■ Boring and Useless is how Nic would summarize the class. He opened the book enough to pass his OWLs along with being polite enough to listen to the Professor but he did not much more.
xxxCHARMS ~ Exxx
■ Nic was more talented at niches of Charms than the entirity of the subject. He could do amazing metal charming for example that he learned from his Aunt Lola but he struggled to do a cleaning charm. 'Tis life.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Oxxx
■ As an aspiring cursebreaker it was reasonable that Nic should be excellent at DADA. Yet, it was more than that Nic was naturally gifted in the subject and his lack of fear made creatures like boggarts run from him.
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Oxxx
■ Between herbology club, working in his family's gardens/farms, and his touch of nymph blood it was hardly surprising he snagged an O in this course.
xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Exxx
■ History of magic was interesting for someone who initially grew up in the muggle world. Still, having to learn two different world's history sometimes tangled timelines and dates. Nic wished he did better on his OWLs but accepted that to do so would sacrafice his grades in other classes.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Exxx
■ Nic was not a man of the kitchen and perhaps it was why Nic had to pay closer attention to his potions than some of his classmates. At the end of the day Nic was proud enough of his E in Potions.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Oxxx
■ The mathmatical elements of Transfiguration helped Nic master what he considered a relatively complex subject early on. With his logical mind and talent at magic overall he did quite well in the subject with an Outstanding.

xxxARITHMANCY ~ Oxxx
■ Nic had always been gifted in maths and even was studying muggle A-level trignometry and pre-calculus before he chose to only focus on his wizarding studies. He made use of his Aunt Lola's knowledge on the subject but more importantly embraced Professor Marcs' open door policy.
xxxCURSEBREAKING ~ Oxxx
■ Once Nic had decided he would be a cursebreaker he threw his all into the course. His DADA talent only helped along with his analytical mind. He easily got one of the top grades in this class earning himself a well deserved O.
xxxSTUDY OF ANCIENT RUNES ~ Axxx
■ While Nic was gifted in math and analytics he was not as gifted in foreign languages and linguistics. He worked hard in this class understanding the importance of it with his future plans but he had to accepte he was merely Acceptable in this course so far.
xxxWANDLESS MAGIC PRACTICE CLASS ~ Axxx
■ Nic thought wandless magic was cool. And as he was part nymph arguably he might have a step up in wandless. As it proved he was more like his grandfather the wandmaker who was quite attached to his wand.
xxxWIZARD LAW ~ Axxx
■ Rules and regulations were of interest to Nic so he signed up for Wizard Law on a whim. He didn't devot nearly the time he should and it showed - he didn't fail at least.

xxxCHARMS ~ Exxx
■ Nic was an excelent student so even his less favorite classes (he saw charms as a bit fluffy - don't tell his Aunt Lola) he was determined to do well. Was he embarrassed by an E not an O in Charms? Yes. An E is still not a bad grade though and Nic accepted it (as if he had a choice).
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Oxxx
■ A combination of Nic's competiveness and his skills at problem solving made him talented at DADA. The fact he assigned himself a private classroom and a desk in the library to study didn't hurt, either. Nic was determined not to lose against any component and at the basics that was what DADA was about.
xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Oxxx
■ Nic was a quarter wood nymph and the Captain of the Herbology club and dating a part nymph. Of course he got an Outstanding in Herbology.
xxxPOTIONS ~ Exxx
■ Nic's lack of patience at times was his greatest fault in pottions. He was quite good at the craft though thanks to his ability to follow exact instructions quite well. With his dedication to his studies his E in Potions was not surprising.
xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Oxxx
■ Transfiguration was a mathmatical puzzle that Nic found with his talent at magic helped him (in his opinion) easily score an Outstanding.

xxxARITHMANCY ~ Oxxx
■ Nic was always talented in math. When he was going to muggle school he was always enrolled in advanced maths with his mother to assist if he ever needed it. After his mum he had his aunt to talk mathmatics with even though she was a Charms professor. It was only natural he would easily pick up Arithmancy.
xxxCURSEBREAKING ~ Oxxx
■ This was the class that made him fall fully in love with the wizarding world and its possibilities. He stopped seeing himself as held back by Hogwarts but gifted with his Hogwarts education. He changed goals from being a muggle stocck broker to a cursebreaker. His love and interest was obvious with him almost scoring perfect in Cursebreaking.
xxxSTUDY OF ANCIENT RUNES ~ Oxxx
■ Nic only got an A on his Study of Ancient Runes OWL. Realizing his "destiny" of becoming a cursebreaker he stepped up his work went over his first three years of studies and dug into his work for his sixth and seventh year. It paid off just as he planned - a solid Outstanding.
xxxWANDLESS MAGIC PRACTICE CLASS ~ Axxx
■ Some things Nic didn't get better in: Wandless. He kept up with the class in the middle of the road. Despite relatives (the nymphs in the family) not needing wands forr magic, he took more after his grandfather, a wandmaker, who benefited from the use of a wand. Nic supposed he would hold his custom made wand by his grandfather close.
xxxS C O R ExxxN O T E:xxxxxxxxxxxxNic was always highly dedicated to his studies. His mother had left him with a love of learning and his aunt was a professor. Nic dedicated at least an hour and a half of his free time on weekdays and at least half of either Saturday or Sunday for studying. Nic had decided to be a cursebreaker but he knew how difficult it could be and Nic was not going to ruin his chance. He hated losing.
