Firework Flowers (13) : A rare and unique breed of flowers that blossom into long, stiff-stamened, spherical orbs like those of the blossoming Powder-Puff flowers are on full display in Destiny City. A unique hybrid of several species, these plants were being engineered at a small landscaping company. While they were only meant to exist in their private greenhouse as they continued development, a simple accident resulted in thousands of seeds spreading across Destiny City. Thankfully, the Firework Flower is a beautiful, albeit temporary addition. The stems grow rapidly and look like tall blades of grass until the week before the flower blooms; the bulb is hardy and opens overnight to reveal the beautiful firework flower, which can be found in almost any color. However, unlike normal Powder-Puff flowers, when these flowers are jostled they explode in a burst of colors. Whether it is a simple touch or a strong breeze, these ‘Firework Flowers’ seem to burn up from the center of the flower outwards. It creates a beautiful display of light–especially at night. Scientists describe it as a harmless chemical reaction and encourage everyone to appreciate the flowers while they are here. The dust from an explosion can carry on the wind and will glow for a few hours after the reaction. The explosion cannot harm anyone and poses no danger to anyone.

Amigar could feel herself becoming quiet tired, yet the smile on her face never faded. Tired or not she had a shop to run. It felt like days even if it was only a few hours before her shop closed in preparation for the fireworks that were happening shortly.
"Have a great night everyone! Enjoy the fireworks!" she said happily to her staff as she waved them out the door. Locking it behind them. She yawned and stretched, readying herself for the night ahead. She quickly flicked off the lights and got to work, restocking and tidying up the shop. She made sure all the dishes were done, and the display cases were cleaned. It looked like a brand new shop. She could feel a smile growing on her face as she looked around at the perfect shop. It was ready for tomorrow when they would do it all again. When she was done, she checked the clock and was happy that she was able to finish right before the fireworks were scheduled to go off. She took her apron off, hung it on her hook labeled boss lady. Her staff were always changing that tag. Just last week she was a sweet queen. The irony of that name they didn't even realize, being a senshi of sugar and all. She giggled out loud as she remembered the silly nicknames her staff gave her. She loved the camaraderie and the unique atmosphere she created with her team. She was so happy with all she had changed her father's shop into. It was not only a place full of good memories, but it was also a place many considered a second home. She had really made her dream come true. She was slowly becoming the baker she had always dreamed of, and not only that but she was still protecting the world with her sugar on her days off.
With these thoughts in mind, she turned off the backroom lights and headed out to the back door. Just as she did she looked down at the grass near her back door and that was when she saw it. It was unlike any flower she had ever seen. She gently bent down to touch it and that was when it happened. Boom! The flower burns up from the center of the flower outwards. It creates a beautiful display of light–especially at night. It was like her own mini fireworks show. Even though the large show was starting right above her head, this flower show had captured her eyes. She was mesmerized by the sight. She stood and watched, unable to take her eyes off the flower. Once the light faded, she was left with a feeling of wonder and awe. Just as the flower finished its show, it seemingly disappeared. All but its glow, that was when it hit her. Inspiration.
Amigar's mind started racing with ideas as she envisioned a new dessert inspired by the mesmerizing display of the firework flower. She imagined a delicate pastry with layers of colorful, edible petals that would burst with flavor, just like the flower had burst with light. Excitement filled her as she couldn't wait to bring this innovative creation to her loyal customers and share the magic of the firework flower through her delectable treats. Her mind was racing for miles a minute. She couldn't go home now. So she quickly put her key back in the door lock, flicked the lights on, and sat down at the nearest table. She began writing her recipe, sketching out her plan, and mapping out the steps to perfect her pastry. She smiled as she imagined the reactions of her customers when they tried her creation. She was determined to make her pastry a success.
