The Lantern Festival (7) : Scientists have been hard at work trying to understand the strange, glowing qualities of the luminescent caterpillars found in the caves by the reservoir. The caterpillars still shrivel up if they are taken out of the caves but their glowing secretions have been processed into an organic paste that can withstand the outside world. The city is selling paper lanterns infused with various seeds. The glow paste is full of minerals to support healthy plant growth without risking damage to the environment; all lantern purchases come with a small packet of activating power that will heat the paste up enough to mimic the effects of a candle without the concerns of flammability. When the glow paste loses its heat, the lantern will return to the Earth and upon the first rain (or any contact with water) the paper will dissolve and the seeds may begin to grow. All proceeds from the lanterns are put right back into the community to support local conservation and environmental protection efforts.

Saskia stumbled upon the stall with lanterns while exploring the Star Festival. Intrigued by the unique concept, she was drawn to the vibrant display of glowing lanterns infused with seeds. Curiosity piqued, Saskia decided to purchase one, knowing that her contribution would directly support local conservation and environmental protection efforts. Not only that, she loved supporting good efforts like that. She knew she could even show her watchers on her livestream and maybe they would be willing to support the cause too. So she quickly turned around and grabbed a few more. Since it could never hurt her gaming stream if maybe she took a detour and lit some lanterns. Plus she could help raise some more money for the cause.

Saskia quickly took her lanterns and headed to the river near by. She was quick to find a secluded spot and set up her camera to stream the lantern lighting ceremony she was going to participate in. She carefully placed the lanterns on the river bank, added the activating powder, and as they lit up, Saskia felt a sense of accomplishment. "Thank you all for joining me in this great experience! Remember to show your support. Each lantern sends support to our community's local conservation and environmental protection efforts! How wonderful right?" she said with a smile. She turned towards the lanterns and watched as the glow paste was beginning to lose its heat. The lanterns began to return to the Earth and one by one landed in the river. Upon contact the paper began to dissolve and the seeds inside it began to grow. It was an amazing sight. One she was so happy she could share with her followers. Saskia's followers were captivated by the live stream of the lantern lighting ceremony. Many of them expressed their awe and admiration for the unique concept and the positive impact it had on the local community. Some even pledged to purchase their own lanterns to support the cause, inspired by Saskia's enthusiasm and dedication to environmental conservation.

She thanked her viewers for their support and encouragement before ending her stream and heading back to the festival. Saskia was thrilled to see the success of the event and to know that her message had resonated with so many people. She was overwhelmed by the positive response she received from the community. She was confident that her initiative would be a success and she looked forward to continuing her mission.

All of the sudden she felt her foot trip over something on her walk back to the festival. She quickly bent down and noticed what looked like a star but maybe it was a charm like the ones she kept on her backpack. She smiled and placed the object in her bag. Maybe she could inspect it more after the festival, but for now she wanted to get back and find some boba. Strawberry boba was suddenly on her mind after seeing the red charm and she was determined to find some. Since after all a festival without boba wasn't much of a festival at all. With a laugh she zipped up her bag and headed off on a new mission.
