It’s a five minute drive outside of the Eastern side of town and features clear water and sandy beaches--although, the sand here is notorious for squeaking when you step on it. It’s a hot spot for all fun summer activities, but it’s been in the news for mysterious reports of some strange, aquatic monster. Some accounts say they’ve spotted a twenty foot long, snake like creature capable of rearing a long neck high above the water. It’s hard to tell if the videos are doctored, but there are too many rumors to dismiss easily. Something strange might be lurking deep in the water. Or it’s just a hoax to get people out to the Reservoir! But…Sometimes, people feel like something is grabbing their ankle, even if they are just wading in the shallow end. In the deeper parts of the water, it gets a little more intense: something has been said to grab onto ankles and pull. People have been warned about dangerous pranks, but so far no one has been caught. In the shallow end, anyone unfortunate enough to be targeted may feel themselves being knocked off their feet and tugged into the water; anyone in deep water may feel a firm grip on their ankle, tugging them lower and lower. Somehow, anyone it targets is freed--either by wriggling and fighting, or because someone intervenes and pulls the would-be victim up. No one has drowned in the lake. Yet. It's impossible to see who, or what, is doing this, but it usually gives up after one failed attempt. Usually. While you may find yourself harassed by the supposed cryptid, or see something visibly odd in the distance, you cannot take any pictures of the creature. Who knows if you’re even being attacked by the cryptid–or just another youma?

Coco was on the beach but she wasn't getting in that water she was a cat water all, guardian cat but still a cat so she wasn't doing water, she figured if someone in the water needed to be saved someone else would handle that after all she only had her little star lazar. Perhaps someday she would have powers kinda like a senshi but she wasn't there yet. She lay in the sand letting the sun warm her calico colored fur. It was good being a cat. Humans had so many things to do. She did too in a way she had a job helping senshis. If she wanted to prove herself she was going to have to help a lot more senshis with awakening and power upgrades and stuff. She stretched out of the sand that day was not today though. Today she was just relaxing. Least that was what she thought she was going to do today. This was her first time at the reservoir and she hadn't heard any stories of creatures pulling people down in the water. She didn't want to get dragged into the water, one she couldn't swim very well and two she didn't want to get wet.

It had taken time, almost a year at this point for him to figure out exactly where the reservoir was that Illyria had told him about when he first made his way to this planet. It was much larger than he had expected but that was a pleasant surprise, one he really needed after what he'd seen on Daedalus. It also seemed like with that time he'd gotten stronger so Illyria had helped him access more power. It felt nice, almost like a reward for him pushing and helping even if he wasn't the best at fighting when it came to clearing chaos from the other worlds of ancient senshi like himself. The latest one had worn him down more than the others because of how much pollution effected him and his sensitive skin. He'd scrubbed for days even if the downpour after the fight had been won had washed away most of the pollution. Spotting a feline lounging in the sand, he perked up for a moment and wondered if they were like Illyria or just a regular cat. The grey senshi waved for a moment before looking over at all the water, very much wanting to dive right in if it was as clean as the water at Miss Ida's home. "Hello, do you know if the water is nice here? I've heard of this place but never been." Tilting his head as he looked at the cat, his squishy rabbit-like earss shifting with his motions.

Coco turned her head her star clear to see on her head "Do you normally talk to cats on a beach full of people?" She said softly in return. She looked him over some was pretty certain he wasn't an earthling, perhaps that was why he didn't know most people didn't randomly talk to cats. Then again that wasn't always tree, many earthlings liked to tell Coco she was cute. "I suppose the water is nice here, I'm not going in I don't want to get my fur wet." She knew she could turn into a human but she still hadn't tried to do that yet and she was nervous about trying for the first time. Besides she would have to go and transform somewhere and come back to the water, and still she wasn't sure if swimming was going to be her thing. "You can always go in if you like." She said as if she had the right to tell the stranger what to do. She was being silly but he didn't necessarily know that. She giggled at little she just couldn't help herself, she thought it was funny that they were talking to her on the beach. Coco looked out at the water and saw something strange peeking up in the water. She tilted her head to the side. "Or maybe you shouldn't go in there to be on the safe side.." She frowned looking at the water. In the end it would be their choice if they went in the water. She really really didn't want to go in the water and still was hoping that she wouldn't have to go into the water. She continued to watch the water with distrust. Then again how many cats didn't distrust water I ask you?

Blinking for a moment, he rubbed the back of his head. "I've seen people talk to cats before, though only some respond." Pouting a bit, he sat near the edge of the water and took his shoes off, dipping his feet in while still looking back at the mauvian. "I can understand that, Miss Illyria doesn't like getting wet either. I doubt many mauvians like my planet with how everything is underwater. It's so dry here, I'm glad I finally was able to make my way over to the water here, it feels nice and cold." Stretching his feet out, he swished them around in the water and scooted forward a bit till his knees were in it. Not having heard their warning until after he was knee-deep in the water, he looked out at it and saw some movement but it didn't bother him much. "I'm sure I'll be alright. So what is your name Miss Mauvian? I'm Procyon."

Coco smiled "You are very correct." She couldn't argue since it was true. She looked at him and then said "Ah that is understandable if you come from a world that is water-based, perhaps you will be able to handle whatever is in the water then even if you do go for a swim." She suggested. She was betting that he would be a great swimmer. "I'm Coco."

"Yes, most everything was beneath the waves except a few ports for guests to arrive at and enjoy some welcoming festivities." Things he'd played a part in as the senshi of his world. Kicking his feet in the water as he spoke, he didn't really notice anything at first. "I like that name, it sounds very fun. What do you like to do for fun Miss Coco? Any places you like to go?" Always looking for new things to get into or new people to meet and friends to make, Procyon listened as he smiled and paid more attention to the mauvian than the rippling surface of the water near his swaying feet.

Coco smiled and said "That sounds nice if you like water." She smiled again when he complimented her name. "I like your name as well." It was easy for her to tell him what she liked to do. "I like painting, and working on different tech items.. places to go there is a cafe I like I don't remember what it's called off-hand maybe it was Puppy Paws." She scrunched up her face thinking.

"Oh painting, I like to make clothing and trinkets. Tech isn't something I really understand much still built it seems really useful... AH!" Something grabbed at his leg and tugged him into the water. He couldn't quite see it but he managed to grab the edge to keep whatever it was from pulling him all the way under. Kicking at the thing with his free leg, he couldn't pull himself up over the edge to see if he could get some help. "M-m-monster!" It didn't feel like a youma though so he wasn't sure what to do as he held on to the edge with one hand and tried to reach out to punch at whatever was grabbing him.

This had been the very thing that Coco was hoping to avoid, she didn't think twice though she jumped into the stupid water she didn't want to get into and she blasted the tentacle with her star lazar which was the only real weapon she had. Forcing the thing to let go of her new friend. She then went back up to the surface gasping in a breath of air. She looked to make sure he was alright before making her way back to the shore.

"Woah!" Moving as he saw a laser, Procyon found his leg being freed and pulled himself back up out of the water. Being wet didn't bother him but he felt bad for Coco being wet. "Oh! Here wait, I have something to help." Scooting closer, he pulled a towel from subspace and offered it to the mauvian. "I can help dry you off, thank you, and sorry you got wet."

Coco smiled even though she was wet and she rolled herself around on the towel, "Thank you." She said she wasn't angry she had to get wet it was worth it to make sure he was alright. "Don't worry about it I'm glad you are alright." She spotted an orange star charm in the sand. "It's warm enough I shouldn't be wet for long anyway."

Helping the mauvian dry off, he tried not to laugh because this was the second time in just a few days that he'd had to help dry one off. "I think I'll look for a different body of water to dip my feet in, hopefully, that thing isn't here all year...." Stretching a bit, he saw a few little things in the sand and ran his fingers through it to see what they were. It looked like someone had dropped a keychain, one with a star and a blue ribbon. "Oh... this is pretty, I wonder if someone dropped these running from that thing?" Looking at the one Coco had happened upon, he figured it'd be fine to keep the one he found as well. "Oh! Wait, before I go home, can I add you?" Pulling his senshi phone out, he remembered the steps Illyria told him on how to add contacts but he wanted to make sure it was okay before he took Coco's photo since she was still a bit wet.

Coco thought about it and she said "I think it's special for this time of year.. I bet once the festival is over it will disappear or go back to sleep whatever it does." She looked at the star charm that he picked up. "Who knows, these things are all over the place during the star festival. Sometimes I think someone goes around with a basket of them and scatters them everywhere." She pulled her own phone out of her subspace and exchanged their information. She smiled "All done." She said warmly.

Nodding, that sounded good because he'd really like to spend some time near the water if he could. Maybe not when it got colder but springtime or fall? He'd have to figure it out and as Illyria what she thought. At least he'd finally found the place. With the information exchanged, Procyon got up and stretched once more, feeling out that he wasn't really hurt or anything. "It was nice meeting you, I should get home though before Miss Illyria worries. It was nice meeting you Coco, maybe you can show me your art one day? I can bring something for you next time as well." Smiling brightly, he waved goodbye to the mauvian and headed back towards home.
