told me to eat the rich, more than once." Leona was so very... odd. She didn't even feel very suspicious, just very genuine.
Genuine wasn't something Terebellum was used to.
"Mmm... I usually find the trouble. As you experienced, I tend to have a 'punch first, ask questions later' approach to Chaos in general. Other Deep Space senshi have been kind; I've helped a couple with expelling the Chaos from their worlds. No one has been rude to me that I can mention, though," she said, giving Leona a smile and tentatively patted her shoulder.
"That said... I still do not have many friends here on Earth and..." her cheeks flushed a deeper green and she glanced off to the side, embarrassed, "... could we be friends? You've been nothing but kind, and while the Chaos in you makes me cringe, I want to understand it? It's... different from the Chaos I'm used to, and... you don't seem bad or evil. You seem kind and supportive and I want to learn more I... suppose.
"If.... if that's okay?" Tere bit her lip, yellow eyes glancing back at Leona with a sheepish smile.

Leona’s eyes sparkled and she nodded eagerly. “Of course it’s okay. I want to be friends. Absolutely. And if you do ever get into any trouble. I’ve got your back! Promise. Also, your friend absolutely sounds perfect, because I agree with her. Eat the rich, and they should mind their own business and they were just clearly jealous of how amazing you are, that they wanted to make you feel bad for it. Which. Sucks.”
Reaching out, she patted Terebellum on her shoulder as well, figuring that maybe it was something from her home, something she would do with her friends. She could be friendly, obviously.
“I’d be very happy to see you again, and to hear about your home, and I’d love to tell you about Mirrorspace and my Realm too…if you’d want to hear? Info for info?”

She was. The words wouldn't leave her mouth, so she just smiled and nodded in reply. Her best friend had been there for her since the beginning... until Tere lead her to her downfall.
"I... I would like that. To learn about this Mirrorspace," she dodged around the idea of talking about her home. It wasn't... maybe it was better if it stayed in stasis and was forgotten, to be honest. Maybe it was for the best.
Maybe.
