This weekend Kianna set aside some time to search for her biological parents. While she knew she could ask her parents, she didn't want to. She didn't want them to think they were less than. She held the photo she had found of her biological parents. "Together in the darkness and Light. Never apart.- A&L," she repeated as she remembered what she had found in the cave. Her parents' initials. She decided to start her search at the local archives, hoping to find any records or clues about A&L. From there, she planned to visit the town library to look through old newspapers and documents. Kianna felt a mix of excitement and anxiety as she embarked on this journey to uncover her past. She was excited because uncovering her origins could provide a deeper understanding of herself and her heritage. At the same time, she felt anxious about what she might discover, fearing the possibility of uncovering painful truths or rejection. The journey ahead was filled with uncertainty, but Kianna knew it was a path she had to take.

As Kianna stepped into the local archives, the smell of aged paper and ink filled the air. The dim lighting and rows of dusty shelves gave the place an almost mystical feel. She approached the archivist, a kind elderly woman, and explained her quest, hoping that the records would shed light on the mysteries surrounding A&L. The archivist led Kianna to a section of the archives dedicated to birth records and handed her a thick, leather-bound ledger. With trembling hands, Kianna opened the ledger to the year she believed she was born. Her eyes scanned the pages eagerly, and soon she found a record that made her heart skip a beat: a birth certificate with the initials A&L listed as the parents. The names Alexander and Lillian were scribbled in delicate handwriting, along with an address that Kianna decided would be her next destination.

As Kianna prepared to visit the address listed on the birth certificate, her mind raced with countless scenarios. She wondered if Alexander and Lillian still lived there or if she would find new occupants with no knowledge of her past. The possibility of finally meeting her biological parents filled her with both hope and trepidation, and she couldn't help but imagine what they might be like and how they would react to seeing her. Kianna navigated through the winding streets of the town, her heart pounding with every step. The address led her to an old, charming house with ivy creeping up the walls and a weathered wooden door. Taking a deep breath, she walked up the stone pathway, each step echoing the anticipation and fear that swirled within her. Kianna stood before the door, her heart pounding in her chest as a mix of excitement and anxiety surged through her veins. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached out to knock, the weight of her journey pressing down on her shoulders. The moment felt surreal, and she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change forever.

Just as her knuckles were about to make contact, an inexplicable chill ran down her spine, stopping her in her tracks. The air around the house seemed to grow colder, and an oppressive darkness emanated from within, as if the very essence of the negaverse was seeping through the walls. Kianna's hand froze mid-air, her instincts screaming at her to be wary of what lay beyond that door. "This isn't right. It's not only too easy, but at the same time I feel like something is wrong," she said aloud as she held the paper in her hand. She slowly moved her knuckles down from in front of the door. Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from within the house, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps. Kianna's breath hitched as she stepped back, her heart hammering in her chest. She strained to hear more, her curiosity battling with the growing sense of dread that threatened to overwhelm her.

"I need to leave and regroup,"
she said aloud to herself. While she was heartbroken to have come this far and left with almost nothing. She knew in her heart she had to. She knew she needed to gather more information before making another attempt. Kianna decided to visit the local library to research the history of the house and its previous occupants. Additionally, she would reach out to any local historians or longtime residents who might have insights into the mysterious happenings at the address.

After all without more information she couldn't possibly make an informed decision. Her parents had taught her that research could make or break anything. Since without all the data it was guesswork and guesswork could sometimes be the difference between life and death. The fact that she felt like the negaverse was holed up in that house was also another thing entirely. She knew what she felt and she didn't doubt it for a moment, but if her parents were in there. Were they a part of the negaverse or were they the hostages? Either way it was dangerous, not only for her, but what if it was a trap and she hurt her friends in the process? Kianna's fear gripped her like a vice, every nerve in her body screaming for her to flee. Yet, amidst the terror, a fierce determination burned within her. She knew she couldn't abandon her parents, not without uncovering the truth first, and that resolve fueled her next steps despite the danger that lay ahead.

With that resolved she continued to search for anything she could about this house. The house had to be a large part of everything. Since why leave a clue like that if they didn't want to be found? But also why was it her own parents were always hesitated when she asked? Her mother's words were you were ours from the moment you were born. Those words echoed in her head as she searched. Until it hit her, they knew exactly who they were, but maybe they hadn't told her for a reason. With a new found determination, she resolved to uncover the truth.
