Another night, another Knight, and Targovishte headed towards the aura with a big smile on her face. “Hello there! I’m Targovishte!” She wasn’t completely sure what kind of a Knight this was, but she knew that she was one, and she was lovely. All female Knights were lovely it seemed.
“What are you up to tonight? Just chilling?” She leaned against a tree and grinned. “I’m glad that all of that Star Festival stuff is over…I mean it was great but…the city goes so hard.”
And honestly? Sometimes it was exhausting. Trying to keep up. Trying to out city the city…but.
“Tell me, what do you like to do for fun? Are you more of a Space kind of gal or a fighting kind of gal?” Summoning her staff, she held it out, the grin growing. “Because if you’re any kind of fighting kind of gal…want to go at it for a second or two? I haven’t had a good spar in…ages.”

“If I’m being honest, I’m not really much of either. Though, if I had to pick, I suppose I’d be more of a space kind of Knight since I prefer my Wonder of here.” Less noise, no pollution, just a serenity that wasn’t really readily available here in Destiny City. She laughed humorously to herself and raised her lantern up so it was level with her eyes. “I’ve been doing this for nearly eight years now but only earned my magic sometime last year and have only used it once.” Might have had more opportunities to practice with it if she’d answered the call to other senshi homeworlds or knight wonders. She’d felt the calling to a few of them but turned a blind eye for reasons she didn’t feel inclined to explain. “I’m sorry, where are my manners?” The Squire of Cosmos rose to her feet and extended a hand out to her companion for the evening. “My name is Einhornhöhle; and you are?”

Targovishte grinned and took hold of Einhornöhle’s hand, giving it a firm shake. “Are you any good with your chain there? Do you use it as a whip at all? My friend has something kind of like that, and he’s skilled with it. How do you work on defending yourself? She held her staff out and wiggled it, the…much more cohesive windsock dancing as she did so and shrugged. “Honestly, you might get better with it if you hold it by the cage, it’s easier to control by holding the heavy side…shall we duel? Sword verses whip! This…it was hard to stick to rigid training, and that was one of the reasons she enjoyed hanging out with Belmont so much. He was never one to be rigid. The grin on Targovishte’s face showed that she too, was no longer going to be rigid.
“I’m Targovishte, Squire of Jupiter!”

“It’s nice to meet you Targovishte.” Einhornhöhle released her hand and took a step back to then look down at her weapon and how she was holding it. “I never really thought to use it like a whip.”“Normally when I power up it is because I’m about to go to my Wonder for a day or two, I don’t usually make it a point to patrol Destiny City.” Today was no exception, she was no vigilante looking to fight off evil Captains or Generals. Even in group fights like the battle with the Vanguard that corrupted a number of White Moon Senshi or Knights, Einhornhöhle had proven inept at the whole fighting thing. “If you want to practice maybe dodging or stopping it I could perhaps just swing it around for you to avoid or block.” She really didn’t want to run away from a sword right now but she could help the Jupiter Squire train if it would help her.

“Swing it at me. Try it out like a whip. Try what you want! I’d love some practice in blocking, especially when you don’t know how to really use your weapon…it’ll be a good exercise in creativity for the both of us, don’t you think?”
Targovishte thought for a moment and yanked off the windsock portion of her staff and let it fall to the ground, something she hadn’t done since she had become a Squire. It was easier to manage now, but still…
It was a bit much, and right now…she wanted the big stick, rather than the fabric that made it a better distraction.
“Come at me, Einhornhöhle! I’m ready for you when you’re ready to give it a try!”

Still feeling a little uneasy, Einhornhöhle kind of turned her weapon around, if you could call it that. Her lantern was held in her non-dominant hand while the end with the purple gem-like flower was held in her dominant hand. She gave it about maybe a foot and a half of length and began spinning it in a clockwise circle. “Please just don’t hit me too hard if you do swing at me.” Last thing Einhornhöhle wanted was to go home tonight with new bruises. No doubt Harvey would think that Cameron had done something to her at work in retaliation for what happened at the Star Festival. No need to make him worry like that. As the momentum increased with the spin, she loosened her grip and allowed the momentum to carry the weighted end toward Targovishte

“There you go!” Targovishte grinned and swung her staff at the chain, surprised when she managed to hit the lantern with some accuracy. It wasn’t good. She had never been one for baseball, but it wasn’t bad either…even if the cool, tactical move of getting the chain caught around her staff and pulling it from the Squire’s hands…clearly wasn’t going to happen.
Maybe some sparring practice with Belmont would make it so, but right now…she was happy with at least knocking it back.
“It must feel super awkward…I hope that the chain balances itself out when you get stronger! I’m anxious to see what I end up with…I’m really hoping not another windsock…But this one is loads better than the last, let me tell you! Plus the owl is super cute.”
She liked it, but that didn’t stop her from trampling on it as she moved out of the way, waiting for another strike.

Einhornhöhle grimaced when Targovishte struck her lantern. Although she knew she could simply dismiss it and make it reappear as good as new if it broke, she couldn’t help but worry. The chain, while not as fragile as a necklace, wasn’t strong enough to support the weight of a playground tire swing either. “I honestly wouldn’t mind if it stayed like this. Maybe a stronger chain but definitely not something clunky or thicker.” The length of it suited her well enough. Gathering the chain back up, this time Einhornhöhle swung the jeweled flowered end above her head almost like a lasoo but not because there was no loop. This time she swung at a downward angle for the Squire to try dodging or maybe parry.

“Oh s**t! You’re spicy!” Targovishte laughed and took a step backwards, stumbling over a rock and laughing as she tried to catch herself. “A stronger chain would be absolutely wicked. I hope that’s what happens…I know that we have no say in what we get but…wouldn’t that be epic if we did?”
She gave a sigh and shifted her foot, this time hitting another rock and giving a little yelp as she fell backwards. “Keep practicing with your whip girl. You could be fierce.”
Carefully, she got herself up and kicked away at the rocks that had caused her to fall and then just shook her head. “We should hang out again? I’d love to go up and see your Wonder? If you’re in the mood for friends?”

“Yeah, that’s fine. My wonder’s actually quite nice.” Most of the time anyway. The darkness in the caves when she visited with Sava was unusual and as long as they stuck to the field or beach everything should remain relatively safe. “The temperature there is fairly mild, more like late spring or early fall.” “I think you’d enjoy it,” The few people she had allowed to visit had returned a few times now.

“That sounds amazing! When I get my place a little more under control I’d love to have you up there too! But…it needs work. And I need to actually…go there and do the work which…”
She shrugged and gave a laugh, shaking her head after a moment. “Is much easier said than done. But! I’ll do my best, that’s all we can do!”
Targovishte gave a little grin. “Hope to see you again soon, I’ll write, and I hope you do too! Stay safe out there, won’t you?” With a small wave, she headed out back towards home. She hoped that there would be someone else to spar with, but wasn’t really counting on it…
It had been fun though!
