So you Want To Know About Domains?
Think of domains as their own little contained worlds. One door may lead to a mountainous region with stormy weather, while another may lead to a sunny perfect-weather beach. Another may lead to something reminiscent of Victorian England, but the door beside it leads to a cyberpunk future. The possibilities are (nearly) endless!
Domains all have different levels of what magic and technology are available. Sometimes taking spells from high magic domains or technology from futuric domains might not work well in other domains or be negated all together. It’s important to know what works and what doesn’t when entering domains you are not familiar with. Experienced domain explorers will inform you that working with what the domain has to offer rather than bringing in outside resources is the easiest way to make the best of what the domain has to offer.
All domains are watched over by a Celestial (Ascended) who keeps things from getting too crazy and collapsing.
Official Domains are shop-presided over and will probably be where most events that require a domain are run.
User-Submitted domains need to be approved.
Anyone can RP in any domain they choose, including ones that are not approved or shop official. Need a cyberpunk-ish setting? It exists. Need a fantasy world that has dragons? It exists, but you can’t roleplay the dragons as central characters.
