How did that one saying go? If you did not want to think of something it would end up being all that you thought about. Maybe it wasn't as worded as Hylonome was making it out to be but, boy oh boy, did she not really care at this moment. Ever since she had encountered the eternal senshi Ida had her thoughts only been taking her in one direction. Either her general, Prehnite, had lied to her ... or Ida had. For a moment there was conflicting thoughts bouncing around in her mind before she tried her best to quell them. It would not do her any good to simply fly off the handle and go and accuse anyone without trying to work through the facts.
Fact: Ida had claimed that senshi who were force corrupted often lost memories. What type had not been clarified but this was one check against Prehnite's story, or was it? He claimed that she had gotten her amnesia from an unfortunate accident during the battle on the hilltop. Who had the more compelling argument? Hylonome shuddered as she sat up straighter, willing herself to give up this exercise in trying to figure out the truth. But if she was not willing to at least question things, how would she grow as a senshi.
A question after that fact: If she had gained amnesia as Prehnite had suggested why did it only seem to affect one part of her? Would amnesia not have affected all of her memories? Was this another strike against the story that she had been told?
The corrupt senshi brought her hands to her head before she slowly sank down into a crouch before letting all the doubts creep in. Did she belong to Order? Did she belong to Chaos? No matter what side she had started on at that battle, some part of her had been lost during the fight and Hylonome was no longer certain which part it had been. Her gaze narrowed to a single point in front of her as she inhaled sharply. For a moment she stayed in her crouched position before slowly rising to her feet. Lowering her hands to her side the senshi of edelweiss took one steady breath and let it out. That step was then repeated. There needed to be a plan of attack now and although it pained her to even think such thoughts ... explanations would need to be sought out and that meant confronting the source of the information straight to his face: Prehnite ... her general. The one that had brought everyone together into his first ever team. Atro Bella. Prehnite often liked to joke that he was putting together a garden-themed team of senshi: but was this a garden filled with roses or filled with thorns?
Steeling herself for the discussion that was all but a certainty in her near future Hylonome sighed before taking one deep breath before pulling out the one possession that Reed had once told her to keep in case of an emergency. The first ever starseed that she had pulled still had a home in her subspace pocket. Concentrating for a moment the found it appearing in her cupped hands and the brunette peered into the depths of the crystalline structure before making it vanish once more. There was going to have to be a lot of courage inside for what she planned to now do. The truth needed to be known, and it was only Prehnite who had the answers.
