Minyulite actually noticed the aura this time, which was a good sign, but maybe it was bad that it had taken until she was about to bail on the Negaverse before she had figured out basic things like that.

Oh well! She was still happy that she had felt it, and she was extra happy when the knight that she found was that really pretty one from the other day, with long dark hair and the cute pink dress.

"Oh, good!" she said. "Hey! I was hoping to see you again!" She grinned.


"Since you were nice to me, and everything, and I was thinking about how I might forget some stuff when I have to leave."

She had a whole laptop full of pictures for if she forgot her normal life, which would still end up sucking, but she was as prepared as she could. She didn't have that option for nicer people though, so she was going to have to try to get creative.

"I was wondering if I could try to draw you? To show that you're nice, in case I do forget."

No, she didn't know how to draw.

"I have to make it look good?" asked Minnie, putting a hand to her chin as she considered. "I'll try my best, but you might end up coming after me anyway, because I am really bad at art, bro."

She decided it was a risk she was going to take, though, because she really wanted to remember.

"But I'm committed now. Maybe we can do the picture afterwards."

She brought a mini notebook out of subspace and started scribbling. After about a minute, she produced a stick figure with a dress labeled "pink dress," hair labeled "big hair," and what appeared to be a flying octopus labeled "wind sock".

She turned it around with a grin to show to the Squire.

"I think I, uh, what do the artsy people say? Captured your essence?"

“People want to look good,” Minnie agreed. “I work at a gym, that’s one of the most common reasons we get for people coming in.” Even though, personally she’d gotten into exercise as a kid for the fun and endorphins, and stayed with it for the physical benefits and strength, she had to admit that it was pretty nice to look in the mirror and see that she’d gotten more toned.

“You’re a model, though? No wonder you’re so drop dead gorgeous,” she added, taking a minute to look over her appreciatively. “Even if I’m sure there’s more to your existence. Like, I dunno bruh, hitting strangers over the head?” She grinned.

She kept grinning at the reaction to her terrible drawing. “Nah, I’m not trying to be an artist,” she said. “I went to a paint night one time but that’s about the extent of it? This seemed like a good idea at the time, though, and I’m keeping it.”

She sent it off to subspace before the knight could try to destroy it or something.

“Well, how am I supposed to say no to an offer like that?” asked Minnie, grinning right back. Was she a flirt? She couldn’t deny that one. The Squire didn’t seem to be minding it much, though. “Okay. I’m writing it down that you offered,” she said, and then brought her little doodle back out and scribbled at the bottom, wants to go on a date.

“I’m so done with Chaos, though,” she said. “It’s stressful, and then getting out is stressful too.” She sighed.

“But I think I’m getting it figured out, so hopefully you never have to see me looking like this again.” Hopefully whatever she ended up wearing afterwards was nice enough that this girl still thought she was pretty. Then, they could just focus on celebrating.
