Quote: Under Construction (11) : Construction in Destiny City is a constant; it is never surprising to see buildings come and go. However, almost overnight it seems as though a large project has suddenly come to life. Where there was once an abandoned strip mall and a sad, trash laden park, the ground has now been completely bulldozed. There’s no information about this project available in any media outlets or online, and all attempts to research it result in dead ends. A large fence has been put up, but twelve feet of wire isn’t enough to keep out anyone curious enough to investigate. Cameras are set up all over the place and there is a strange, almost magical energy. The space is large enough to be a theme park. Strangely, frosted glass stars in an array of colors can be found randomly across the lot. Someone obviously has big plans for this space–already, some strange, fantastical buildings are going up. The space feels strangely large, and once you have jumped the fence it feels like Destiny City is a world away. The sky seems brighter and the city lights seem far away, almost as though there is some strange barrier separating the construction zone and the rest of the city. And, oddly enough, if you are standing outside the fence and looking into the construction zone, everything appears blurry and it's hard to make out the details. It’s strange, for sure–but nothing seems wrong about it. Yet.

Actaea wasn't about to let a fence stop her from checking out a strange area, she jumped over the fence and started looking around this place hadn't been here before which wasn't strange for this city, stuff appeared and disappeared all the time. She didn't mind the weird stuff in this city and she was comfortable in her life now. Working for the negeverse was fine, she had a crew she worked with that helped to take care of her. She had chosen to let her old family go and she had moved on with her life in the negaverse. Now she was going to the building with the fogged glass. She wasn't really paying attention to anything else around her as she gazed into the building or well she was trying since there wasn't much to be seen. She was curious what this place was and she pulled away from the glass and started walking around trying to find an entrance. She knew it would be a bad idea to break in but she was so curious so she was still looking for a way in so she could find out what was in there. She so far wasn't having any luck.

There was always some kind of construction going on in central Destiny City, but this was the first time Parsifal had seen anything like this. He stared at the fence surrounding the construction site, then hopped over it like it was nothing and grinned as he landed on the other side. There were some advantages to this powered up stuff, weren't there? Even if he had to be tripping balls to appreciate them. Looking around, the pink-haired Senshi of Alternatives made an 'o' with his mouth. This place was wild – there were weird-looking buildings going up, frosted glass stars strewn everywhere, and the whole place felt separated from the outside world, like it was a separate dimension or something. "Cool," he grinned to himself. This was gonna be fun to explore! Parsifal headed for one of the buildings, one with a fogged glass facade on the outside. An annoying tingle pricked the back of his mind – a Chaos aura was nearby – but he was too curious (and high) to care. Pressing his face against the glass, he tried looking in, but couldn't see anything. Was there an entrance? There had to be, right? Maybe the Chaos person knew! "Hey, I know you're here," he called out, his voice echoing strangely off the surrounding buildings under construction. "Did you find a way in yet?"

Actaea turned and frowned wow whoever they were they sounded super cheerful. She called back out "Yea you can sense me congrats, and why would I tell you if I found anything good?" After all they weren't on the same team and even if they were she still might not tell them anything. Perhaps she wanted the glory all to herself for once. That wasn't what she wanted but she did like being contrary. She continued to walk around the building, she still couldn't find a way in and the glass still hid all it's secrets. It really was something that would likely drive her crazy. She started to grumble and the sound echoed in the construction site. "I bet you wouldn't tell me if you found anything kool." She called back to the voice that had started to talk to her. She wished she could get into this building. She really wanted to know what was inside. She leaned forward and attempted to tap of the foggy glass windows but she doubted she would get any response. Since it was so late at night. She wasn't surprised that no one was inside. Besides she still didn't know how to get inside anyway.

It was Parsifal's turn to frown. "I'm just asking, all right? I'm trying to be sociable and s**t!" he shouted back. Wow, Chaos people were rude sometimes. "You could maybe tell me cause I wanna see what's inside too!" Hearing the grumbling and the shouted response, he began to triangulate on it, following it around the building. "Sure I'd tell you! I so would! This is too cool not to share, you know? I don't care if you're a Chaos person!" He stopped for a moment and pressed his face against the glass again, shielding his eyes with his hands. There was no way he was going to be able to see inside this way. "Hey!" he called out. "Wanna try breaking the glass?" He felt a little wrong for even suggesting it, but dammit, his curiosity was overwhelming. Besides, if they did – which he figured, they're like a Chaos person, they'd be more likely to break the glass than an Order person like him would – they'd both find out.

Actaea was surprised to hear what she was hearing she rolled her eyes "Uh huh right, you would share with someone from another faction." She heard the suggestion of trying to break the glass "While an amusing idea, I doubt it would be that simple or someone else would have likely done it by now." She finally stepped to where they could see each other. "I suppose we could try if you like, but I'm betting it will bounce right off." She said looking at the one she had been talking to this whole time. She then leaned over to pick up an amber star charm she spotted on the ground.

"I would, I totally would share it with you!" Parsifal was getting a little irritated with this Chaos person. He could understand not wanting to share with anyone, but this was harmless and he was so very curious. The other stepped around the corner, making herself visible, and he gave her a once-over just as she was looking at him. She was apparently a corrupt Senshi, which he hadn't had much in the way of negative interactions with before now. Still, she had a point. "You're probably right," he grudgingly agreed as she bent over to retrieve something from the ground. "But I'm gonna try anyway." Bending over himself, he picked up a random rock and backed away from the glass building in case the window did in fact shatter. Then he chucked it with all his strength at the glass. Which didn't break. "Well s**t," Parsifal grumbled. He went up to the building to look more closely at where the rock struck; there wasn't even a dent in the wall. Looking up at the corrupt Senshi, he scowled. "Now I really ******** want to know what's in there."

Actaea ignored his argument that he would share, she looked down at the frosted glass stars on the ground in the dirt and back to the city that seemed so very far away from in here. She watched as he failed to break the glass just as she had thought. "I don't think we will be getting any answers here today, I think I will be on my way."

Parsifal's scowl deepened. "Just giving up like that? ….Well, okay. Guess I'll give up too." He turned and started trudging away – until he noticed (again) the frosted glass stars on the ground. Those brightened his mood! "Okay, Miss Corrupt Senshi, I'm leaving, goodbye!" he chirped, skipping over to one of the stars and trying to pry it loose. All he succeeded in doing, though, was tearing up the ends of his fingers. "Well s**t." MiddyGlow are we approaching a FIN on this one? XD
