Probably looked it, too, but Captain Carminite was out fulfilling the assignment his General had given him two years back. Progress with it was slow but steady. It took some time to find the right rhythm of alternating between draining and pulling a starseed. He found the answers to who, when, where, and what over months so bodies weren't piling up behind him too fast. Can't have the cops working too hard to find him, after all.
It was a lot of work at first, but now it was basically routine.
Tonight was just for draining, and with this last donor he met his quota for the evening. After dropping the unconscious body off in an alley dumpster, he debated going home when he felt an Order aura nearby.
He clicked his tongue.
“Nearly made it, too,” he murmured before teleporting toward it.

Niflhel stopped, he'd been walking through the park when he felt a signature. It was far off then disappeared, he stopped and waited to see where it'd pop up.
"Oh boy, I got a bad feeling" He murrmurred. As he waited. The energy signature had to at least be a captain. He had his chain in his hand ready in case he needed to use it. Anyone that disappeared and turned back up somewhere else, usually wasn't interested in talking first.
The captain ported several feet away from what he could now see was a knight. Stronger than him, clearly, but he didn’t mind. If nothing else he’d get a good fight out of the experience. He didn’t often run into anyone stronger than him these days. He doubted they’d gotten any quieter or more agreeable toward the Negaverse, more likely he’d just been lucky up to now.
He noted with a smirk that he seemed to have his weapon handy as well, and he took a moment to size the other up. Not that he had it in him to run off just even if a potential opponent looked stronger than him, but it did have an effect on how he went about a fight. "Evening," he finally said, and that was about all the warning the knight would get.
Carminite teleported closer. Much closer, and when he reappeared he was crouched down, aiming a punch right for the knight’s gut.

Niflhel had his eyes closed waiting, feeling for the energy signature. He felt the blip reappear, heard the good evening and as he half turned it disappeared again; only to appear and punch him in the stomach.
The knight jumped back and wrinkled his nose. "I see your kind hasn't changed. Brash as ever."
He stated as he moved back to the shadows of a nearby tree and used his aspect to try and look at least more intimidating. "So would you like to play a game then?" Niflhel asked moving from one shadow to the other. He threw out his chain aiming for the Negaverse agent.
Quote:
Aspect of Saturn
As servants of the planet of death, the ghost-like demeanor of Saturn Knights is incredibly fitting. They always appear somewhat cast in shadow and their movements are completely silent, making them masters of stealth.
Carminite sneered as the knight moved away and, to his surprise, very effectively disappeared as soon as he stepped into the shadows. He didn’t know enough about knights so that was rather…unexpected, but he could still follow his energy signature. He tried not to let the surprise show on his face, not wanting to boost his confidence in any way.
Not being able to see his opponent, though, put him at a stark disadvantage, so he summoned his weapon, the blood red crystal blade that materialized on his left bracer gleaming sinister in the moonlight, and stood in a defensive stance. He was trying to follow the signature. He was never sure, so he was rooted in his spot, unable to do much until the knight gave his position away.
"I'm always up for a good game," he said, looking around slowly, carefully.
He smirked when the chain came at him. Without thinking too hard, he dodged most of it, letting it take hold of just his free arm. As soon as he felt he had a decent grip on it, he pulled. He just needed a solid target, and with any luck there would be one at the end of this chain.

Niflhel was pleased with himself that his aspect worked the way he'd hoped for. He wasn't even really sure how well it could've worked so this was a good thing to learn and it caused his opponent to be still.
Which was far more acceptable than just constantly getting surprised himself because the negaverse could use ******** portals. "Good!" He replied even when the negaverse agent let the chain hit his arm. The knight was watching the bracers with the red crystal blade. He didn't like the look of those.
But he allowed himself to be pulled out of the shadow some. Concerned he was going to get sliced by that crystal. So he did his best to dart off and behind his opposition to get the chain to wrap. He wanted to wrap it around Carminite in order to keep the other from teleporting and hopefully restrict the other's movements. Trying to focus on his weapon to keep it latched and binding.
**** Side Note: Niflhel's magic/weapon is the old version
♱ Knight Weapon - Thin chain, this can magically bind/redirect the target, however they won't latch if the target is out of range (more than 10 feet). This takes a lot of Niflhel's concentration for the shackles not to break, if he loses concentration they release the target. Also if the shackles are held too long (around 1 minute) or Niflhel gets tired they are easy to break free of. This attack slows/hinders most movement, Niflhel could also try to move/throw someone. However, this actually depends on how he's progressed since being a knight. It could be possible for Nifhel to move/displace/throw others around, this depends heavily on their current power stage as well as a few other factors (since Azzo isn't a weight lifter he might find throwing a big foot youma weighing 300 lbs a bit hard... this works best with anyone under Nifhel's current level). Throwing people/youma the chains unlatched as soon as they're thrown most of the time letting go when the mass is in mid-air.
Despite the disadvantage, Carminite couldn’t help the smile on his face. He was hoping he could pull the Knight further out of the shadows and closer to him, but clearly that did him more harm than good. Noting where he was moving, though, the Captain had a feeling the next step was to wrap him up, mummy style, which…wasn’t good.
Curling his lip at the idea of being tied up and helpless, he tried to move in the same direction, hoping to keep him from successfully making a full circle around him. He was moving much slower than he expected, though, and he wondered if that had anything to do with the chain…and he cursed again. He had to think fast, so he did what seemed to be the easiest thing to do and pulled on the chain again while he moved, hoping it might do something. Anything, as long as it kept the Knight from successfully tying him up.
He needed a chance to slip from the chain so he could move about unhindered again.

Even if Niflhel could only get the captain wound up once or twice, he'd settle for that. When the knight was satisfied, he was channeling his magic now, So this might end sooner than he wanted as far as holding the negaverse agent hostage.
The knight tugged at the chain, hoping to pull Carminite off balance, pulling himself from the shadows so that the nega could see. "The game's called, how far can the negaverse agent go." He said with a smirk.
He wasn't sure how well this would work but it was worth the attempt to gank the agent and toss them as far as he could.
It didn’t seem to be his night, though Carminite didn’t find that at all upsetting. It was always satisfying to come up against a good opponent, as far as he was concerned. Even if he was slower, though, he did everything he could to stop himself from going off-balance when the knight tugged.
He was marginally successful, but he felt the strain in his legs.
“Wouldn’t really make a difference,” he said, brows furrowed as he tried to break free to no avail. It would probably serve him better to conserve his energy, but he had just a little bit of pride left in that he wanted to at least keep up appearances that he hadn’t given up just yet. Besides, he always had teleportation in his back pocket if he really needed it.
“Love to see you try, though.”

That was all the invention he needed, the knight grinned "Alright, thanks for giving me permission!"
He tugged as hard as he could to send the negaverse agent flying, "I call this the nega agent shot put."
Even if he couldn't send the agent flying far, it'd be enough to buy him a few moments to regroup. Plus, he couldn't hold the chain for much longer if he didn't do this.
The Captain was not much for gymnastics, so when he got flung off some distance from the Knight and wound up upside-down in the process, he made his displeasure known by a slew of swear words that could probably be heard from a mile off. It was no small feat to throw someone his size, but he chalked it up to the difference in their ranks.
Carminite willed himself to focus and managed to flip right-side up again before he landed on the ground, and as soon as he was properly oriented again he teleported himself just behind the Knight.
“Not bad,” he said with a grin, then aimed a swing right into his side.

I had to adjust niflhel's color for the dark mode
Niflhel watched the captain and when he landed, he noticed the other teleported. This was going to be a match he didn't care for. "Ugh y'all and your portals."
He muttered getting hit right in the side and loosing his air. When he caught his breath he tried to snatch his chain in the direction that the swing came from trying to use it as if it was a whip to smack the captain.
"Not bad yourself." He added. Tying to turn himself so he could see the captain, if he couldn't he'd have to some how use the chain as a shield.
The knight’s reactions were certainly faster than he would have liked, but Carminite was relishing the fight, even as the chain came at him and smacked him on the side of his face. The pain registered but he grimaced through it, maneuvering himself a bit so it was maybe a little harder to hit with the chain and aiming a one-two combination at the knight’s side to try and knock some more wind out of him, maybe get him on the ground if he could hit him hard enough.
He had no intention of backing down, and was actually having fun while out on duty for once.

Niflhel hadn't expected the fight to last as long as it had, he felt like he might've had a cracked rib, some how pulled or injured something in one leg and his sleeves on his jacket had ripped by this point.
He held out his hand and threw out a T for a time out because Carminite didn't look much better. "Oi, lets call it a draw." He was out of magic also for his chain but he could just spin it around in front of him making it more of a shield or harder for the other to get to him but that was about it at this point.
He did have some fun though, even though this one was just a captain. He grinned, "We can face off again if you want, when you hit General see which one of us is better when we're on equal ground."
Niflhel was also left feeling as if his weapon was missing something . . . he wasn't really sure what. So he needed to do some research on his wonder . . .
Cracked ribs, while easily explained as an injury he got while on a job, were never fun. Carminite was fairly sure he'd cracked at least one during this particular fight, probably more–that chain was no joke in the hands of this Saturn Knight. He was bleeding from various cuts and scrapes, and he knew he would look worse tomorrow when the bruises started showing, so when Niflhel raised a “T” for time-out he gave a nod and lowered his fists.
That was more than he had expected to get into tonight, though it had been a fun fight all things considered.
“Works for me,” he said with a little huff. “I don’t intend to lose when time comes for that rematch.”
At that he gave the other a smirk–it was the friendliest he could muster for anyone on the other side of the fence–and teleported back to the Dark Kingdom’s medical bay in the hopes of getting a bit of treatment before heading home.
