Spring and Fall were the perfect horse riding weather, in her humble opinion. Summer and Winter were way, way too extreme to be doing damn near anything, let alone riding horses. Of course, it was her passion, so she still did it, because the horses needed their exercise and all that, and she loved her horse to bits (pun intended), but that didn't meant she didn't resent every second of it when it was too ******** hot out. At least nighttime was cooler, and she'd gotten some fruit from a very popular stand. Naturally as a lady of Instagram, she'd heard all about this "star pox" fruit and couldn't wait to try some herself. Buuut... She'd gotten a little overeager and bought definitely way too many. They'd probably go bad before she could eat them all, and she still wasn't sure if she'd even like them or not, so she decided to keep an eye out for someone she knew to share them with. After sensing an relatively unfamiliar, but definitely Dark Mirror senshi aura, she beelined for it. Maybe they could collect energy together while monching on some nice fruits! "Heya," she said brightly as she approached. "Want some company on this fine night?"

Tonight, Asuka was not near any weird woods, strange construction sites, or generally creepy places. She was swearing off that for...well, at least for a little while, because she couldn't swear it off for too long given her YouTube career. The point was: not tonight. Probably not tomorrow either. This was a beautiful summer evening, she was powered up as a horror-terror murder-ghost Senshi, and that was exactly the amount of scary that was allowed to happen to her this evening. An amount that was 100% in her control and 100% possible for her to opt out of without having to pass out in a creepy forest or nearly snap off an evil tree's branch-arm to save her friend from the other side of the war.
Very normal magical girl things to want to totally avoid.
She'd planned to spend the evening alone, but it was never an imposition to have a friend show up--at least, she never felt like ti was one. Whether that was an actual existing friend or one she was just making tonight.
So, when the other Dark Mirror approached, offering her one of those neat fruits Asuka had seen online but hadn't made time to try, she lit up.
"Ohh, these are those fruits that give people that weird skin reaction, right? With the star freckles?" She asked, and took one, delightedly taking a bite. "This must be the only time I have ever hoped I have an allergy. Hi, I'm Asuka, nice to meet you and you are way too kind to share with me. Thank you so much, I kept meaning to make time to go get one but there's been a lot going on this summer and--anyway. Thanks."
Ugh, she really needed to be better at minding her words when she was Asuka. She was so good at it as Reiko, but the confidence she felt as a Senshi also translated into the confidence to run her mouth, a lot. Hopefully this new Dark Mirror wasn't the type to mind a little extra chitchat.

Aww. She was super cute. Oh. Oh, no, she was cute in the way that made Belenos blush and her knees go all weak. Oh man, oh no, oh gosh. She was about to be real stupid all over everything, wasn't she? She licked her lips and gave a grin, trying to remain some semblance of normal and not some kind of outrageous, disaster homosexual. Get it together, you useless Tiffany, she scolded herself with an ancient tumblr meme from probably before even 2012. "I know, right?" she agreed. "I don't have any food allergies, so I'm really hoping I won't be disappointed by this one! But I'm kinda prepared for it, you know? Since I got nothin' else going on. Peanuts don't even make me the least bit wary." ... Yeah, that was disaster homosexual behavior, wasn't it? Damn it. She sat down on the nearby bench and took a bite from the fruit, idly sending out a mirror wraith to go to its job collecting energy while she chewed. "It's not too kind! Just what a fellow senshi should do for a Dark Mirror sis," she said with a wink. "I'm Bélénos by the way. Wanna talk about your summer? Mine's just been hot. Hot, boring, and smelly—but, y'know, horses in general are just kinda smelly, hah. I work with 'em, you see. Outside of these beautiful outfits." She grinned. "Oh, and look at you! You're getting the freckles!! Yay!"

Oh, good, this other girl was also super chatty, that was really, really helpful. At least Asuka didn't feel like a total idiot, running her mouth just to fill space. She could take a few more bites of the--honestly, very tasty--fruit and nod along as Belenos--what a pretty name!--chattered away.
"Well, it is super nice to meet you, Belenos, and hopefully we both get lucky and have this very specific and very weird allergy." She laughed, because honestly, considering it didn't seem to do harm, it felt like a joke. Just a little splash of joy in what had otherwise been a pretty rough summer.
"Ugh, though, I have had the worst time. Do not go into the woods, I found a creepy path that went to nowhere and then I had to rescue a friend from being attacked by evil trees. Super cursed, bad vibes, I am one hundred percent staying out of the trees for the forseeable future." She huffed. "Working with horses sounds fun, though. I just make YouTube videos, so I am very much an indoor person."
Her face lit up, though, when Belenos mentioned that she was developing freckles, and she leaned in to look and-- "Hey! So are you! I guess these do work the way people say!"

Belenos grinned, enjoying the back and forth chatter with this Asuka girl. She seemed pretty cool. Oh, man, she had it bad. Then again, she got it down bad for pretty much every pretty girl she ever met. "YouTube videos seem fun to make! I like watching that sort of thing, too, and reading. I'm like an indoor/outdoor cat that way. Or something," she said with a laugh. At the news, she looked at her own arms and squealed. "Aw man! We look so cool!! We should get in our civvies and take some photos for the gram, or something, if you're okay with that?" she asked, looking around. Her mirrorwraith came back, fat with energy, and she scooped him back into the mirrorshard.

Asuka nodded, eagerly. "That sounds awesome, power down and take some cute pictures with our cute freckles." She laughed, delightedly.
