Unlike the brown, soccer-ball sized pods from last year, these are all small and rarely larger than a tennis ball. The downside is that they have also been found in small clusters in surrounding trees as well. Sometimes, the hard-shelled pods tremble and twitch. Sometimes they split open and an angry cicada crawls out. The pods leak a strange, acidic sap that is strong enough to cause skin agitation–and in some cases there are even reports that it’s burned through wood or fabric. The cicadas are covered in it. Unlike the last generation, these cannot spit acid but it is still incredibly unpleasant to come into contact with them. They are food oriented and will come after everything they think can be eaten–food, clothes, hair. They are little more than a nuisance and never seem to stick around for more than a few days. Maybe it’s a sign that nature is healing–or maybe it’s a sign that there’s still something worse to come. Fang had rested. He'd spent a long time resting, after finally wresting control of his planet back from the Chaos that had long plagued it. He.... He and Fang the planet were finally beginning to heal. He'd meant to begin checking on the people who'd come to help much sooner, but he'd spent so much time recovering from the mental breakdown and then fostering his relationship with Ilse, he hadn't contacted anyone other than... well, Ilse and Michel, one of whom he lived with. But now he felt much stronger. More capable. He was a lot more self-assured, something he hadn't even realized he'd had an issue with until he started putting the scraps of his planet back together again. His tail wagged with self-satisfaction as he finally found Procyon, a small rrrff of greeting escaping from deep in his chest. "Procyon," he said, fist over his heart as he bowed. "Good see you. How you? Sorry, for late. Fang wanted to see faster, but... took long time for Fang to feel okay." He knew his friend would understand, even if Procyon hadn't quite reached a place where he could get rid of his own planet's Chaos problem. He had, after all, been there to witness everything. Fang's exhaustion would only make sense.

It had been a bit since Procyon had helped out on Fang, not that it had been an enjoyable experience outside of meeting that very nice princess Lysithea. It had felt good to help, just as he had on Urania and on Daedalus as well now. Anything he could do to help the other senshi like himself and maybe make a few friends along the way. Waving back to them, Procyon smiled with a bit of an excited jump in his motions. "Stronger, a bit tired but good! It's been really busy, are you alright though? How is your home?" He was curious, he knew that Urania had felt her magic stabilizing after things, he'd experienced it first hand but it was too soon to know how things were up on Daedalus. Now he was getting to see the senshi he'd helped between the two so he might have a bit of a timeline on how things were going to compare it all to. The more he knew, the more he felt nervous about turning his attention to his own homeworld. It was something he wanted to fix, wanted to start healing, but it was easier to help others than to ask for help in his opinion. So smiling and always excited to see his friends, Procyon tucked that worry away and hoped to hear good news from the other.

Fang smiled, tail swishing with excitement behind him to match Procyon's infectious, happy energy. "Happy you strong," he said, gesturing to Procyon. "Fang recovering. Slow. But, Fang know animals come back soon. Fang needed much rest after..." He swallowed heavily, the memory of assaulting his chrysocyon mother's corpse still fresh, still looming. "Very scary fight." He sighed a bit. "Fang need to visit again. Finish fixing. Too long since last time." His tail drooped slightly at the thought. He loved his home and wanted to see it full of life and healthy again. Going alone was just... hard.

Nodding, it made sense that they were tired. The whole thing had been a lot and if he hadn't had the princess's help he probably wouldn't have been recovered enough to help out Daedalus as well. Leaning against one of the trees, he heard an odd buzz, almost chirping sort of, sound that distracted him for a moment as the other spoke of going back to fix things. "It was scary... but we all did it though." Smiling still, he was sure the fact there were always senshi and knights to help would make sure things worked out even if they were rough or scary. Afterall, he had figured a bit of information out that might help his own homeworld from that human senshi, Pleione. "I'd like to visit again sometime if that's okay? To see how things are up there, my planet had a lot of visitors but I never got to explore as much as I have now since coming to Earth. I'd love to see how things go now that your home can heal." He'd also figure out something to make for them as well, maybe a scarf or a sash but something that wouldn't be too bulky. It was still a habit of his and something he liked to do often, make little fabric goods for the people he met and knew. Even if he hadn't hosted any ceremonies in... over a thousand years at this point. It still felt odd, the time he'd been awake between periods of rest seemed more like a fever dream so the passage of time was all muddled for him.

Fang nodded eagerly. "Yes! Would love that," he said, expecting to have the chance to say more—but he got distracted by a leaking... ball of some kind under a nearby tree and went over to investigate as it buzzed. A star charm glittered nearby and he picked it up, but hissed as the leaking sap burned his finger and rubbed it off on the top of his boot. It seemed to almost cause a dent in the leather... "Fang doesn't like these," he said, standing and backing away from the pod with a frown. "Procyon know this?" Hopefully, if Procyon knew whatever these pods were, they could... either run away from them and not get hurt by whatever it was, or destroy them if it were possible before they hurt anyone else.

Procyon recognized the little charm, he had grabbed one the other day that had been buried in the sand at the reservoir and even earlier on his way over he'd seen more of them scattered and hanging from the trees like little decorations. Looking at the pod a bit closer as Fang brought them up, he shook his head. "Not sure, it doesn't look good though... maybe we should move away from it?" It didn't look like anything that felt normal for this planet but he still hadn't been here a year yet so it was more than likely it might also have just been something he'd not come across yet. Taking a few steps out from under the tree, he saw more of the things hanging down. "I definitely haven't seen these before." And he probably wasn't going to touch them after seeing it slightly burn the other and then do something to their boot. "Oh are you alright?"

Fang frowned deeper. There were an awful lot... Whatever they were, he and Procyon definitely didn't have enough forces with them to destroy all of the pods. "Fang okay," he said, gesturing to his boot. It hadn't gotten through to his foot, that was all he cared about. "Fang thinks we leave now. Before bad things happen."
