Piano — His mother got him started on lessons when he was five years old because he always gravitated toward the instrument. Even as a baby, the sound that most often soothed him was whenever someone played something on a piano. Not just classical music, but anything played on a piano had a way of capturing his attention and calming him down. Now, he loves playing and is very passionate about his studies. He enjoys learning new pieces or studying piano music theory, and he’s starting to dabble in composing and improvisation. Don’t ask him who his favorite composer is, though. He says he loves them all, but really he just can’t pick.
Books — He loves getting lost in a good book. Genre doesn’t matter that much to him and he’ll give any of them a try if it sounds interesting enough, though he prefers fiction over nonfiction for the most part. No romance novels though, because his mom said so. He’s not all that interested in the genre to begin with, so he doesn’t mind, but he does know why. He devours books, and has an actual book with him at all times. He has an e-reader for when they go traveling because it’s more convenient, but he prefers the real thing.
Crafting — Specifically, he loves book nooks because he loves decorating his book shelves with them. He also enjoys 3D puzzles, and even legos to a slightly lesser extent, and is starting to dabble a little bit into other types of miniature kits as well. He likes the building aspect of the activity, and can very easily get lost in a project for hours. Usually it takes a lot of convincing to get him to leave if he’s in the middle of one.
