Uniform:Have discussed this with artists/gotten the design approved by GMs!
Sailor Scout Attack: Venomous Bite
Valeska targets every enemy within a ten foot radius. Two ethereal, translucent snakes spiral up from the ground to twist around their legs up to about their knees. The snakes will then bite down as hard as they can and it will appear as though they can pierce flesh and armor. The target will feel the sensation of a sharp bite and will immediately begin to feel as though venom is coursing through their veins. They may feel stinging and sensitivity around the bite, their muscles may burn, spasm, or feel weak. The targets may feel suddenly flushed or dizzy, have difficulties seeing or breathing, may have a rapid heart rate and feel faint. The snakes will cling to them and may feel like a weight against their legs but with some effort, the targets can move away. If a target moves, the snakes will turn into wispy smoke and disappear immediately, but the effects of the venom remain for the duration of the magic. Players can choose how the venomous bite manifests for their character; they do not need to feel all of the potential symptoms, however players can choose to take more extreme or lasting damage if they desire. The magic lasts for 25 seconds and can be used 3 times.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Venomous Hold
Valeska targets every enemy within a fifteen foot radius. Two ethereal, translucent snakes spiral up from the ground to twist around their legs up to about their thighs. The target will feel the sensation of a sharp bite and will immediately begin to feel as though venom is coursing through their veins. They may feel stinging and sensitivity around the bite, their muscles may burn, spasm, or feel weak. The targets may feel suddenly feverish, dizzy, or nauseous, have difficulties seeing or breathing, or may have a rapid heart rate and feel faint. In extreme cases, targets may have very poor muscle coordination, or may have convulsions. The snakes will cling to them and it may give the sensation of lower body paralysis or as if they are being held in place, but this is only a trick of the mind and with some effort, the targets can move away. Deep Space Senshi Physical Features: Retractable Fangs; if his teeth fall out, they will regrow within a week or so but the nerves in his fangs are so sensitive, he cannot use them in battle. He used to produce venom but because of his poor health over the years he’s lost this ability. His body still occasionally produces venom but it is erratic and uncontrollable; iIf he breaks any teeth, he risks poisoning himself.
If he bites someone in battle, it will do only as much damage as a human can do, and they cannot be poisoned. He has a great sense of smell but can be overwhelmed by strong aromas. It does not give him any advantage and he cannot use it for tracking enemies. He has pointed ears, a pointed tongue, and slitted pupils.
Backstory/History:
Valeska was once a warm, thriving world. It was not without its dangers, but they were manageable. The people were invested in science and the arts, and for the most part the world was at peace.
The Senshi held a ceremonial and practical role in the world, so as Sailor Valeska, Velek was used to traveling. He did not often leave his world and instead spent most of his time ensuring that his world was in tune with itself and each other. He held a diplomatic role and while involved fulfilled his role passionately. Valeska was a planet ruled by tradition, and superstition, so regardless of how needed the Senshi was for the usual day to day operations, they were still wanted and welcomed.
Valeska was a healthy world, until it wasn’t. The season changed as per usual, but fall and winter grew a week longer each year, stealing away the spring and summer. At first, it was inconvenient. As the seasons cycled, crops had less time to grow and eventually had to be harvested before they were ripe. The chill brought about fatigue and sickness, which spread rapidly. The population dwindled.
Velek was at a loss; despite all tradition and belief, he could not correct the state of the world. Every year grew worse, until summer disappeared altogether, and spring afterwards. The warmest part of the year was a chilly autumn, where the skies stayed covered in dark clouds and a dim orange. The winter was cold, and snow could fall for days on end. And then, there was no difference between the two. The planet couldn’t make up its mind. It was too cold for anything to grow. It rained–endless, black rain, acidic enough to pollute the ground.
What survived went underground but it was a temporary solution to a permanent problem.
Velek survived, immune to the worst of the acidic rain. Toxic to most, he was spared the worst of its effects, though even he was not immune to the sickness it brought. Underground, he bided his time. He researched. He slept, sometimes for months at a time. He had little energy but did what he could, even as the food supply ran short. He made trips to the surface when he could, always looking for a rare break in the weather to fortify himself.
The clouds on Valeska almost never cleared, so he knew it was an anomaly when he could see the sky beyond them. It was never truly day or night on Valeska, but it was always dark. And yet, through the parting clouds, he saw a light. He heard its call.
He followed.
