(Back dating to June 20th)
Sometimes it was hard to tell when something was wrong, or was about to be wrong, things weren't always predictable, so the eternal had gone out like he normally would. He’d gone out to find, and gather, energy to send back in order to meet his quota. It wasn’t anything difficult, he hadn’t gotten into any rough fights either, it was while moving through the alleyways that sounds started to bother him. Every sound seemed more intense and bothersome and the lights he spotted down the alley and on the street were too bright.
That was when he knew he was screwed, because that was really all the warning he got, the sounds and the lights had given way rather quickly to his stomach churning and revolting as he grasped at a disgusting metal trash can. He would never have touched it if it wasn’t for the overwhelming need to vomit - which he promptly did. His stomach muscles clenched and he heaved up whatever he’d had for dinner. The noise he made just bothering his sensitive ears even more as the pain in his head started, a dull throb at the beginning.,,
He’d figured he was just tired at work, he’d been working on a large piece for hours, and figured that was why he was so touchy and easily bothered by things. Now though, out here hunting for energy, he knew that the issues earlier had been a warning of what was hitting him now. As his fingers shook he found himself on his knees heaving and shaking with the force of it. ********, if he got found like this by some knight or senshi he was utterly screwed. His com unit was pulled out and he tried to reach Arsenopyrite but the other didn’t answer, likely at work tonight then, and he couldn’t focus past the increasing pain to teleport somewhere.

Stichtite moved about the city at a much more efficient pace now that he had the luxury of teleporting. It was… magic… there was no way around it but it had clear rules and limitations so he could justify it to himself. The bonus of not having to touch people in order to drain them was a pleasant upgrade but he still preferred to touch and feel for a heart rate when draining those more unfortunate ones. It was during one of those moments when he noticed something familiar. A chaos signature that he could recognize from a meeting before and with a bit more clarity and direction this time around.
Standing up and wiping his hands off on his jacket before applying hand sanitizer, Lorcan moved towards that signature to see what that icy yet cleanly corrupt was up to. What he had expected was not what he ended up seeing though, a hunched form heaving into a trash can much like some of the drunks he’d seen tonight. The next surprise came when he approached and noticed the smell of alcohol was distinctly missing from them. “Miyamoto?” Standing where they could see him once they came away from the can, he took in the scene up close and waited.

He’d felt the signature coming towards him, it was one he knew and had felt before but stronger, a smile made its way to his face as he pulled away from the trash can.The voice, his name, being called and dark blue eyes turned towards the other slowly. “Shhh….too loud.” Because every sound was louder than normal, or he was just more sensitive to it. He honestly felt like seating himself on the ground but it was dirty…but damn it - he hurt.
His stomach still churned as the throbbing in his head continued, his fingers ghosting up to rub circles of frost against his right temple to try and ease some of the pain. Finally he stood, because he had been bent at the knees at level with the trash can, and took a step towards the other. “I’d teleport home, but I can’t focus.” He didn’t need as much focus, being an eternal, but he couldn’t manage any focus. Standing there he looked like s**t but he certainly felt like it as well. His head hurt and his eyes were too sensitive and his own voice bothered him as he whispered.
“Just need it to stop.” His voice, a whisper, had a whine to it as he closed his eyes and swayed in spot for a moment. His head hurt and he just needed darkness and cold, an ice pack, and he could likely use water. Though the thought of water, of drinking anything, had him turning to puke again, nearly throwing himself at the trash can so he didn’t make a mess of himself or the other, the way his vision swam and his head throbbed with the sudden movements, had him retching worse. His stomach purged itself of everything it contained. “********>

Stichtite’s brow furrowed as he considered what he was seeing and hearing from the senshi as they stood. They looked like s**t, but not like a drunkard or someone who had been drugged. Moving in closer, he pulled a few things from his subspace and worked through what might be going on. It sounded like some sort of migraine or headache but if they had them at such a debilitating level wouldn’t it be reported on? Keeping his voice quiet and his words short and direct.
“Excedrin? Or I can move you somewhere quieter?” Not quite touching them but offering a hand if they needed it, he still watched them and could tell how bad off they were. This was more than a normal everyday headache, much worse and he could remember seeing a few cases almost as bad showing up at his office. The normal medicines he prescribed for that weren’t something he carried around nor were they something that would provide instant relief. His jaw set as he watched them heave up more and stumble, from dizziness or the pain he wasn’t sure but it might as well be both. He felt bad for the corrupt and considered a few more options and pulled an instant ice pack from his subspace as well and offered it to them once they ceased their retching.

The ice pack was something he zeroed in on and grasped in his hand and pressed right to his temple. “Won’t help…” He answered while from subspace he did pull a proper medication bottle out. “Never did figure out if taking it now would be too late to work.” He answered, holding out the bottle of rizatriptan, He had migraines and that was the issue now as he closed his eyes and let the cold soak in and try and work away some of the throbbing he had going on.
“Somewhere dark and silent would be best.” His own home was good…darker colors and dim light bulbs, he’d decorated with things in mind for when he was sensitive to lights. He knew the other would ask about this, they were a doctor, but he was certain he could trust them like he did Arsenopyrite, and no one else in the Negaverse would find out. He didn’t want to become some weakness or be kept out of things because of it - he couldn’t.

Contemplating things he looked over them one more time before resting a hand on their shoulder and sighing. “Rizatriptan should work well enough.” Keeping his voice quiet he sent the other bottle back to subspace and crushed internally about what he was going to be doing. Sending a text to Katya, who he knew was probably working on repairing one of the older pieces of equipment in his home, he let he know to be prepared to cover two signatures. Sliding it into his breast pocket, he looked around just in case as he waited for the buzz of a response. Very few people had this number so it would be her at this time of night.
“Going to my clinic, try not to vomit.” He was as polite as he could be before feeling the buzz against his chest and then teleporting with the corrupt to his home. He could hear, in the back of his mind, the sound of his family rolling in their graves but he ignored it because he was a doctor first and they needed that right now.
Waving towards the mauvian, he went to shut the lights off one by one and led the corrupt towards the examination room down the hall where he knew it was sound proof and would be a place they could recover while he figured out the next step. “This way.” At least he didn’t have to worry about anything really identifiable in his home, it had been a side effect of him having a partial office here. No photos or anything that really showed who he was against his minimalist and clean decor. It was clinical and organized much as everything else about him was. Unless you counted the signs of life his cousin had left in the forms of plush and a singular orchid that they’d dropped off after the last time he’d patched up their tart.

Hearing the others words he nodded slowly, not wanting to move his head all that much, quick movements were not a good thing for him right now and he knew it. He’d had plenty of time since corrupting to learn how his body handled these sorts of things and what to do and not do. So he let the other take him to their clinic, clinging as he was teleported, he let himself cling even more as he took his time in breathing slowly so he didn’t try and vomit. There was nothing in his stomach, he was sure of it, but he still felt that churning feeling. When they left him, standing there ,to turn off the lights he wanted to sigh in relief. Darkness and a cold pack ot his head were blessings when he was like this.
“Thank you, couldn’t teleport myself…got water?” Because he was likely dehydrated, from vomiting, plus it was the only way he was getting a pill down.
Following the other, slowly, he set the pill bottle down just long enough for him to power down before picking it back up. It was safer if he not remain powered up. He didn’t know about the mauvian in the home, having not noticed her on a couch, as they’d arrived. He wasn’t going to risk his signature and someone finding them here. “I don’t get…much warning. Tired..moody.” Scoffing softly he shrugged a bit, rather than shake his head. “Can’t tell considering work. Keeps me tired and people make me moody anyway.” Because he was not a social butterfly and he did not like most people. His job had him working with people…and doing delicate work and dealing with people who were, at times, indecisive and at other times were just difficult to work with.

Powering down once they got settled, he brought over a bottle of water for them. “Here, you can lay on the examination table if you need to or there are chairs.” Keeping quiet as he shuffled around the room in the dark, he noted the warning signs that they brought up and almost laughed. “Hard to tell the difference when the warning signs match up with a baseline you already expect.” Taking a seat on his stool as he spoke, making sure to keep the noise to a minimum as he went.
It made him wonder how they’d managed to not get in trouble considering they couldn’t teleport or do much while like this. They had mentioned loyalty but other than that he only knew a bit about this person who stood in the room with them. It seemed the pointed ears weren’t part of the magic but part of their regular appearance which meant the pointed teeth might be as well. It was a bit odd to him, how alternative this person looked in his opinion.

“Exactly.” Which is how he often missed an incoming migraine and often suffered, like he was now. With the bottle of water in hand, and a bottle of pills, he took one down with ease before the pill bottle was set aside and he laid himself out, facing the other, the ice pack still pressed to his temple. “Don’t tell anyone…can’t have them thinking.” Taking another drink of water, because he really should be drinking, he let his eyes close as he picked back up. “That I’m weak or a liability. Gave up everything - for this…for here.” For the Negaverse. He’d lost his family, his memories, he’d lost himself. He only had what his previous self had put away in boxes for him to find.

And there was the catch, something he had only the smallest bit of knowledge of so far in his readings about how senshi came to join the negaverse. Crossing one leg over, he rested his chin on his palm as he considered things. “Patient confidentiality, if you wouldn’t mind me handling a bit of this. I would prefer to have anyone who intends on working with me in better shape so you can understand my worry as well when you seem to be in a state like this. I can assist with managing things or, in this case getting you somewhere safer, and I will keep silent on things if you continue to provide me some assistance with my patrols.” He spoke slowly, and carefully so as to not let his voice get too loud.
“I am curious though, if you gave something up that means you were one of them before, weren’t you?” A bit of disgust dripped out at the vague mention of order senshi. But if they had chosen to come to this side of things, and for however long they had been a part of this, then that did also add a bit more credibility to their claim of loyalty. It was something he could work with, could understand to a degree even if he hadn’t given up really anything to join. Unless you counted a bit of his sanity and patience being tested each time something came up with his cousin.

“Of course, Arsenopyrite has a secret file for me, keeps it locked up.” Because the General understood his need for silence, he’d given up everything to be on this side. He wasn’t going to be backseated because people found out he had a health concern, as minor as he considered it. It wasn’t like he had a weak heart or breathing issues, which would keep him from fighting, his issue only came up from time to time. It just wasn’t as easy to manage, since the oncoming symptoms were had to notice.
“I was, a cat brought me in without telling me everything. They simply gave me a henshin pen, told me to use it, and that there was a war going on. I didn’t fight for order, I didn’t agree with order. They lack order and discipline…I was left on my own with no trainer assigned or anything.” He’d have had to go out, without anyone to keep him safe, and find someone to train him and help him. Why not just assign someone to him from the start? Why was no actual senshi there for his awakening to take on that role?
“Wolframite found me and answered my questions, that order never did, and offered to help me change sides. He gave me time…to prepare, stored some of my things so I could start again.” Because to build a life from nothing was difficult, nearly impossible, he’d needed the time to make sure he was safe and would land on his feet fairly well. “I betray order, at a training event that was interrupted by the negaverse, I attacked a senshi from behind so she could be captured. Wolframite chased me into the woods.” Because he’d fled so order didn’t get to him, because someone would have surely gone for him.
“I lost my memories to be here - my family, my childhood…everything gone. A new name, no past. It’s the price we pay to change sides….we lose ourselves. I left myself a note - Migraines, sulfa allergy.” He’d left himself important information, what he needed to survive in this world and slowly build back up. He’d like to do better, have a better home, but he was working on that. At some point while talking he’d closed his eyes, letting himself remember the past, having his eyes closed helped to keep any light from bothering him.
“I knew the price beforehand. I paid it willingly.” It was why he’d stored boxes of things…he’d been smart about it. He hadn’t jumped right in and done it that first night he’d met Wolframite. He hadn’t just talked to him, over the course of weeks, and gleaned information from the General. He’d prepared with the others help. He’d taken what he knew would help, left behind a lot, but he’d taken some sentimental things…to remind himself of what he had left behind - where he’d come from. It wouldn’t help with the lost memories but it was nice to at least know and remind himself from time to time.

That was a name he’d heard before, at least he thought it might be. It was that doctor on his cousin’s team. The other name sounded family but he’d yet to meet the half youma general. “I’ll start a file of sorts as well. Of course I will keep it under wraps. More and more I hear about how cobbled together order is and it makes me sick. The disorganization of it all, vermin crawling around the city and witches causing trouble…” He rolled his chin in his hand as he shook his head at it all.
“I’ve heard about Wolframite from my general Benitoite. So I can understand parts of things, I will also write that allergy down in case things come up. I joined things as a favor in part to Benitoite directly, as well as picking up a bit of a duty that was left by the wayside over the centuries in my family. Though I will always be a doctor or medic first so keep that in mind.” He could respect them, at least in part given the sacrifice they had made. It wasn’t one he would do, family was the most important thing to him with the strongest proof being his participation in all of this.
“Starting to feel it easing up at all? I may have some other sample prescriptions in my cabinet here.”

“Thank you.” The file would be good, another person who knew and could help, it was padding to keep him safe if he landed himself in a hospital with doctors who were clueless. He had no medical history anywhere, since he’d been wiped clean sort to speak, it meant there was nothing for a doctor to go on. If he could give a name, someone who knew his small history, it would help.
“Of course, and I’ll keep your back in a fight then. It’s best to keep the medics safe, so others can fight.” Like himself, because he owed it to order. They had pulled him in, left him with no assigned help, and then he’d given up everything to join the safer side - the right side. They were the reason he’d lost everything…and he would make them bleed for it.
“A little…it always takes forever. I’d be willing to try other things, see if any work better.” He answered, not knowing what he had or hadn’t tried before. He was more than willing to see if anything else worked quicker on him. “I still get them too often for my liking…can’t be helped though.” Not with both his jobs and what his triggers were. “Order…too much of a mess, I don’t like it. Children too….too young to make these choices in their lives. They need to be defeated.” Opening his eyes, slowly, he gave a small smile.
“I just wish youma liked us as well…especially those who change sides.” Because they made a sacrifice, by choice, all to be on the right side of things.

With a sharp nod, Lorcan got up and sifted through the samples as he considered what would not react with the other medication they had taken before. Each thing had its own method of providing relief and effected different pathways in the body. Deciding on something, he set it down near the other and returned to his chair. “I agree, not that I don’t think I can fight, but I would rather focus on my main skillset as I have a feeling that there aren’t as many medics in this as fighters.”
Crossing his leg over, he pondered things about what might be causing issues. It was a puzzle all its own and he wanted to solve it if possible but that would depend on if this corrupt would come back. “I can take a look in the future, run some tests if you want to try and figure things out about the cause. Though it also may be something that avoids discovery as things in the head tend to do frequently.” Not even considering the mental side of things, a type of medicine he had no delusions of knowing much about. Reading people, maybe, but the things that cause issues in the mind were outside of his purview.
“Youma are something I haven’t experienced yet but I find them curious. I’ve read into things but I still haven’t formed a full opinion on them yet.” Even if he knew he could in theory find one of his own at this point. They didn’t sit quite right with him yet but they still sat better than the magic did.
“I’ll leave you to rest for now and when you’re feeling well enough you can head out. I need to compile some notes in my home office.” And since the main part of this was over, he intended to get back to work.
