Pan had anticipated a mostly leisurely patrol. Go out, harvest some energy, maybe swipe a starseed or two (because it never hurt to look good for the higher ups), maybe even stop off for a gelato at one of the cafes that stayed open later during the summer.
Those plans altered once she felt the presence of someone on the order side of things. Granted, she could have ignored it. But where was the fun in that. Besides, she hadn't had a fight in a while. She'd been good.
She absolutely deserved to let loose and turn some poor little shmuck into paste.
Moments later, she was on the hunt.

Like many of their nights out - which honestly weren't many given the demands of their jobs and general adulting (ugh) - they really hadn't accomplished much. If anything, the power signature of two members of Order maybe acted as a deterrent, but as far as actually getting in to any fights? The two of them had been quite lucky. So, it was with a feeling of ease that the little senshi, Steins, whimsically strolled along beside the absurdly tall page of Cybele before running a few paces ahead and jumping onto a two-foot high brick wall that ran along side the sidewalk and was back at his side with a bright smile on her face as they chatted about all manner of things, not a care in the world. While Steins may have been at ease, Hierapolis, dual attention-span hard at work, had at least picked up the little naggling feel of the Chaos power signature near by. Technically, he had not yet had to fight anyone - brutalizing a Corrupt Senshi the night of his awakening didn't count. That had been a straight up blind rage-induced slaughter. He hadn't even been aware that he'd gained any sort of magical visage when he'd chased her into the woods, random object he'd just happend to pick up along the roadside in hand. The next thing he knew he was dragging the dead body out of the woods by the hair along side him, back to where his vehicle as well as Steins and Cybele awaited him. No one would ever find the body. It was ashes now. While they continued to chat, Hierapolis kept mental not on the approaching power signature. He might have been the lesser-ranked between the two, but it made him no less responsible. And given Steins' nature, at least one of them needed to be.

Pan paused, realizing that it wasn't just one but two auras. Well, that might muddy things a bit. Her magic was worthless from far away and wouldn't fool both. So... all out speed attack? That would be tricky too. If she'd sensed them, surely they'd sensed her and would be ready.
This was the fiasco with that awful little page and Rak all over again, but reversed. And, unlike the page, she was no scared little bunny. So, her options seemed to be either talking and pretending that she was harmless. She gave a mental snort at that.
Or, bulling in and aiming for the first warm body she could. She wasn't a delicate flower by any means, and she knew how to hit hard and fast.
Right. Violent approach it was!
Feeling good about her choices in life, Pan put on a burst of speed. The moment she saw two figures, she pushed herself harder, determined to at least knock the taller of the two down. If she could manage that much, it would give her a moment to breathe and attend to the other.
She could totally do this.

The closer Pan got, the easier it was to pick up the aura, and soon, not even Steins was left unaware. The approach was fast. They both turned around and saw the beserker-like charge. Hierapolis had no magic - yet - but he did have a weapon that, although the prong were blunt, was far from useless. Bluntness didn't mean much when there was greater force behind it. While Hierapolis braced for the charge - and Pan would realize the closer she got that he wasn't just tall, but absurdly tall - it was Steins who was first to move to react offensively. The super senshi was actually a little giddy to use her magic - something she hadn't really done much, save for the early days before she really got in to this whole senshi thing, when she'd use it on any old creep that would stalk her out of the bar. She wasn't entirely sure what it did other than addle people's brains a bit.... Even though Steins was first to act, it was Hierapolis' priority to make sure she didn't get hurt, so before she could cast her magic he angled in front of her, weapon in one hand by his side, and other braced to block impact. Steins was equally a bit put out, but also found it awfully sweet, but it wasn't like there was much time to really process, with the speed at which their opponent was approaching.

Pan was too far into her charge to be able to shift position or adjust. Impact was inevitable and all she could do was shrug mentally, mutter the smallest of, "Ah, ********." and close her eyes as she crashed into the very ******** tall half of the pair. Part of her was already cursing her decision to do this alone. The rest of her was just cursing. Loudly and with impressive creativity. These assholes were not scared and frankly, Pan was offended. And as soon as she could get to her feet she was going to punch them both for not being the easy prey she'd assumed.

Hierapolis had held the charging spitfre at harms length for a moment, a little confused on what to actually do before stepping aside to let them either stumble or fall with their own momentum. there was a dumbfounded look on his face, and he shared a glance with Steins, who stood equally struck. An inexperience with battle, along side their own non-combative nature when not triggered into blind rage, left them a little hesitant in action. Even Steins, who had been ready to use her magic just moments before. Steins even stammered out a, "You okay?" to Pan, peeking out from behind Hierapolis. Cybele would be so disappointed. In both of them.

Staggering to her feet, Pan was frankly in shock that anyone, much less this weird beanpole, had been able to hold her off. It simply shouldn't have been possible. And yet, here they were. Breathing hard, she paced back and forth, watching knight and senshi carefully and radiating malevolence.
Only to freeze and glare at the senshi who dared to ask if she was okay. Were they ******** with her? They had to be. The senshi was the stronger of the two aura-wise. But Beanpole was clearly the stronger when it came to plain brute force. Much as she would have preferred to go at this and just use her fists, magic was going to have to come into play.
"Oh yeah," she spat out, half under her breath, "doin' just ********' dandy."
She'd have to target the knight. Right now, he was only a physical threat. If she could keep him off guard with her magic, she stood a chance of pounding the senshi into the dirt.
Yeah, just keep telling yourself that, she thought. Still it was the best course of action her ego would allow.
"Thirteen O'Clock!" she hissed.
OP-Yuna Sailor Scout Attack: Thirteen O'Clock Effects - Pan is able to use this attack up to 3 times per battle. Each instance lasts for 30 seconds, can affect one target within a 5' radius and creates an illusion/hallucination of ghostly strains of music playing along with brief, confusing flashes of ghostly, masked dancers. Common side effects are confusion, extremely mild dizziness and a general feeling of What the Hell.

"Wooooooooow," Steins rolled her eyes, "Soooooooomeone needs a Snickers." Chaos must have been one hell of a drug - here they were, just walking along, not doing anything and then this Chaos wierdo came at them like a crazy train. Hierapolis might not have derailed that train, but it sure jumped the tracks. Speaking of trains, where was that horn coming from? Wait, that wasn't a train horn, but music. The knight's so-pale-and-thin-as-to-be-nonexistant brow furrowed, and then he thought he saw something out of the corner of his eye and turned his head to look, only to find himself catching a bit of vertigo, stepping uneasily back a few steps... Steins bit her lip sand made an 'oops' kind of expression when Hierapolis took the attack. At least it didn't seem like he was taking it too bad, but now it was her own opportunity to get even - "Patchwork Thoughts!" Stein's magic wasn't showy. In fact, it didn't come with any visuals at all, making it hard for her to determine if it had even had any effect at all until the target started displaying the mental effects, if it had any effect at all. eldritch stardust Basic Attack - Patchwork Thoughts Targets a single enemy. Target's thought process becomes disjointed and randomly patched together. One thought will connect to a completely unrelated thought, leaving the target struggling to focus on what they are trying to accomplish. Lasts for 25 seconds. Can be used twice per battle.

She had followed close on the heels of her magic, aiming a punch at the knight as the magic swirled around. She knew she didn't have a great deal of time and wanted to do as much damage as she could in her limited moments.
She had not expected the other senshi to think as quickly as she had and toss out her own magic. Which Pan would have been willing to pass off as inconsequential had it not been for the way her thoughts seemed to fracture... trying to focus on the senshi led to thinking about the bottle of wine she had at home that led to her thinking that she needed to take her motorcycle in for service, it was making such a weird clanking sound, clanking was such a weird word. Clank. Clank clank clank. Words were weird. Magic was weird too. Magic, she was supposed to be fighting magic. Oh look at the stars! Stars were pretty great, but not the Hollywood kind...
Squeezing her eyes shut, Pan clapped her hands over her ears and folded in on herself, trying hard to cling to her disjointed and rapidly derailing train of thought.

Steins' magic didn't last quite as long as Pan's, so Hierapolis was still regaining himself as it wore off. Even so, being two to one, Pan was lucky that Stein's thoughts went more toward concern - however light, and honestly amused, she seemed to be at his plight - towards her knightly boyfriend, rather than taking advantage of the situation and attacking the other Senshi. Hierapolis had taken a seat on the short brick wall that Steins had be walking on at the start of all this while the music faded and the world stopped spinning. Steins patted him on the head before then..... excitedly rushing toward Pan and launching her greatest attack - her personality. "Oh my goodness - so what is it like!? No one has ever really told me what my attack does!" As she asked with saccharine exuberance, she had grasped the other senshi's hands in her own and now held them clasped together with her own. Her eyes all but sparkled with innocent excitement and her face held a beaming smile. She seemed to bounce on her toes in anticipation. World coming back in to focus, Hierapolis generously assumed this was some tactic on Stein's part (it wasn't) to distract their opponent while he did.....something. But, just like with the kosopods in space, he was hesitant to actually hurt someone.....

As the magic wore off, Pan suddenly found herself confronted by such a cheery exuberance that she found herself wondering if this was some new attack. The shining eyes, the beaming smile and the hands clasping her own were all too much for her increasingly sour mood to take. And with the other senshi so close... "You really wanna know what it's like?" Pan was practically growling as she reared back before shooting forward, intent on delivering a vicious headbutt to the other woman. There was so much she could handle with nary a ruffled feather. But this pair... This pair! It was all too much to deal with.

Stein's smile faltered as she processed what was about to happen, however her less-that-smart reaction was to drop the senshi's hands and brace for impact. Granted there was very little time to even make a well-thought decision to begin with but.... With great height came a long stride, and as soon as Hierapolis' keen eye saw Pan rear back, he launched himself and - well, to tackle her would have been a little too devastating, but the shove wasn't much better. contact was made, but the result not nearly as hard and jarring as it could have been. It still hurt though! "OWW! That really hurt you know!" Steins whined and pouted at Pan, rubbing her forehead with tears of pain at the corners of her eyes. Her other arm clung tightly to the one holding her back. And indeed, he was definitely holding her back, because now the tiny senshi wanted to scrap. "Let me go kick her!" "Allright, ankle-biter," Hierapolis teasingly chastised in his quiet, gritty, whisper of a voice, maintaining his hold with no intent on letting her go. It was the first words he'd said since their conversation prior to the assault. He raised his volume as best he could, which wasn't much, without straining and causing his voice to crack, "That's enough. Between the two of you with your magic, I don't think there's much of a chance of you winning against the two of us...." She could have called in back up, in which case that would definitely change matters, but would that back up even be able to get here in time to help her? He knew some members of Chaos could teleport, so maybe, but he was banking on her being reasonable....which given how she'd come at them so far, was probably asking a lot.....

"Good!" Pan shouted back, wishing the knight had stayed discombobulated just a little longer so she could have made full contact with her headbutt. "I'm sorry it didn't break your nose!" She wanted to say more. Would have said more. If only she hadn't been busy losing her s**t laughing as the other senshi suddenly wanted to go. Based on what she'd already experienced and seen, she was barely sure that in a purely physical fight she'd win. But only in one on one. Against two? She wasn't so sure anymore. Sharply moving her head from side to side to audibly crack her neck, Pan sobered as the knight spoke. His words mirrored her own thoughts and much as she hated it, she couldn't see any way to a clear victory for herself as things stood now. It was galling to lose, but she knew that a single semi-lucky blow did not a win make. The knight was giving her a way out and well as a threat if she continued. With an expression of pure loathing on her face, she threw her hands into the ********. Fine. You win."

With a nod, Hierapolis nudged Steins along the sidewalk, warily side-eyeing their attacker as they parted ways, not dumb enough to trust there not being some sneak attack. Steins resisted a little, still wanting to get even, but going with Hierapolis' better judgement in the end. That didn't mean she wasn't going to pout about it. Or leave without a parting verbal jab, "Have the night you deserve!" Yeah, no way in hell they were telling Cybele about this.

She might have been a murderous b***h, but Pan still held some shreds of honor. Folding her arms over her chest, she watched the two depart. At the senshi's parting jab, she only gave a feral smile and pointed to herself then the senshi. The next time Pan saw her, all bets were ******** off. And as for the night she deserved, well. She still had that bottle of wine at home. And she so deserved a goddamn drink. Once the pair were gone from view, Pan decided that she could leave too. Moments later, there wasn't a sign of anyone in the area.
