It wasn't often that Meinel found herself wanting to actually toy with a civilian while they were in a more aware state. Usually she liked to catch them unawares or lure them in with fake tears. But today she was experimenting, wanting to test her limits so to speak. So when she found this poor redhead in a cast sitting on a bench, clearly he was waiting for her to take his energy. Walking up to her potential victim, hands behind her back, Meinel activated her basic attack once she was within range. “Poor thing, do you need help?”

”Oleander’s Allure”
For her basic attack, Meinel would produce a scent that smells like a nice floral wine once she runs her finger along any exposed skin on her body, which would slowly seep out up to ten feet in a circle from her. Inhaling this scent can cause her opponent to become drawn towards her [with permission], in which they would slowly become dizzy and disoriented. This worsens the closer the person is to Meinel herself. This can last for 20 seconds and can end sooner if the person is able to leave the 10 foot radius. This can be used three times in battle.

Jadyn winced as he stretched his legs out (or tried to). Since his accident, his older sister had been exceedingly overprotective and rarely let him out of her sight. This had, of course, led to several arguments until Marni finally let up and let him go to the park nearest to their house. He hated feeling like a child, but now he was irritated with himself because his leg hurt. He had finally found a bench and plopped down onto it to relax and give himself a break. Crutches sucked. Not too long after he’d sat down, he swore he could smell something floral as a woman walked up to him. “Hi,” he said when she spoke, giving her his signature half smile. She was pretty, and he idly wondered if she had a boyfriend. “Nah, I’m alright, really.” He took a deep breath, inhaling more of her flowery perfume. Damn, maybe she was more than just pretty… “What’s your name?” he asked her, his words slurring together just the tiniest bit.

Meinel smiled, leaning in a bit closer, “Wouldn't you like to know?” She loved her power, it was such a rush to mess with those that became susceptible to it. She moved in, poking her delicate finger to his forehead with the intention to push his head back. Purple orbs already started to form and she was sure the poison would start to take hold in a little bit, but by then, if she was quick, it wouldn't matter much anyway. “Be a dear and try not to make this too hard on me okay? If you're cooperative I don't have to hurt you~” Granted she had no way to hurt the guy but he didn't need to know that.

She continued the drain, keeping close while she waited. If he appeared to become aggressive then she would have to step back and drain from a far, something she was okay with but it would lessen the effects of the scent she was producing. This civi had a cast so it wasn't like there was much he could do to her anyway.

He frowned a bit, reaching up to brush her hand away from his head. “What are you talking about?” The world seemed to tilt as he looked up at her. He shook his head to clear it, not that it helped. Maybe he should text Marni to come get him. Had he done too much? Ugh, he would hate to give Marni a reason to tell him she told him so. He tried to shift his position, sitting up to put his head down, but the movement just made him dizzier and slightly nauseous. “********, what the hell is happening?” he mumbled, his words running together more. His body started feeling heavier, like he was exhausted or maybe he was coming down with something. He should definitely call Marni.

Meinel was almost done here but she wanted him to go to sleep. When he brushed her hand away she pouted, leaning in to press her hand on his chest so she could drain him some more, “Don't worry about it. You should just relax. I saw that you were a bit down and I wanted to help.” Just a bit more and her job was complete. She ran her finger along the back of the hand on his chest to activate her power once more, wanting to make sure he took in all the perfume she had to offer. “You should just sleep. I promise it will help with the dizziness you're feeling right now.”

“Sleep?” Damn, that sounded like a really good idea. But wait, he was still at the park, and this woman had her hand on his chest. Weird. He shook his head again and tried to push her arm off of him but he was so weak. Something was wrong, but he was too disoriented to figure out what it was. His eyes were feeling heavy, too heavy. He wouldn’t be able to stay awake much longer. “Can’t… Can’t sleep here.” He tried to push his hand into his pocket, to pull out his phone. His head was full of that flowery perfume she was wearing, and he knew the second he closed his eyes that he would be out. Something in the back of his mind was screaming that something was wrong, that she shouldn’t be doing this and he should be doing something to stop her. But what?

Meinel rolled her eyes with a huff, “Yes…Sleep.” her hand remained where it was, despite his efforts to dislodge it. When he said he couldn't sleep here she tsked and shook her head, “But you can…It's perfectly safe. I'll watch over you, I promise.” her other hand went to grab onto the hand fishing around in his pocket to stop him from pulling out whatever was in there. Last thing she needed was to be shot at or worse, and while Lorcan was a really good doctor, she didn't need to go worrying her cousin. He had enough on his mind. More energy started to accumulate and as soon as she had enough she would send it to subspace for storing.

Her want for him to just give in was so strong she could feel her hand sinking into the man’s chest, not that she noticed right away. It was when her hand touched something solid and inhuman did she finally look down, holding back a scream the corrupted senshi leaped back, removing her hand from his chest. She had read about that in the Negaverse handbook, but never did she think she would touch her first starseed….

It felt….New.

Something that she wanted to try again, but with more guidance, which meant that she would be asking her cousin to accompany her once more while she put her curiosity to rest.

“Sleep,” he murmured, seconds from passing out. His chest felt weird where her hand was, like it was sinking in. But that wasn’t possible, right? It couldn’t be. Whatever it was, it shouldn’t be happening. It felt like a violation, and with the last vestiges of his strength, he went to push her away but she was already moving. There was something he should be doing to stop her, he knew that, he just didn’t know what. Why was it such a strong feeling? He ended up falling sideways onto the bench, catching sight of her a few feet away from him before his eyes finally closed and his body went limp.

Well, that was eventful.

Meinel pursed her lips, figuring she could at least try to make him comfortable. With a bit of an effort, she maneuvered the young man so that he was sleeping comfortably with no weight on his hurt leg. Poor thing… Wrong place, wrong time really. That civilian had more energy than she was used to which made her suspicious but she supposed there was the occasional civilian or two that had higher reserves than normal. Either way, she met her quota, which meant she could head home and get some rest. She would send a message to Alex tomorrow and see if he would be willing to take some time to teach her how to take a starseed.
