Ilmare hadn't had any strong intentions of patrolling. Mostly, she just went out in the hopes of maybe running into little Saiph again. Make sure the kid was okay. Maybe talk about some of the questions she'd been starting to have.
Questions that she couldn't talk to with anyone else. Everyone knew better than to let on that there were... concerns. It was better to keep busy and look like she was doing something and be able to keep off of anyone's radar.
As she wandered through the dark streets and past construction, she wondered how much trouble she'd get into if she carjacked a crane to take it for a spin. Laughing softly to herself, she knew she'd never be so daring. Though maybe one day.
Maybe.
As she paused to stare at the various machinery, she felt a flicker of an order aura. She felt a prickle of hope before forcing it down. The odds of it being who she wanted were abysmal. But you never knew. It could still be someone interesting.

Halley was wondering around the construction site to see if they'd unearthed anything interesting. The senshi of superstition was always looking for interesting things, sometimes she turned up nothing. Other times she ended up finding something that she didn't expect to find.
She paused when she felt the Aura of another near by, her brown crinkled as she thought. It felt like chaos, but . . . was it good chaos or bad? Not that any chaos was particularly good, some where just nicer than others. It felt very much like the dungeons and dragons type scale of Chaotic good, Chaotic neutral and Chaotic evil.
The senshi popped over to the crane as she could use it as a high spot until she determined the nature of the one she was about to face. "Ah, it's an odd place to run into someone else this time of night ain't it?" She questioned suddenly waiting to see what the other would do.

Even though the voice she heard from above was all wrong, Ilmare still looked up hopefully. Only to sigh and pout that it wasn’t the order senshi she wanted to see. Though, she had to give this girl credit for some style. Top of a crane was a very good Perch™ to look down on the world from.
“I suppose it is,” Ilmare said agreeably. “But in my defense, construction sites generally are unpeopled this time of night. Now I can’t fudge my report and say I didn’t encounter anyone.”
The other girl would probably think it a silly thing. Why not fib a little on a report, she would probably ask herself. The answer to that was easy. No one lied to the Generals. The ones who had had made very pretty Examples. Head tilted back, Ilmare decided that she wasn’t going to put a crick in her neck for anyone.
“I’m not spending the night screaming up at you. Hold on a tick…” she stated before running and leaping onto the crane and running up the arm, stopping a few feet from the other senshi. She was trying to talk, not start anything. At least for now. Wedging herself against a strut, she smiled cheerfully.
“That’s better. So, what’s the plan here? Are you gonna lecture me and look disappointed or are you a fighting type? I’d just like to know what to expect, y’know?”
She was unbothered either way, though she had to admit that if she could pick a fight it would help keep her a** out of trouble with her superiors.

Halley looked intrigued when the other said they couldn't fudge their report nor were they going to spend their night screaming up at her. The senshi of superstition watched the other join her and position themselves again a strut.
"Ah I don't typically just fight for no reason, though I do like occasionally sparring and seeing what my magic does in different senarios." She admitted, "Actually I quite prefer to sometimes just content create and made a whole channel for it as a senshi."
She laughed, "I mean after all why not make the super life more interesting." She was looking at Ilmare, "I'm Sailor Halley, senshi of superstition." The senshi offered.

Blinking in surpise, Ilmare considered for a moment. "Oh, we're using our magic names. Okay, I'm uh, Ilmare, Senshi of Harebells. Is it really okay just introducing ourselves like this?"
It seemed more than a little weird, though she also kind of appreciated the gesture.
"Okay, so wait. You actually power up and just make videos or tik toks and s**t? All while powered up? And no one gets after you for it?"
The idea was honestly mind blowing. She couldn't imagine any of the generals sanctioning such a thing, but maybe they would depending on the circumstances. But she sure as hell wasn't going to be the one to ask them.
"I can certainly see where it would make life more interesting," she said after a moment's thinking. "Also, just to be clear, I would prefer to not fight fight. You mentioned sparring though. I wouldn't mind seeing what one of your lot can do."

Halley smiled as Ilmare seemed to be caught off guard, she wasn't expecting the other to be surprised. "Ah nice to meet you Ilmare!" She said chipperly and then chuckled a little, "Well if neither of us are looking for an actual fight why would we not introduce ourselves?"
The senshi paused and thought about what Ilmare asked, "Oh, well I make sure to use public wifis if I'm uploading them but there's been negative comments sometimes. That doesn't mean I have to listen to them. There's others who are interested in what I'm doing and sometimes they think I'm just dressed up in a weird costume and ask why I'm pretending to be one of those crazy terrorists."
She shrugged, "Plus it's pretty unique content. I haven't really seen anyone else do it."
She hadn't considered that the negaverse or dark mirror maybe interested in her content as she made it. Which could also cause her to be a target. "I also make sure I had an account for my powered handle." She shrugged softly.
She grinned again when the other said they'd prefer not to fight but was interested in the sparring. "Oh awesome, there's an open area over there we could go and spar over there I'd love to see what Harebells does as an attack myself."
She started over towards the open area. "Also I think it's secluded enough over there we shouldn't bother anyone or draw too much attention."

Okay, Halley had a fair point. Where was the harm in a polite introduction after all? But it still made Ilmare slightly uneasy. But as long as she didn’t go babbling in front of a superior, who would ever know that she was talking to folks on the other side? She really needed to relax.
And she did relax, sort of as the whole content creator thing was explained a little more. So long as Halley was being careful and not filming in places that could be easily recognized, she’d be okay. Right?
“You know more about this stuff than me,” she admitted with a helpless shrug. “If you think you’re safe from the wrong sort seeing your videos and coming for you, I’ll believe you. But I want to see one of your videos before this is over.”
Not that she’d do anything with any information she saw. She was just nosy!
And as the spot Halley pointed out was agreeable, she nodded and began to climb down from the strut. “Hey, works for me. I’ll admit I’m curious to see how Superstitions works out myself. Should be educational.”

Halley was thinking about what Ilmare had pointed out, maybe she should find a cat to see if they could help her hide where she's uploading at more. There would have to be another way to be able to upload with having difficulty finding her, she'd been bouncing to different public locations to upload.
Though she didn't miss a beat when the other said she knew more. She nodded, "Of course! I'd love to show you." She hummed as she jumped down to the ground.
She nodded, "I do think it'd be fun!"
She took a spot at one side of the area, "Do you want to go with your magic first?"

As Ilmare reached the ground and eyed the spot Halley had picked, she was thinking that this was one of the odder encounters she'd ever had with the White Moon folk. Most had required coaxing to play fight with her. Halley seemed to be treating it as a curious experiment.
Well, everyone handles things differently, she thought.
Taking a stance that would give her the steadiest footing, Ilmare couldn't help but stare a little.
"You really just want me to sling magic at you?" she said incredulously. "I'll do it, but close your eyes and mouth, please. Otherwise, it won't be much of a fight."
Dutifully called up what she had before turning a calculating look at Halley. Not much in the way of bare skin, but she'd worked with less before.
"Fairy Bells Ring!"
The moment the little cup was in her hands, she flung it out towards Halley's face.
LP Sailor Scout Attack: Fairy Bells Ring Effects - Ilmarë cups her hands before her and speaks her attack. A small cup that looks like a harebell appears an is filled with an iridescent white liquid which Ilmarë then throws out at her opponent. Should the liquid strike bare skin, the target will be subject to mild hallucinations of a fantastical nature (player discretion as to what they see) for 25 seconds. Should any of the liquid strike the eyes or go into the mouth, the hallucinations last for an extra 5 seconds. Able to use twice per battle.

Halley grinned when the other one jumped down and joined her and asked if she really just wanted her to sling magic at her.
"Yup!" Halley replied cheerfully, she enjoyed random research moments, after all how else do you learn what might be useful in some situations. "Alright!"
She closed her eyes as she was instructed as well as her mouth and listened to the other call out with their attack.
When she was hit with the attack the senshi stood there for a moment making sure her face was dry so nothing would get into her eyes or mouth. She was looking around before seeing something move from the corner of her eye.
"Weird." She said softly watching as she saw some large animal, she looked again when a sudden strike of lightning flashed causing her to jump. There was a large 3 headed dog standing there near Ilmare "Ohhh this is coool." She wanted to go try to pet it, moving towards it.
But as she went to place a hand on it the dog dissipated and popped again on the opposite side of the battle field. "Huh."
She was looking around, and found the dog. "This is interesting. She was following the creature."
She looked around, "Are you ready for my attack?" The senshi asked as she was still following the dog around the battle field.

Well, Ilmare thought, this is certainly the most chill I've ever seen anyone hit by my magic. Had she not been totally sincere in her desire to not actually fight, it would have been so easy to dive in for a hit while Halley was chasing whatever it was she was seeing.
But that wasn't what Ilmare wanted out of this. So she stayed where she stood and watched.
And maybe giggled a little bit. Just a little.
But her inner alarms went off when Halley offered to throw her attack out. No, ma'am. Not until she was fully back in reality.
"Are you, for lack of a better word, sober yet? If so, then yes. If no, please wait until you're nt seeing space lobsters."

Halley had attempted again to rub the dog with the three heads as she was watching and following where it went. "Space lobsters? OHHH is that something people have seen with this?"
She was looking around to see if there was anything else fun that she might've missed. Like a fairy rolling a raspberry jelly doughnut. That would've been just as awesome. But no, just the dog and when she reached for it again - it snapped it's jaws and disappeared.
The senshi squinted her eyes, "I was following a large doggo with three heads. Reminded me of fang from Harry Potter.. . . " She said offhandedly.
She took a little bit longer to look around, "I - dare say I think he's gone." A small pout but it was fine. She didn't have to pet the large doggo. "Though he did snap his jaws at me before dipping out, I don't think he liked me chasing 'em around trying to give belly rubs."
The senshi of superstition chuckled. "I suppose had it been a tiger I would've also tried to chase it around and pet it."
"Sooooo. . .. " She looked again, "I do think it's gone now... how long does this sorta thing normally last?"

From Ilmare's viewpoint, Halley's antics were supremely amusing. Hearing that she had been chasing a giant dog was, frankly, adorably endearing.
"To be honest, you're the first person who's ever really described what they've seen. Space lobsters is just something I read in a book once that felt apt."
Striding forward, she clasped her hands behind her back as a way of saying she wasn't going to cheat and use her magic again. Circling Halley, she studied the senshi before nodding satisfaction.
"Usually lasts about half a minute. If it had gone in your eyes or mouth, it would have lasted longer. And if," she added, remembering Parsifal, "you were tripping balls to start, that seems to accidentally prolong and enhance the experience. But that's only happened once."
Taking one final look at Halley's face and eyes, Ilmare smiled.
"I think you're good now. So, all right. Rock me."

Halley looked interested when Ilmare said she was the firs to describe what they were seeing, "I wonder, is this the first time you've done attacks just to see what they do? Like for science because that might be the difference?"
Halley liked investigating things so she usually liked to give feedback of what she was seeing, it might would be because of her ghost hunting interest.
She nodded when Ilmare said she was good, "Alrighty then!"
"As far as I know there's no adverse effects if it hits anything unusual. I've only used it on a youma so far - to be honest." Halley added.
The senshi stretched her hands a bit before she called her attack. "Superstitious Illusion!" She called and then kind of stood watching to see what would happen to Ilmare.eldritch stardust Sailor Scout Attack: Superstitious Illusions Halley casts her magic on her target and the magic begins to twist the target’s personal superstition into a reality, or so the target believes that’s what’s happening. The illusion of the target’s superstition is purely based on what the target believes in. This attack distracts the target by feeding into a fear, paranoia, or something else based on the player’s discretion. This attack can last for 25 seconds and be used 3 times; though if the player wants lingering side effects of the magic, they’re welcome to it.

Ilmare stood for a moment, wondering when the magic would hit. What form would superstitions as a magical attack take? Was it going to toss broken mirrors and black cats at her? Conjure up a ladder for her to walk under?
She was about to open her mouth to complain that she didn’t feel anything when she happened to glance down. Multiple ragged cracks laced through and littered the ground around her feet. In the back of her head, she could hear her child-self singing the rhyme and laughing. Though, she’d always been a little afraid that if she stepped wrong, she might actually hurt her mother.
Stumbling backwards in shock, Ilmare saw her foot land squarely on a crack. She let out an anguished groan as a brittle cracking noise filled her ears, sounding like bone fracturing. And she couldn’t get away, the cracks were everywhere. Every stumble, every mis-step, her ears were filled with the sounds of breaking bone. After a moment, she gave up on trying to get away and simply folded in on herself, huddling up into a little ball on the ground.
She couldn’t hurt her mother if she didn’t move.
