When she woke, Magion began fiddling with her phone at once, pressing everything she could think of until finally, finally she felt herself being transported and once again, she was no longer on her planet. Grinning like a child faced with sweet desserts, she looked around, half hoping that Lucien would still be here, but instead, there was another person.

An Earthling! And she was alive!

Magion let out a gleeful laugh and crossed the distance between herself and the human in four short, skipping steps. “Hi! You’re alive! I met someone last night and they were alive too! This is so fantastic! The Earth is amazing! Who are you? Do you live here…I mean of course you must…is there good food here? I was dreaming about food all night! Imagining what it must be like here! Oh! I’m Magion! It’s so nice to meet you!”

She hadn’t given the woman a chance to say anything and so she nodded at her, hoping that all of her questions would be answered and that they would be friends. Right away.

One moment Mary was walking along, minding her own business - on the way to the bus stop to head back to her Gram's with her imported teas and biscuits - humming slightly. It was a pleasant day in May, warm but with a slight refreshing breeze. She wore a light long sleeved blouse and knee length skirt, bag hung over her shoulder. While they got mail up at the mansion, and could have driven, Mary still liked to walk and take public transport. Cleaner for the environment, and meant she could slip into an alley at a moments notice if she needed to power up. Plus then she knew Tersa was safe at the estate and couldn't be caught in the cross fire.

The next moment someone appeared in front of her and started to talk at her. Mary blinked, green eyes giving the other girl a look over while trying to put at least a little bit of space between her. Senshi. Definitely senshi, given the bows and matching outfit and-- alien senshi by the way she talked. Maybe. It was hard to tell, the girl talked so damn fast.

"H-hold up, a second, yes? Magion was it?" she said, putting on a smile and glancing at the area around them. While the street wasn't full of people by any means, there were enough eyes that gave her pause. "Let's go talk by that arbor over there, in the shade."

Mary guide the senshi over to a quiet alley between two buildings, lined with an arbor and currently off hanging lights. Not the most descrete location, but it wasn't trafficked frequently until the bars at the other end opened up for the evening.

"First, could you... power down, perhaps? I'm Mary, and it's generally not a good idea to run around all day powered up," she said once they were hidden behind the tresseles and ivy.

Magion’s face lit up and she followed the girl to the shade and looked around as she walked, but when she was asked to power down, her smile faded slightly and she hesitated. “Are you…sure?”

She hadn’t…powered down in so long…it…it felt strange to even think about it but…Lucien had mentioned something about it, and after a moment, she figured out what to do and stood there, looking confused, but still eager. “Hi! Is this better for you? I’m still…Magion…”

Pausing, she wrinkled her nose. “Damaris…was my name when I wasn’t though. So I suppose you can call me that?”

Mary smiled at her and nodded. "Sorry, we don't tend to run around powered up unless we're on patrol or there's something big going on. Normal people tend to get uppity when 'costumed terrorists' keep crashing through their windows." There wasn't much, actually, in the difference between 'Magion' and 'Damaris' but she couldn't exactly power down in the middle of the street.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Damaris, and," she said, letting power flood her for a moment to power up into Bifrost, "I'm also Bifrost, Transcendent Knight of Chronos." The power faded almost as fast and she shifted the bag on her shoulder as she wiggled a little.

"Sorry, again. You're probably used to a very different sort of welcome... and world, right? Do you have a place to stay here, yet?" Mary had no idea how to handle a freshly awoken senshi from stasis, much less one from the deep corners of space. She couldn't just leave Damaris out to fend for herself though; she was likely to get herself arrested or worse.

At the very least, Damaris could stay with her for a little while to get oriented and settled, and then she could make her own decisions. Mary just didn't want to leave her to the chaos of the city alone.

That was how you lost people to Chaos.

“Ah!” Damaris blinked quickly, trying to understand everything that was being said to her, and spending more time just enjoying the sound of a new voice. It was lovely. Like a beautiful melody coming from the woman’s mouth…and when she powered up swiftly, and back down, Damaris grinned broadly.

“So! You are a Knight! Of Chronos!”

She spoke the words as though they meant something to her, even though…they absolutely didn’t. Still! She could be supportive, and she was!

“I do not have a place to stay, but I have the means to travel back to my world! I was given this device…”

She tried to pull out the Senshi phone, but of course, she wasn’t…powered up. So…nothing happened.

“Ah…well. No, I do not have a place to stay…”

Mary winced a little and nodded. Oh this poor girl really had... no idea. About anything. Okay. She could work with this. Or at least help guide her along until she had her feet under her.

"I'll explain a little more once we're not in public, since you never know who might be an agent of the Negaverse or not," she said, pulling out her own phone from her bag.

"As for a place to stay, I can help with that. My grandmother has a large estate outside the main city, and we always have open rooms," explained Bifrost as she typed a quick text to her grams.

Mary: Grams, I'm bringing a new friend to the estate to stay for now. She's a bit... new. To Earth.

Grams: New to Earth??? I will set the kettle boiling and set out some muffins for you two!! smile smile smile

"Alright! Now I usually take the bus back to the neighborhood where we live, but since you won't have a bus pass... I'll call an Uber and someone will come pick us up." Would Damaris have any idea what she was saying, absolutely not. But Mary really didn't want to try to explain to her what public transportation was, and she didn't bring extra cash to pay for another person on the bus. She continued tapping on her phone for a moment and then all they had to do was wait for the car to come get them.

“Oh! Okay!” Damaris nodded and looked around as Mary did whatever she wanted to do…she was doing something with her phone, she was saying something, things that Damaris didn’t really understand…well, didn’t understand a tall but she kept smiling, still so happy to be talking to someone real. Lucien had been great, but this was so much better. This was a friend, who looked like she did. This was someone who she would be able to hang out with.

“I’m very excited!” It was all she could think of to say, and she looked at Mary with another grin. “I don’t know what anything you’re talking about is, but I’m very excited anyway!”

"Damaris... how long have you been... on Earth?" she asked her, blinking at the blue haired young woman for a moment. The way she spoke and how she reacted to things really led Mary to think she'd been here for maybe 24 hours... at most. What was the cosmic space even... doing with these people good grief...

The car came up quickly and Mary handled confirming the ride. She opened the door and gestured to Damaris.

"Get in and scoot the far side, please. I'll help with the seat belt," she said. Mary waited as Damaris got in and then slid in next to her. "Pardon the reach."

Mary reached across the young woman and grabbed the seat belt, before clicking it into place. Once both of them were buckled in, the car started to move. It would take a good half an hour to get to the estate, but they could sit and talk in the meantime. Sort of.

"The seatbelt is for your safety; sorry it feels uncomfortable. You get used to it," remarked Mary with a soft smile.

“How long? I was here for a little bit when I was talking to Lucien…and then went back to Magion to sleep…but I went there by accident and I’ve been here since you found me! So…not long at all!”

The car startled the girl slightly and she stared at it with some apprehension but then got into it as Mary told her to, and allowed the other woman to put the…seatbelt on.

She nodded at the explanation, even if she looked a little confused. “How long have you been on Earth?” Damaris wasn’t that much of a fool and kept her voice low for the question…the person driving the…car was a stranger after all.

Mary raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "My whole life. I was born here, which... gosh was twenty eight or so years ago? But yes, born and raised in Destiny City! I didn't come into my... power until I was seventeen or so, and I've been doing all that since." She did not need to regale Damaris about her year on her wonder or dying... or the memories of a future that never came to pass.

Damaris had been there for what probably amounted to twenty whole minutes. Long enough to stumble into a Mauvian apparently.

"Sorry, I know this all probably really overwhelming for you? Or are you just excited to see a new place?" The city slowly shrank around them as they left downtown and made their way towards the suburbs.

“Oh!” Damaris nodded. “I’m just so thrilled and excited to see everything…it’s been so lonely. Everyone who lived on the island I was stuck on is…well. Gone. And the creatures too…I’m sure that people are on the other islands but…”

She chewed her lip and glanced towards the driver and then shrugged. “That’s something we can talk about at…your place?”

She wanted to talk about it. She wanted to just keep talking forever. It was so nice to hear voices. Sounds that weren’t just the waves lapping against the shore.

“I’m so glad that you found me.”

"Oh... I'm sorry it's so lonely there," she said with a soft smile. Depending on how long her world has been 'dead', it would have been a very long time since she had last seen real people. Much like how the Surrounding had been when Mary first arrived. "We can talk more once we're at my house. I'm glad I found you too; it's not always safe even in the daylight.”

The rest of the ride was quiet, at least from Mary.

Grams: ETA to my new grandchild?
Mary: Grams!
Mary: About five minutes, we're going through the gate.

The estate itself sat on a hill that overlooked one of the higher end suburban developments a good half hour from downtown. It was the only house on the five acres of land that surrounded it, and looked more like an estate from Europe than the US. The asphalt drive turned into a paved road that divided the expansive - and well kept - gardens that led up to the estate proper. The road ended in a gravel cul de sac centered around a fountain.

“Press the big red button to release the seat belt,’ she said, demonstrating with her own. The driver gave a nod once both were out of the car.

“Ah! Is this her, my little gatekeeper?” Came an excited call from the large oak front doors. The woman who stood there was a little portly, though her high waisted skirts and blouse accented it well. She had the same blonde hair as Mary, pulled into a long braid over her shoulder, and vibrant green eyes.

“Yes, Grams, this is Damaris,” replied Mary with a sigh and shake of her head. Of course Tersa Tunith would be more excited about a new friend then her own grandchild. “I got your things too, you know!”

“Yes, yes but come here Damaris, let me have a look at you!”

Damaris had stared out the window, eagerly watching everything pass by. Everything was so different than what she was used to, and while she was exciting, the sheer amount of difference was…well. A little daunging.

She left the car and muttered a word of thanks to the driver before clumsily going to Mary’s side and staring at…Grams.

Breaking into a delighted smile, Damaris nodded her head. “Hello! I am Damaris! It is so nice to meet you! Two living people in one day!” She paused. “Three if you count the one in that…thing! Three living people! This is where you live? This is beautiful!”

She moved closer to Tersa and seemed a little confused at what she should do to let the woman look at her, but…she was there! Look away!

Tersa gave an appraising eye over Damaris and walked around her. "A bit skinny, but Mary says you're new to Earth? Do you like tea? I do also have coffee, but Mary will have to find the coffee maker somewhere in the attic first. We also do have some soda - I keep it around for the grounds keepers - and some of those flavored waters I think..." she said, tapping a slightly wrinkled finger to her chin in thought.

Mary made her way up the stairs and sighed at the older woman. "Grams... she's not even inside yet, can you please leave the interrogation for the sitting room at least?" The admonishment held no real weight with the soft hint of amusement in her voice, but the front stoop really wasn't the place for this. Tersa was still appraising Damaris up and down, humming softly under her breath. "Grams?"

"Hmmm with some alterations some of Mary's old clothes should fit, and I think I still have a box of my daughters---- Oh! Right. Yes! Please, come in and make yourself at home. We can worry about the particulars later."

Tersa guided the two into the estate, into the entry hall. It was decently sized and sparsely decorated, with a curving staircase up the left side. An arch into two other hallways were on the right and the left, and a heavy oak door sat on the far wall. From there, the trio went right into the east wing, and a homey, if somewhat cluttered, sitting room facing the east gardens. Two couches sat opposite each other with a low mahogany table in the middle, with a platter of finger foods, muffins and confections. Three tea cups sat awaiting tea, with an electric kettle nearby steaming.

"Please! Have a seat and relax. I hear you are in need of a place to stay, and we have ample rooms here for use, for as long as you have the need," said Tersa, settling into the more cluttered couch with a soft smile.

Damaris smiled at Tersa and didn’t let the expression falter even if her mind was shooting questions at her. She knew what tea was…but…the rest of the things…coffee was again known, but it was never something that had been popular on Magion, but the other things, she just nodded…and shrugged at the same time.

Following the two inside, Damaris looked around, the smile finally dropping to make way for the stunned, pleased look of excitement. This was all so new. So beautiful. This…was a lovely home.

“You have such a lovely home…and I think you very much for allowing me to stay! If I ever become too much trouble I will simply go home to Magion again! I am able to get back there and I have my hammock set up…it has been my bed and refuge for…well. Ever so many years now.”

It would be…interesting to sleep inside. And for a moment, Damaris faltered and looked at the two, squirming just slightly. “...Do you have any hammocks outside? I am very used to being outside…all of the time…”
