She'd heard about them first from customers at Lavender Haze, who all seemed curious as to whether she';d seen them, and now she'd managed to find a little patch in a slightly disused corner of a city park. With all the sprawling green space in Destiny City, it wasn't exactly surprising to discover that there were roads less traveled by, and while sometimes following those roads led one to....well, a less than positive experience, other times, it meant finding something new and exciting and unique. Something worth sitting with and spending time on. A little slice of extra magic in a place that most people probably considered perfectly ordinary and mundane.
But Sonora...felt like the concept of mundanity was simply a refusal to see the wonder in everyday life. And that made moments like these, where there really was something quite special afoot, feel even better. It felt like proof that her approach was the right one; proof that the universe was more than a series of random coincidences and boring, scientific explanations. Like there was more there, even in the everyday world that wasn't touched by direct, explicit magic of the Senshi or Knight variety.
Like she could sit here all night, and just...enjoy knowing that there were such wonderful things in the world.
She settled down, a little ways away from the cluster of flowers, and as she sat there, her little wisp appeared to bump itself against her cheek. A friendly greeting from the little friend that had so far accompanied her through her entire journey.
She had a moment of quiet, just her and her wisp and the night, and then the breeze picked up, and blew over the flowers.
And it seemed that the rumors were quite true.
A laugh of delight escaped Sonora's lips, as she watched the firework flowers explode into brilliant colors, lighting up the little clearing around her and painting it in all sorts of fantastical shades.
It was wonderful. Magical. Exactly what she'd hoped to see when she realized what she'd found.
What a lucky, lovely thing. What a special little miracle.
Sonora was so, so glad she'd gotten to witness it.
