He was supposed to be at Lorcan’s for an appointment, to go over things with the doctor, but he’d had to text them that he was staying at work longer to help with something. He’d invited them to drop by, if it was easier for them, and had left it at that. He really had no idea what his co-workers were planning for him…not until they’d brought it up and Ashley who worked the front desk had given him puppy dog eyes as a way of begging, no words were needed from her. He really didn’t see what the reason for this was, they could get anyone else but him. At least Lorcan wouldn’t get upset with him for this, the other understood work and sometimes putting in extra hours, and it was a normal check up with the other to go over his health and check in.
He had piercings, several in fact, but piercing play had never been his thing. He understood it and to each their own, some people had kinks he did not understand and was in no position to question, but he’d stripped his shirt and laid down to let them clean his back while collecting the sterilized needles and jewelry they were planning to use.
They were planning to post on social media, both the shop one plus everyone's individual accounts, pictures of what they had planned for his back. He’d taken a few breaths before he felt the first needle pierce his skin and he just let himself relax and melt into the bed he was laying on. He knew they were planning some photoshoot, he had no idea how they wanted him dressed for it, but he knew they had some sort of plans…their looks at him had said enough.
Closing his eyes as he laid there he ignored them sticking him, it didn’t really bother him all that much. He’d had worse, after all his ears had been pointed without much to handle the pain, so this wasn’t that bad. He just didn’t get pleasure from it like some did, despite the fact his body was no doubt released endorphins and serotonin. He knew this as a fact, he’d done his research a long time ago on such things.
His phone, for now, was laying on his folded up shirt on a chair while he let them pierce him and figure out what they were placing where and now. He had no idea they were planning on taking a picture and blowing it up into some large advertisement to place in the shop as a hung picture for clients to see.
Taking a breath with each piercing, a deep breath in and letting it out slowly, his arms were already up and pillowing his face as he kept himself relaxed and his eyes closed. He wasn’t in pain - it didn’t hurt. Thankfully he didn’t bleed either, and he had no caffeine in his system which helped.

Lorcan had been prepping things in the examination room of his home when he heard the specific ding he’d set up for Kioshi. Everyone in his contact list had a separate tone for both text and call so he would know how quickly he had to get to the phone. It didn’t have him jumping up but he did finish what he was doing then walked back down the hall to pick it up and look at the message. It only bothered him slightly, the fact that his schedule was off now but the fact it was due to the other’s profession had him being a bit lenient. Cleanliness took time and he appreciated that. Looking around, he considered things for a moment and made a decision as he pulled on a light jacket over his outfit. Nobody would ever have a doubt that he was a doctor, from the slacks and button-up to the tie that he’d gotten as a gift from his cousin. The drive itself didn’t take too long so when he did arrive, things were still in progress it seemed. The shop looked clean, inside and out which he appreciated even if this whole thing wasn’t really his cup of tea.
Standing at the front desk, he saw a small gathering of piercers around someone on a table. Leaning over to get a better look, he took note of the gloves and also how the needles looked different than he’d expected. He was a bit transfixed by the process, it was its own bit of procedure it seemed as each piercing was set up and done on the person’s back. Whoever they were was taking it well but he was wondering where Kioshi was until he spotted a bit of that tattoo of theirs as one of the piercers moved and he got a look at their arm.
That was not what he’d expected, not in the slightest. He didn’t want to interrupt anything though so just kept near the front desk while watching. It looked like it could be painful but as he watched and noticed that things weren't being done how he had known other piercings to be done he started to wonder if they weren’t ones that were meant to stick around. How were they planning on managing the healing process in an area they couldn’t reach though? It bothered him and he really couldn’t understand why someone would do that even if it did have an oddly delicate artistry to it.

Feeling as hoops, implant grade surgical stainless steel he knew, was guided into each piercing he finally couldn’t help asking, as he felt the needles coming out as metal was guided in. “What gauge did someone decide to use, it wasn’t small.” He knew that it was not tiny but they never used tiny for piercings. He wasn’t too surprised to hear fourteen gauge, though it was a bit big in his opinion. “Same as my conch…” Letting his eyes slip open he tried to lift his head and get a look at his back - impossible. But they soon had all the hoops in and were having him sit up so they could get the rest done.
“I’m not agreeing to this again - ever.” He stated, casting a narrowed eyed look towards the one who had gotten him to agree - Ashley. She was all too happy to agree because this would be just fine, they just wanted this set of pictures because it would look epic according to her.
Rolling his eyes he let himself stand up, slowly, so he didn’t lose his balance from the rush of it. He knew better, he’d seen people crash from getting up too quick after piercings or even tattoos. “You said you had something you wanted me to try on….” He really was not trusting his coworkers, not one damn bit, but they pointed him right to the bathroom they had attached to this room. This room was used just for play piercing and photoshoots and such, because it had more room and could be set up for photoshoots. While on the way to the bathroom he caught sight of someone he was not expecting but he did not to them once in greeting. This was going to be very awkward, especially depending on what they’d decided he should be wearing.
When he did step out it was in layers of sheer material in a very pale blue, so much damn long fabric it was a nuisance around his hands and he was lucky he didn’t trip on it. Time in his fuku kept him from stepping on the fabric though…the style was similar actually. It was just more…floaty and all sheer fabric - just so many layers. His back was bare, the design having the back shrugged down so when he was told to sit back down they had access to his back where they could thread the thin chains and beads.
“You do know I’m Japanese…not Chinese - wrong culture.” Raising a brow at his co-workers as he spoke. It was brushed off, joked about, and he ignored it as they worked on making his back look pretty so they could pose him like some doll. Apparently his more delicate features, his ears, and such made him perfect for this sort of look.

One of their coworkers waived him over, it was the girl who was usually at the desk if he remembered correctly. He knew a few of their names from passive conversations about work that had come up during checkups and things. Stepping around the counter he walked into the room and kept back a bit, looking over things as they cleaned up and disposed of the needles and packaging appropriately.
He didn’t quite stare when they came out of the bathroom in a different outfit but he found himself a bit surprised at the similarities between what they were wearing now and their uniform. It was sheerer this time and he did find the corner of his mouth turning up a bit as a small laugh came out at their comment about culture. For someone who had given up everything to switch sides, they certainly were adamant on the things they did have ties to. It was something he could appreciate, given his own family history and reason for joining things.
All the chains and beads looked like dewy spiderwebs and he could understand a bit more about all this, even if he still didn’t like the idea of unnecessary open wounds. It also was a bit odd watching them be posed and photographed. It wasn’t something he’d figured they’d put up with but at least the shop seemed to be empty otherwise so maybe they’d been cornered into this by their coworkers. In essence that was how his clinic had an influx of agents trickling in here and there. It started with his cousin and then the tart and now he had all of his cousin’s team, the extended Evans members that were slowly joining up, and then the Sharps with Liam included in that. If anything at this point Kioshi was the only one who had mostly approached the process through proper channels and seemed to respect his schedule and free time.
Thinking on it as he watched them, it clicked a bit what they reminded him of. A fae, that was it, wasn’t it? Ethereal but it felt odd and he wasn’t sure why he was thinking about things like that right now. Coughing slightly to clear his mind and throat, he just watched on as the whole photoshoot happened. He’d ask questions later after this all was dispersed because he knew some of them might take offense to his poking and prodding about the procedure of things and this wasn’t his place to say much. It was someone else’s profession and things were not held to the same standards and steps so he couldn’t really hold the things he knew against them and expect the same answers or results.
Curiosity was something he knew was going on though because it did at least slightly dip into things he knew about and they had mentioned something about actual doctors working on certain modifications. It was one of those things that he both agreed and disagreed on. Having any sort of surgery was best done in a clinical environment but at the same time, he also didn’t approve of unnecessary medical procedures and it was one of those things they both ended up conversing over on patrols.

Situated on pillows and cushions, posing so he looked like some elven doll, or something similar, he did his best to soften his features. He was not much for soft looks but calm was something he could do, it was what he aimed for most of the time in order to keep himself as unstressed as possible. Stress only affected his health in ways most did not suffer; lucky them. Glances over his shoulder, tilts of his head, he knew what they wanted at least…even without them directing him. It was easy to predict and he knew it fit for him.
“You could have gone darker, and at least kept to the usual clothing choices I male. Going gothic and vampire would have been better, I already have bite marks even.” He stared at some point, pointing out the obvious. He had a darker color palette and he tended towards simple and dark with his clothing choices, he had some clothing that was more eye catching but not things he normally wore. Going topless and in low fitted pants would have worked, even throw in a chain belt if needed, turn the stones from water pale blue to red and it would have worked. He had the fangs to match as well as a bite mark. It would have been just as good. But no…they wanted soft. How much more opposite of him could you get?
With his co-worker teasing that they’d do that for round two, another day, he shook his head. “I’d rather take a rusty spork to my eyes than do this again. Nothing against needles but I’ll leave play piercing to those who enjoy it. Dopamine and serotonin don’t do anything for me.” It was why perhaps some people wound up addicted to piercings, and even tattoos, but neither was what helped him so neither served a purpose. “If this released endorphins I might find a liking, it’d help with migraines.” Unlike sex which did release endorphins, not that he partook in that either. He was a soloist if anything…mostly because he didn’t see a point in sex and he wasn’t a people person exactly.
When the photos were done, and they were all off to the computer to plug in the card so they could look things over, pick what they liked, he shifted about and got comfortable as he sat himself there on the cushions. The back of the clothing was made to look like he was shrugging it off, and down his back, but it was just missing and not there…so his back was left bare but it was good - he didn’t need fabric catching on fresh piercings. Leaning forward, mostly ignoring the pull on the piercings due to the chains being stretched, he watched Lorcan for a moment. Silently he got up and walked over, a hand seeking a pocket that wasn’t there - damn it.
“I didn’t think you’d actually come, this isn’t your sort of place.” Clean and sterile as it was, as he needed to be, this wasn’t exactly a proper medical setting either. Shooting a look to his co-workers, an eye twitching as someone made some loud squeal like sound, he found himself narrowing his eyes at them slowly before raising his voice. “If you’re all done with me I’d like someone to remove these. If not I’m fairly certain I can manage myself.” Not really, he doubted he could get his arms and hands to the locations up his back, but they did not need to know that. The tools were all there and it wasn’t like they were difficult to manage, simple clamps really. Everything was all clean and laid out - he could do it. “I’d like to get to my room and grab the arnica I have there.” They weren't doctors, none of them were, so they couldn’t suggest medicines for people to take so arnica was a safe and natural thing which they could, and did often, suggest for swelling which he’d no doubt get. They might not be staying, he wouldn’t need to heal fresh piercings, but he’d still been stuck with needles so swelling and redness were bound to happen. He’d rather handle it before it happened.

At the mention of a vampire-themed shoot, Lorcan pressed a palm to his head and shook it almost. More folklore and things that he’d heard about between conversations and audiobooks. Another of those modifications he’d seen and taken notice of during medical checkups while he’d been building their medical history from scratch. The bite mark was something too and it was odd to see it so defined, almost like a tattoo.
Hearing their comment about something called play piercings and then the mention of endorphins, he felt something odd. It sounded like something his cousin and that tart would know about and it had him cringing a bit. Something he never really understood or got behind as much, doing things that could harm oneself in chase of stuff like that. Risky behaviors for variable rewards it seemed like.
“It’s not but, I can’t say I haven’t been growing the smallest bit curious.” Especially after he’d heard about another doctor near his practice opening up a cosmetic clinic that handled some of the things Kiyoshi had mentioned. He was still conflicted about it but he’d gone to school with the man and wished him as well as he could in the normal way he did. If anything his secretary had done most of the legwork on the pleasantries, something he was perfectly fine with because it meant less time he had to deal with it.
“I don’t think it would be good to take those out yourself.” Narrowing his eyes, it was stupid to try in his opinion and he would have started to rant if the other piercers hadn’t started working on just that. It seemed like it was something that wasn’t out of the realm of possibility for them, something he knew he wouldn’t do for himself even in most situations. First aid was one thing but he knew when it was impossible to be done without a second set of eyes or pair of hands.
Thinking about it, he took a look out of the room and around the shop. He hadn’t ever really seen much of it outside of the photos that were online of the front waiting area or this photoshoot room. Another thing had him cringing and running his hand through his hair in the smallest bit of annoyance. More plant-based medicines… just like his cousin. It made sense here since none of them had licenses or the certifications to provide medical advice but he still had a knee-jerk reaction when it came to things like that. He’d offer something different afterward though, since they were coming in for a medical visit and he would be taking a closer look at those new wounds.
He looked at his watch and then turned back to watch them finish taking all the bits of metal out of the man’s back. It looked angry and red around where some of the larger pieces of jewelry had been, probably from swelling due to the irritation of it all but he wasn’t close enough to really get a good look. “Now if you would kindly let him get changed back, he’s late for an appointment.” It was just a matter-of-fact way he spoke, nothing really showing on his face as he looked down at the time once again. It wasn’t really directed at any specific person in the room but his opinion had to be stated because he did want to get home.

Leaning in, so only Lorcan could hear, he smirked ever so slightly. “Not like I can remove them myself, I’m not that flexible. They don’t need to know that however, let them think I’ll rip them out if it gets them moving just a bit quicker. They wanted this - I conceded. Now I want them out so I can get going.” Because as he’d said play piercing was not his thing, this didn’t so anything for him. He understood it was a kink, a spiritual thing, and so many other things for other people. It wasn’t any of that for himself, even if he might look good posed and photographed. With it serving no purpose he wasn’t going to go wandering about or hanging out like this, unlike some people who did. Some people had all sorts of piercings and just enjoyed it for a while before it all came out, because they were not meant to last.
He knew some of the spots were more irritated, he could almost feel it, the weight of jewelry on fresh piercings really wasn’t a good thing which was why this was so short term. It would hinder healing, if this were a normal piercing which was meant to actually heal, and it would cause irritation and swelling. It would likely even cause rejection of the piercing if something so weighty was used on a new piercing, it wasn’t practical. He’d be facing some of it though, thankfully not too much, as he knew he’d have some swelling and irritation not to mention some leaking from them as they healed. He had felt some blood being cleaned up, as it trickled from more than one of the piercings, but it had been wiped up and cleaned. The one to remove everything had, as he’d taken note of, changed into a fresh pair of black gloves before anything came out and before he was cleaned up.
With bandages applied he was finally being given the green light to head for the bathroom and change back into his normal clothing - which he did with all haste. Not wasting his time in yanking the clothing off he left it in a heap on a chair in the bathroom before going and pulling on his own clothing. The pants were a low fit but held snug to his waist and came down to where just part of his shoes were visible. The shirt was snug and black, long sleeved, it really was simple but it left his neck showing. Boots that laced, and buckled, were worn on his feet. They were well worn, well loved, by the dark haired male who came out of the bathroom with a hand in his front pocket. He’d pulled his hair back up, since they’d wanted it down and tucked behind his ears, and he felt like himself again as he approached Lorcan.
“My car or yours…or both?” Simple question really since they both could teleport so getting home later was no big deal.

They were close, maybe a bit too close for comfort but it was fine for now as they spoke. So a bluff was what it had been but the mention of flexibility had him doubting many could do that anyway. “Alright then.” Leaning back and moving out of the way, he watched and noted everything in the clean-up process.
The bit of blood was worrying, something he would specifically focus on later just to double-check. Now that they were back in something that was recognizable, it was more jarring the difference between now and the photoshoot. Rubbing his temple, he tried to work away that dissonance as they walked over. It made his head hurt a bit, that and just from how busy the week had been. It wasn’t quite a migraine like they got but it was still bothersome and hastened his need to get home.
“Either way, parking is set for multiple vehicles given the clinic.” Not wanting these people to think he was bringing the man to his home, was something that would be horrific if they started getting the wrong idea. It would lead to endless annoyances and probably more bothering from Alexandre and the tart over things if they got wind of it.
Heading back out towards the front desk, he pulled a small sanitizer from his jacket pocket and cleaned his hands off. Habits were hard to break and even if he barely touched anything he felt the need to clean his hands just from being in proximity to open wounds.

“Alright, I’ll take my own car and follow you.” The walk to the front, and the waiting area, was quick and easily made as he took a deep breath. As the sun was dipping down and the sky was turning colors, the dark haired male held the front door open for the other to let him out onto the sidewalk.
“You can tell me at the clinic what you thought of seeing a bit more of my world.” Because his world was drastically different from the others while it followed the most basic rules, because of the nature of their work, but it still had some medical elements to it. Now if the other saw the other parts of his world…the wilder and more hidden parts. That he watched but did not partake, aside from his ears, it was a bit too much for him. But he was certain it would shock the other. That was nothing he’d be letting the other near, it was likely far more than they would ever be up for knowing about. It was a much…tucked away part of his community, at least it felt like it.
His own car was really an suv, something nice and fairly new, he was paying it off slowly but it was his and he was happy with that even if he had to make payments every month. It was his and not given to him but something he was earning.
“Lead the way.” Nodding once as he parted ways from the other to get into his own vehicle.

“Okay.” Following the other out, he got his keys out and unlocked his own car. Nothing fancy other than the fact it had been new with a few added options but it was a Toyota so it was reliable and had two years of pre-planned and scheduled maintenance which he could get behind. Getting into the 4runner he nodded and started off, making sure they were still behind him between red lights and turns through the city.
It wasn’t a long drive, not compared to the one he did out to visit family for holidays but it was a bit more difficult when accounting for someone following along. Once he arrived, he pulled into his garage and left the driveway free for them to park in as he stood inside the open garage.
The sun was fully set now so the streetlights started turning on further down the road as his own outdoor lights ticked and clicked on as the clock hit eight pm. It was quiet after that though other than the sound of the other car pulling in and it was something he enjoyed about this neighborhood. He didn’t need a large home, not like most of the family sought out, he had enough space for his work and a few hobbies that he did from the house. The small makeshift clinic here only really got used because of the few people he’d had to treat because of his cousin or Kiyoshi here. Even if Katya was trying to get him to expand things so she could tinker with larger machines since he forbade her from touching the ones at his private practice.

The drive was fairly quick and straightforward, with not too much traffic to worry about, the only thing he didn’t like dealing with were all the lights they got hit with. All the stop and go. Some of them causing him to jerk and hit his back against his seat, not at all a pleasant experience. He was just hoping he wasn’t bleeding but he figured it was a toss up.
Parking in the others driveway he climbed out and approached the other, who was standing in his garage, as casual as ever with a hand in his pocket and his keys hanging from a back pocket. “So what’s on the agenda tonight, aside from the obvious?” Because he knew the other would be looking over his back.

Shifting to close the garage as the other cleared the entry way he opened the door that led into the lower level of his home. “I had planned on getting a few samples to run some additional baseline tests to compare them to the previous ones. Nothing fasting today but it would be skewed after what happened earlier.” Inflammation and irritation could skew things as well as show a higher cortisol level than would otherwise be standard which didn’t really help considering they seemed to already have a higher level of that for their baseline which he was considering was the main trigger for their migraines.
Heading up the stairs and into the main part of his home where the front door led into everything else, he looked over his shoulder. “Tea? Or anything to drink?” It had become standard at this point, he’d even had to refill the one type that was their go to which hadn’t been an issue when asking his cousin.
“The shop you work at seems to have good practices, even if it seems that one girl was a bit too excited for the opportunity to pincushion you.” Because that really was what it had looked like for a bit while they were getting all the needles through their skin. The rest though, was something he wasn’t sure about and tried to push the image from his mind as he went about his routine of prepping the kettle and pulling out what he needed for his cup of tea. This time he grabbed one of the ones that was recommended for headaches because he still had the mild start of a throbbing migraine behind his left temple. Something he pressed his palm against for a moment as he filled the kettle with water before placing it back on the electronic base and turning it on.

“If I knew you were going to be needing blood, and earlier would have ruined it, I’d have put up more of a fight. It’s not my sort of thing, they know it, but they want to advertise on social media.” And thought he was the best candidate to put up as sacrifice for it, sort to speak. “Tea would be fine, perhaps honey this time…but not much.” Since he didn’t use much for sugar either. Keeping a pace or two behind the other, not wanting to crowd him, Kioshi was used to being in this part of the other's home, as well as the clinic as Lorcan had been working on a health record for him. He did feel bad for giving him such a task, since he had little to offer the other to help.
“If they didn’t have such good practices we’d be reported, fined or shut down, and I wouldn’t work somewhere which lacks in good practice. It’s needed and we all have to pass a blood born pathogens course so we all know standards.” Even if not everyone in the industry followed it, with some being blasted on the internet for it.
“I have a feeling she’ll have pictures on her phone and her computer at home from tonight.” And since it would be up on social media he was certain other people would as well. “At least at work, with co-workers, I’m not some freak to point and whisper about. Some clients, especially younger ones, enjoy pointing and whispering especially when they are with friends.” Or even family, it was amazing to see what parents thought of him.
“Headache?” He questioned the other, alreadying reaching for his keys where he had what looked like a small metal bullet. The top twisted off though and inside he had a few pills for himself. “I don’t know if my medication would do anything but if you need it.” The offer was there, not exactly said but it might as well be.
“I’ve been to bars with my co-workers and even tattoo or piercing conventions and I get looks that are less than innocent. I’d rather my co-worker tonight than people thinking I’m some fetish or a freak…someone looking for attention and they are surprised when I don’t seem to want the attention.” As if he’d spent money, time, and everything else on himself for the sake of wanting other peoples attention and approval - hardly the case. He did it for himself…because it was what he wanted to see in the mirror each morning and evening. He didn’t care what others thought but he did get tired of it and wish they’d keep it to themselves sometimes.
Normally he would respect the others space, it seemed to be something they both understood about the other, but after a moment of consideration Kioshi stepped up behind the other and pressed his hands to either of the others temples and let the cool chill escape his fingertips and gently made circular motions. The skill wasn’t as impressive as it was when powered up but it seemed to still have a use, something he used on himself when he felt his head starting to bother him.

“It’s alright, to be fair it wasn’t something I knew was going on either to give warning of.” It was similar to the questionnaires when people donated blood too. Asking about fresh piercings or tattoos since it effected things and was considered an open wound.
Setting the jar of honey next to the cup he had on the counter for them, he left a spoon on a spoon rest as well. Wincing slightly as the spoon clattered on the ceramic rest, he pressed just a bit more on his temple as they spoke.
“Good good, those classes are important for anyone handling bodily fluids.” Moving a bit more to get things ready as the kettle warmed up the mention of freak had him pausing. “I wouldn’t say freak, then again you are one of those witches but that’s neither there nor there since they wouldn’t know that.” They knew his opinion in part if not the history behind it when it came to magic and senshi. Knights were something he was a bit conflicted over and had avoided them without too much of an issue. Kafka seemed to avoid them as well so it meant overall the only interactions with Order he had were those alien cats and witches.
Blinking slightly he considered things for a moment. “Yes but that medication is yours and not to be used by anyone else. Its dosage is set for you, also more likely just a tension headache.” Migraines weren’t common for him but he got the occasional headache after long nights of pouring over things in the castle or assisting with patrols. It was happening more frequently during the periods of time when his schedule was thrown to the wind by his family but also sometimes after being hit with senshi magic.
“The same could be said considering my family. Luckily I have a brother who ended up marrying so I could continue focusing on my work. Though that was long before I joined chaos. Being the odd one out at gatherings because I preferred the quiet or work, though it is different as well.” Not that he cared much when people told him he was stiff or neglecting things by overworking when in essence he wasn’t really overworking back then like he was now.
Standing there watching the kettle, he felt movement but didn’t really register things until they touched him. Too close but… the cold helped and he sighed in relief slightly. It was magic, but not the same as what he knew they could do while powered up. It was complicated though as he felt them rubbing away the tension in his temples. Normally he was disgusted by people being close or touching him but this was fine and honestly a bit welcome.
Lorcan let it happen for a bit until the kettle clicked, signaling that the water was ready. At that point, he tensed up a bit. “I need to get the kettle.”

“It is but you’re also a doctor and if my medication would help you then I don’t mind. I don’t know, or want to assume, what you keep here for your own use.” So he would offer if he could, if it might help, he knew what headaches were like…that went without say really. He might not remember before his corruption but he was certain he’d dealt with migraines and headaches for years, so he might not remember but his body surely knew and remembered.
“Genetics is one thing, even if people try and breed in or out certain traits in the family it’s still naturally occurring things. It’s not the same as modifying the body as I’ve done. People are bound to stare at people who stand out, whether it be for how good they look or how strange and unusual. Good and bad get attention…unwanted and sometimes wanted. I happen to get more of the unwanted sort.” He knew it would happen, had accepted it, but that didn’t mean he liked it or wanted it - that he’d wanted all the attention so had modified himself. “I prefer my work over people and social things as well, mostly because I don't like the noise or the antics of people once drunk.” Sometimes it was amusing but most of the time it was just…too much - too over the top and immature.
Withdrawing his hands he nodded to himself. “Mm, go turn the kettle off and we’ll have our tea and see what we can salvage of tonight's plans.” His magic stopped, for now at least, he went to add some honey to his own tea cup in preparation of the hot water the other would be adding.
