Sabrina had been wanting to get out of the house and go Halloween shopping ever since she saw the Halloween merch hit the stores. Sadly her parents were all busy decorating the hotel and making sure guests were set. Honestly, they didn't have the time to go with her. Not only that but she felt a growing sense of frustration and disappointment. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she had been looking forward to picking out decorations and costumes. Missing out on the shopping trip made her feel left out.
She sat there in her room staring at her ceiling when an idea popped in her head. She needed to take Bellalunae to the groomer anyways. So maybe she could use that as an excuse. Sabrina's eyes lit up with excitement as she jumped off her bed and started gathering her things. She carefully placed Bellalunae into her carrier, humming a Halloween tune under her breath. The thought of finally getting to shop for her favorite holiday filled her with a renewed sense of joy and anticipation.

Bellalunea was not thrilled being thrown into a cage. She didn't fight it, but man she hated it. It was as if someone was locking her up and just the thought of that made her want to claw someone's eyes out. If only her human had any idea what she was capable of she would never dare to do this. Well she thought that way until she noticed something coming through the top hole of her carrier. It was some specialty cat treats. They were the cat treats the hotel chief made up every day just for her. She quietly took one in her mouth and chewed on it as she watched through the hole of her cage.
Sabrina's parents were truly some easy humans. They let their daughter go out without a second thought. To trusting in her eyes, if only they knew what chaos lay outside those doors. Maybe then they would treat their daughter a little differently. Not that she really cared one way or another, but still.

Kianna had been meaning to take their dogs to the groomers for days, but with school, track, and senshi duties she just hadn't had the time. That was until now when she was sitting on the comfy leather couch in the kitchen and she heard her mother in the kitchen. "Kianna, are you planning to take the dogs to the groomers today?" her mother called out. Her voice was tinged with a mixture of curiosity and gentle reminder. Kianna sighed, knowing she couldn't put it off any longer.
"Yes, Mom, I'll take them now," she replied as she quickly got off the couch. Kianna felt a mix of relief and resignation as she grabbed the dogs' leashes from the hook by the door. She knew it was a task that needed to be done, but part of her wished she could just relax for a little longer. Nonetheless, she put on a determined smile, ready to cross one more thing off her list. Her dogs were big huskies with thick, double-layered coats that required regular grooming to prevent matt and to keep them comfortable. So she knew grooming was important. She walked over to the dogs.
The moment her dogs saw the leashes, they began to wag their tails furiously and prance around with excitement. Their enthusiasm brought a genuine smile to Kianna's face, momentarily lifting her spirits. She knew that despite the effort, seeing her dogs happy made it all worthwhile. "I'm going now mom! See ya later - love ya!" she said as she had finished putting on the dogs leashes and headed out the door.

Sabrina was so excited her parents agreed Sabrina's eyes lit up with joy as she heard her parents' agreement. She held onto Bellalunae, her beloved cat, and while still holding the pet carrier. She quickly gave her parents hugs and kisses. "Thank you! We'll see you soon!" she said to her parents as she rushed out the door. The thought of Bellalunae getting pampered at the groomer filled her with excitement, and she couldn't wait to see her cat looking even more beautiful than before. Not only that but now she could also go Halloween shopping.
Sabrina's mind buzzed with ideas for the perfect costume as she imagined the colorful decorations and spooky accessories she'd find at the store. Her excitement grew with each step, thinking about the haunted houses, candy-filled pumpkins, and the fun she would have with her friends. She couldn't wait to dive into the Halloween spirit and make this year unforgettable. As she ascended on the groomer she smiled and spoke to Bellalunae, "Time to get you pampered!" But as she walked into the door she ran right into what looked like a very fluffy dog maybe two!

Bellalunae could smell the dogs from here. She hated that her cat carrier even touched the likes of them. Bellalunae hissed and flattened her ears against her head, her tail puffing up like a bottle brush. She glared through the carrier's mesh, clearly displeased by the proximity of the dogs. Sabrina gently rubbed the side of the carrier, whispering soothing words to calm her beloved cat. Not that she needed it but it did help since being a magical cat you still had instincts like a cat. And dogs and cats do not mix.

Kianna quickly apologized, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry! Are you alright? My dogs got a little ahead of me." Kianna quickly gathered the leashes and pulled her dogs back to her side, ensuring they stayed calm and under control. She crouched down to check on Sabrina and Bellalunae, making sure they were okay. "They're usually very well-behaved," Kianna said, giving the dogs a gentle but firm command to sit. "I think they are just excited about the groomer. Are you headed there too? Oh and my name is Kianna, nice to meet ya!"
The dogs, now sitting obediently beside Kianna, seemed equally curious about the new arrival. One of them gave a tentative wag of its tail, while the other let out a soft whine, as if trying to make peace with the disgruntled feline.

Bellalunae's eyes remained fixed on the dogs, her whiskers twitching with unease. Sabrina smiled at Kianna, appreciating her effort to control the situation. "Nice to meet you, Kianna. This is Bellalunae, and yes, we're here for a grooming appointment too," she said, hoping the calming words would ease the tension. She quickly moved the carrier away and opened the door for both of them. She didn't want to be late but she also didn't want to be rude. Since this person seemed really nice and not only that but she felt a connection between the two of them. She just wasn't sure what it was.

Bellalunae's ears twitched, but she seemed to settle slightly, sensing the dogs' more relaxed demeanor. Bellalunae's tail flicked nervously, but she didn't hiss or growl. Instead, she cautiously sniffed the air, her eyes narrowing as she tried to assess the situation. Slowly, she began to relax, her body language softening as she realized the huskies posed no immediate threat. "Well I might as well just enjoy my snacks," she thought in her head as she began to munch on the few treats she had left. After all these dogs weren't magic nor worth her time.

"Maybe we can wait together," Kianna suggested, trying to make the best of the situation. "It might help Bellalunae get used to the dogs if they see there's no danger." She quickly hurried to the door and checked in her two dogs. "They really are just big babies with lots of fur," she said as she sat down and petted her two huskies. The two huskies, now calmer, lay down beside Kianna, occasionally glancing over at Bellalunae with mild curiosity.

Sabrina nodded, considering the idea. "That sounds like a good plan. Besides, it's always nice to have a friendly chat while we wait." She quickly checked in her cat and took a seat next to Kianna, her hand gently resting on the carrier, and the two women began to chat, making the wait feel a bit more pleasant for everyone involved. "So, how long have you had your Huskies?" Sabrina asked, genuinely curious. She glanced at the dogs, admiring their thick fur and bright eyes. "They seem so well-behaved. I've had my cat for a couple years now." She remembered how she had found her on the cold dark street. Just a kitten who needed a home she could call her own. It wasn't long before the whole family hotel knew she was a permanent resident.

Bellalunae just relaxed in her cage and waited for the lady to call her name. She was just done with these fluffy looking dogs. The way they just obeyed a human's command. Well lets just say she didn't feel like they were that intelligent.

Kianna smiled warmly as she began to share her story. "I've had them since they were puppies," she said, her eyes lighting up with fond memories. "They've always been a handful, but with lots of training and love, they've become the gentle giants you see now." "It wasn't easy at first," Kianna continued, "Huskies are known for their stubbornness and high energy. I had to be very consistent with their training, using positive reinforcement techniques like treats and praise. We also spent a lot of time socializing them with other dogs and people, which helped them become more well-behaved." She said with a smile when she suddenly heard her name called. She quickly walked the dogs up to the counter of the groomer. The groomer greeted Kianna with a warm smile, kneeling down to pet the huskies. "These two look like they’ve been well taken care of," she remarked, noting their glossy coats and calm demeanor. Kianna handed over their leashes, giving each dog an affectionate pat before the groomer led them to the back for their grooming session.

Sabrina smiled, appreciating Kianna's dedication. "It sounds like a lot of hard work, but it's definitely paid off," she said, glancing at Bellalunae. "My cat is quite independent, but she also took some time to adjust and trust us. Every pet has their own unique journey, don't they?" She said as after Kianna had checked in her dogs her name was called. Sabrina handed over the cat carrier to the groomer, who gave her a nod and a reassuring smile. "We'll take good care of Bellalunae," the groomer promised, gently lifting the carrier and heading towards the grooming area. Sabrina watched as Bellalunae disappeared from sight, feeling a mixture of anticipation and affection for her beloved cat. After noticing both their animals were off to be pampered she turned and ask Kianna, "Would you like to hunt for some Halloween pet stuff with me?"

Kianna's eyes lit up at the suggestion, and she nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely, that sounds like so much fun! I love Halloween, and it would be great to find some cute costumes for the dogs," she replied, her excitement evident in her voice. Together, they strolled into the pet store, their footsteps echoing on the polished floor. The Halloween section was adorned with colorful decorations, spooky toys, and an array of costumes. Kianna and Sabrina eagerly began sifting through the racks, laughing and sharing ideas for their pets' new festive outfits.Quote: FINISHED Total word count: 1741
