We are currently looking for: Loremasters, Certists and Colorists (both full-time and part-time)
Rules:
Do not use the lineart provided for anything but this hiring thread. All work posted must be your own work. We will hire at our leisure. Even if we like someone, we may take awhile to hire them. Primarily because we need time to discuss if we even need a new member, time to review that persons behavior in the shop and elsewhere before, and also to consider if that position is needed at that current time. This thread does not close. viatorai is ultimately in charge of hiring! V does take into consideration the critiques of the entire staff team, but the ultimate decision lies with V. V often watches this thread. If you are not chosen, don't sweat it! Lots of things are taken in to consideration. If you have not heard from us in 30 days it is safe to assume we are not going to contact you- but fear not! We may just be in a lull and not need additional help. You are welcome to reapply as time goes on. For colorists: If you ask us for critique, we will be honest with you. We will not be hurtful, but sometimes applicants' skill levels just aren't what we are looking for at the time. If you receive a critique that indicates you are not ready to work for the shop, keep practicing! The only way to get better to is to keep drawing. You are always welcome to reapply when you feel your skill level has increased. If you edit your form, please include in red the time and date you did so at the top of your form. We have our staff credit system public! Please ensure you're comfortable with payment before applying! When we ask for sample adjustments for apps, please submit all new samples unless we specify otherwise! Samples on official lines will be given away after hiring; please do not submit as samples anything you intend to keep. NEW! You are 100% allowed to apply as an unedited colorist and work your way up to doing edits! NEW! We take into consideration the time it takes you to complete your application from when you post it. Please be aware of this!

We've realized that we need more hands on deck for coloring and would love to open the doors and add some more colorists! We are interested in adding at least 2 new full-time or part-time colorists.
Full-time Responsibilities:
Coloring at least three phoxes a month. Open customs at least once every two months Open breedings at least once every two months Contribute at least three pets to every event. Finishing breedings and customs within a timely manner (90 days) Be willing/able to take on free work, such as RP point customs, quest raffle wins, or set up your own flatsales as needed. Produce clean artwork and fix any mistakes when they are brought to their attention. Help to run events. Work as a team with other colorists. Work with Loremasters to provide specific premades for major events as needed
Part-Time Responsibilities:

Application Samples: While we welcome people with all sorts of art styles to apply, we try to have a general aesthetic. If you are unsure of what style to go for, be sure to check out some of the pets in the drop-offs to gauge what we already have here in the shop! Your lines should be similar to what the bases have- a basic pen tool will do. Binary (used in pixel art) lines are not acceptable.
The following features are okay to add to the samples:
Custom expressions Custom and extra Tails (up to 4 tails) Custom Wings (No bigger than the phox itself) Horns, claws, fangs Clothing and accessories Your Own Shading Style!
The following is not allowed:
Extra limbs or new body parts Multiple full-sized wings More than 4 tails
If you're interested in applying then please PM the mule, Phoxy Chef, to receive access to the two poses of lineart! You may only use the base provided in the download for samples unless you are hired. Please do not post your samples anywhere but here in this thread. You may show them to other shop patrons, but staff are not allowed to give you critiques. We want to see what you want to make, without us prodding you in a specific direction. If you absolutely need a critique, you may ask for viatorai to do one for you!
Be sure to fill out the form entirely. Missing pieces will disqualify you.
BREEDING SAMPLE OPTIONS; You may mix and match to your heart's content, but please keep in mind the maximum number of Phoxes that can produce bowls in the case of a Poly Breeding is Four! You may also do a singular 'rogue' breeding if you wish. Please note; these Phoxes are already owned, but were generously offered up to be used for breeding samples! Thank you to Vis, Summer, Ebon, Drani, V, Noxi, Ankh and Moxx! Unless the owners agree, any offspring you color will NOT actually be related to the phoxes!

You'll be credited for the lineart, and while you will not be an official part of staff (unless you ALSO want to apply for that position!) we can work out your payment in the form of plat, SC or straight-up just phoxes created for you!

you NEED a photoshop program unfortunately unless u know how to get the certs to work in another program You'll be considered full time and need to do at LEAST 10 certs a week, more if we're having big events, less if we're in a lull! For every 10 certs you produce you get 1SC. For more on the credit system, see this thread!

Why Do You Want to Work For Us?: First, I love the lines and the shop theme. It's adorable! And second, I've been wanting to do something new or different than what I'm doing now and these seem so fun and just a breath of fresh air. (Not to say I don't love working at Soquili, I would just like to do something new and for lack of a better word, simpler, not so many templates and breeds,etc.)
Anything Else:I'm also willing to do edits but I'm not used to cell shading, which is why I'm not applying as an edited colorist. I wouldn't mind doing small edits as I get more comfortable with the style if thats something that you would allow.

Username: ChaosTheories Preferred Name & Pronouns: Chaos, she/her Timezone: CST (all year round, we do not observe DST). At this time of year, we are the same as MDT. Shops Previously Worked For: Many of them. I think most notable were Stallion of the Cimarron, Sibael, iZune, and Ponies of Chincoteague.
Samples: The certs from Sibael are examples of cert recolouring to go with the theme of the pet. The iZune and Stallion of the Cimarron certs show how I dealt with pets that were not the standard size and how I could edit a cert to fit a theme or customer request.
