Flicking her tail and watching the other carefully she knew things would be rocky with this one. At least they didn’t appear to be swimming in liquor tonight. “Be glad you don’t have to touch them. You can let your little wraith do the work. Plus there are fewer mirror court senshi so doing even a bit is appreciated to sustain things.” She couldn’t push him the same as if they were in the Negaverse but she wasn’t going to let them do nothing either.

Walking beside them, she kept his signature hidden because she didn’t need them getting picked off already by someone. She wouldn’t say it but she didn’t really like managing the fresh senshi because she was already had trouble with things by being down one eye. She never brought it up, it wasn’t anyone’s business except Aloysius. She just let them think she had heterochromia and didn’t let them get a better look at the milky blue eye.

“At least you don’t have to walk across town as much anymore, you can use the mirrors. Think of the positives and remember you can keep those bothersome monsters off you now as well.”

The sway of her tail paused as she eyed him. “No, I prefer to walk.” More so she preferred to be carried by Liam or Aloysius because she didn’t appreciate the scent of alcohol they had on them last time. They didn’t smell as much of it this time but she didn’t like that idea very much still. Plus on the off chance that another senshi showed up, it wouldn’t do Hedwig well to have his arms tied up holding her.

“Do you mean the mess of Order as well as the Negaverse which Melpomene finds himself allied with through Chalcanthite? If so then yes I can explain a bit. Order seems to have not only senshi similar to yourself but others that are ancient which found their way to this world. I don’t like them one bit because unlike me, they seem to be running amok one way or another. Always causing trouble to the local population. There are knights which are similar to Chalcanthite but they rely heavily on magic and there are many different worlds they pull their power from. I can point some of them out if we ever see them but it would be best to stay back since they need to be close in most cases to do anything.”

Pausing in her patrol, she thudded into his leg as she narrowed her eyes. “Recall your wraith, I feel an order senshi nearby. Looks like you may be meeting another faction tonight. They won’t be able to sense you because of me but if they see your wraith they can follow it and find us.” Which wouldn’t bode well but she would give it her best shot at scratching or biting at the senshi to give Hedwig a chance. Then when she went home she would convince Liam to make her something extra special as a reward for helping this senshi.

“They are misinformed is what they are. They think chaos, in any form, needs to be purged. But they fail to realize that the chaos out there is more dangerous than the mirror or the negaverse.” Tutting she flicked her tail again before circling Hedwig’s feet.

“I believe, that mirror seeks to sustain itself but that is more Melpomene’s point to explain. Metallia needs energy to keep up a sort of bubble around Earth to prevent the life here from being destroyed. The ends justify the means but order doesn’t want to consider that at all. Chalcanthite has been around longer and can go over more for that but the problem stems from a lack of communication I would have to say. Though the mirror tends to toe the line between booths sides in a precarious position of balance.”

It was something she knew worried Aloysius greatly when it came to Liam going out alone even though she knew they could both handle themselves quite well. At least neither of them just stayed home and neglected their duties, which was something she appreciated even more now that she had another type of senshi to figure out and follow. It was more exciting, all these new projects she got to manage, and she was all for it as she eyed the approaching order senshi.

“It’s seems she’s here. At least one rank above you though temperament I can’t really tell yet.”

“Something more sinister of course but as to why the senshi and knights that go out there are unaffected… that needs more research to be done which is what Chalcanthite works on. There are some senshi who are more directly effected by the chaos from space, it warps and muddles their magic similar to the way your magic might not play nice until you adjust. Though your reason is because your spark was kindled a bit later than usual.”

Flattening her ears a bit as she settled on the ground to watch the approaching senshi. She was a little irked by the naivety of this senshi already. It just wasn’t that easy with all the cards on the table and secrets being kept. Everyone also had their own interests and agendas so it didn’t help the situation either. But that was a lot to say and she could say even more than that on the topic but now wasn’t the time.

“Are we not allowed to wander undisturbed?” Curling her tail around her feet as she sat and stared at the approaching senshi, Desiree just took the time to memorize details that she knew would need to be put into a report. The mirror court might not do that but Chalcanthite was meticulous about it and that had rubbed off on her as well.

“I don’t see any bodies around, do you? So I would say the answer is no, we aren’t causing any trouble.” Her tone was flat even if it did seem like she was a teacher scolding a student, more and more things that she’d picked up from a decade in the Sharp home before Liam wandered in.

“I don’t really know myself but that’s because I’m newer to all this. Chalcanthite has over a decade of research and notes into all this and even then apparently the chaos out there is over a thousand years old. But you can hear all sorts of stories from all sorts of people if you’re careful enough.” Which was something he’d have to learn to keep up the balancing act between things if he didn’t want to get too banged up.

Taking a step towards the senshi she growled slightly and puffed up. She didn’t like order, but it was for her own reasons. They’d been the ones who had put Aloysius through a lot of harshness and had almost taken Liam away from them both. Even if this wasn’t the senshi that had done it, she still let her extreme dislike for them show.

“The same can be said about your kind too, especially when they throw people off rooves or hit them with some rusty piece of metal without considering they might have a family or someone waiting for them to return home.” Another step as she kept her tail fluffed up and at attention, she really was still in a poor mood over being interrupted in her lessons with Hedwig. Especially as it got into topics she had been curious in her own way about. It would mean more time talking with Benitoite while disguised as a civilian or Chalcanthite while he kept everyone’s signatures hidden. It was better that way because the small home in the city was hers just as much as the large one on the outskirts was Aloysius’s and Liam’s.

The problem with only having vision in one eye was now really putting her at a disadvantage and she hissed as the magic and talismans ignited. Darting back she licked at where she’d gotten hit the worst, her right paw. “See, this is why.” Looking back up at Hedwig as she limped slightly, Desiree still stood between him and the order senshi. “Not all of them hurt people, just as people shear sheep we drain just the excess off the top. But looks like you aren’t one of the reasonable ones either.” Internally she smiled, knowing that it proved a point in a way towards what she was saying earlier to Hedwig. But now she was considering beaming this nasty senshi just for the hell of it.

“Try your magic… if it doesn’t work I have a backup plan but you’ll need to pick me up and run after because it tires me out a lot.” Whispering as she bumped into the mirror senshi’s leg, she then started back at the other senshi.

“Yes magic…” Nodding and bumping into their leg one more time before they decided to move, she got ready to jump up if she needed to. It was nice to see that nothing outwardly seemed to be going wrong with Hedwig when they used their magic and she took that pause from the senshi’s approach to leap up carefully into Hedwig's arms.

The order senshi did have a slight point as not every agent or corrupt drained people nonviolently but that wasn’t how she, Chalcanthite, nor Melpomene allowed those under them to handle things. A soft hand was better, gathering up energy without harm meant you could tap a source again. If someone got hurt or died that could cause ripples through things and cause more trouble than good.

“Let’s go, there’s a mirror close just down a few blocks. Hurry before she gets her senses back.”
