 Cache City, a place where humans and Digimon enjoy a peaceful coexistence. You won't find any aggressive
behavior is tolerated from either party with in the city walls. The ancient mechanical walls tower up towards
the clouds obscuring the surrounding lands and assures that everyone can forget about the dangers of the
sprawling wilds. That does not however mean the city is without some natural beauty. An amazing river runs through
the middle of town from the mountainous regions North of the city out towards the luscious fields in the South.
A multi-tiered city following the stream as the cascading waterfalls inform the architectural design. Many residents
can be seen relaxing along the banks in perfect little parks.
With in these wall you might come across a number of establishments run by both human and Digimon. Places like
the Digi-Lab where some of the top scientists in the entire Digital World are hard at work researching the data that
Vital Bracelets provide to them. Then there is the Boxing Brothers Gym run by Gaomon and Togamon, the only place
in town where you can typically train and even Digivole to see what your party is really made of. On any given day you
might see any number of players battling with each other in the state of the art battle arena, fully enclosed with an
Ultimate level projection shield. You may also get to spend some time at the Hatchery or the Digi-Farms, both facilities
are located on the grassy south side of town where you can spend time taking care of your Digimon and creating a
home for them as well as take the time to hatch newly formed Digimon.
Located near the middle of town you will be able to find the Ugoku Gaming Admin building. A large white building adorned with multiple columns similar to many
government building you would see in large cities in the Real World. Flanking the main door were a pair of large, armor wearing Digimon with great swords planted tip
down into the ground and an enormous shield hanging off their backs so still you could be forgiven for thinking they were statues. With in this building you could find
someone to help if you were having issues with something or just needed some directions to another location.
At each of the three main gates there were two more Digimon standing watch. One with great angel wings and a enormous key that they used to keep the gates
locked down for Tamers and Digimon who are not yet strong enough to venture out into those precarious regions. Standing at their side was an imposing stead,
covered from head to hoof in full plate armor. The winged equine fiercely defended the city from outside threats to help maintain the peace of the city. They are the
gatekeeps of the city and the last line of defense. Additionally it is their task to confirm that all Digimon entering the town maintained non threating forms.
Through the South gate as mentioned before you will find sprawling fields and lakes, a favorite location for early visitors to the Digital World. Towards the West Side of
the city you will find rolling hills that transition towards the North into large cliffs and the very mountain that the river in the middle of the city comes from. Finally the
East Gate leads out towards a more tropical landscape before meeting the Digital Ocean.

-Digimon must be Child level or lower while in the city. Digimon who appear to be Child level may be able to sneak past the
guards in a higher form if they can keep their power levels in check.
-The entry to the Digital World is on the North side of the city.
-There are sewers below the city but they are not currently open.
-Many building you will find are locked unless their is a business being run out of it. Those are probably private residents anyways.
-If in the Battle Brother's Arena battling please include the three Digimon you are using for the current battle in the format
for the post. You cannot attack with more than three Digimon in one post. You can change out Digimon between posts if your
established battle rules allow that.
-Tamers are expected to agree on the rules of a battle in OOC before entering the Arena (Or you can do it in character
if you want as long as it's established)
-No battles outside of the Arena, this is a safe zone as indicated by the Shield logo on the area photo.
-This is also a [HUB] location so you can enter and exit the Digital world from this area.
-Feel free to create NPCs to play with you in this area. You can also request others to play characters as well if you would like.

 The city was mostly a quite place so far apart from a few humans here and there and the Digimon that called it home the general atmosphere was one of waiting for something to begin. Suddenly screens all over the city as well as on the wrist of anyone wearing a Vital Bracelet suddenly lit up
***ATTENTION PLEASE*** ***ATTENTION PLEASE*** ***ATTENTION PLEASE*** ***ATTENTION PLEASE***
***PLEASE STAND BY FOR AN ANNOUNCEMENT*** ***UGOKU GAMING DIRECTOR DR. AVA SOMARA***
The pulsing banner faded away and was replace by the image of a pink haired woman in a white lab coat. She adjusted her goggles seemingly not noticing that feed was now live. Someone must have motioned to get her attention as she seemed to react, "Oh..OH are we Live!! Oh haha, well that's awkwa....never mind, Anyways, Hello there Tamers, greetings to where ever you are joining us from and welcome to official launch of Digimon Re:Horizons!!" As she took a beat to let that sink in and collect her thoughts you could hear a quiet cheer coming from behind her coming from something just out of view. "We are just as excited as you are to be finally launching the full experience tot the whole world and we just want to say thank you to our Beta testers. None of this would have been possible without you!!"
"Secondly you might have notice but we are coming to you live in the Digital World, in the heart of Cache City in the newly opened Digi-Coliseum!!" She paused again as a glimpse of cardboard moved across the bottom of the screen. She snapped her fingers in mid air before starting again, "I just realized I didn't introduce myself, sorry I was bit thrown off...doesn't matter. For those of you who don't know me I am The Director of Gaming Development for the Ugoku Gaming Company, Dr. Ava Somara. Hi there and I can't wait to meet you all in person... or at least in Digital Person haha."
She couldn't help but laugh at her own joke. Regaining her composure she continued, "Anyways, the reason you are all here. If you have not already used the Full-Dive Pods feel free to access them and join us in Re:Horizons."
"Even better than that in a very short amount of time we will be holding the Grand Opening Ceremony right here in this Coliseum and we want all of you to join us for the party!" A pair of box like arms flew up into the air, almost knocking Dr. Ava over. She adjusted he goggles again before starting back up again, "As you and your partner Digimon make your way to the Coliseum you will probably notice some booths and game along the way. Make sure you participate in all the activities as they are usually fabulous prizes for anyone who managed to win!! Keep an eye out for those!"
"Be sure to take in all the sights in Cache City. It's an amazing city filled with all sorts of knocks and crannies for you to explore, especially places like the Digi-Farms in the South of the city and the Digi-Labs not too far away from there." Ava spread her arms in a wide gesture, "No matter what you decide to do the world is open for you to explore... well some of it.... and we are ready to see your smiling faces!! It's time to Dive in!!!"

As the red banner faded away again the screens resumed their normal activity and Humans and Digimon alike resumed their activities some of which were getting ready for the first wave of Tamers and the opening ceremonies.

Logging into a new world,
The adventure starts.Monami began to fall through a virtual tunnel, surrounded by the binary digits of 0s and 1s. At the tunnel's end, a brilliant light beckoned. Drawing closer, the light intensified until everything was engulfed in a blinding white. Shielding her eyes, Monami found herself suddenly transported to a bustling city filled with players and Digimon. It looked like these occupants were moving around trying to get their bearings. She scoffed a bit and remarked, "Amateurs." Glancing down, she noticed her outfit had completely transformed according to her earlier selections. It was definitely more comfortable than the look she had chosen in the beta test. Looking up, she could see the username, MØN_7, hovering above her head. A common menu,
Shared among the player base.
Simplistic aproach.The tamer had decided against choosing a digivice style when selecting her character, opting instead to stick with the default client that came with the vital bracelet. With a swift motion, she lowered her holographic visor and summoned a menu with a flick of her hand. The menu displayed various options like: party, field guide, items, farm, messages, settings, and logout. Her attention was drawn to the party section, and she tapped on the space where the party button was located. Instantly, a popup emerged showing a lively 16-bit egg gif. The egg began to wiggle before cracks began to form on its surface. Hatching Digimon,
An inseparable bond,
Begins here anew.With a final jolt, the egg shattered into countless pieces. As if by magic, the fragments dissolved into thin air, revealing a petite Digimon with delicate wings resembling those of a bug. Monami wasted no time and swiftly began interacting with the interface, effortlessly maneuvering food items into the monster's virtual space and tidying up the aftermath. The efficient actions propelled the Digimon's growth, swiftly advancing it to its Child stage. In a mesmerizing display, the circular creature transformed into streams of data, only to reassemble its wireframe texture as Fanbeemon. The sprite on the menu screen couldn't contain its excitement and joyfully bounced around. Monami extended her hand, pressing and holding Fanbeemon's image to select the Digimon, then dragged it out into the empty air. In an instant, the Digimon vanished from the menu and materialized in the digital realm, right beside Monami. The insect Digimon exclaimed, "Monami, I've been waiting to meet you!"Never overstate,
Taking the time to converse,
With a new partner.The pair embraced briefly before engaging in friendly conversation. Monami understood the importance of building a strong connection with her Digimon from her beta test experience. While there would be plenty of time to strengthen their bond, she was determined not to miss this initial chance. It was clear that the upcoming event at the digi coliseum was going to be a significant moment for them. As holographic billboards illuminated the area, signaling the start of the event, they knew they had to be ready. The two exchanged looks, and Monami exclaimed, "Let's go, partner!" The insect nodded, and the two moved the way the holographic billboards had indicated. The first event starts,

Jeongmin's eyes slowly opened to a familiar environment. It took her a good few seconds to collect herself. Even if this wasn't the first time transmigrating, she still could not get used to the process. As soon as she was used to her new 'body' Jeongmin looked over her avatar options in the Digital World. She wrestled with the idea to wear a mask to hide her face or even change her face, but in the end she chose what she was wearing in the real world. The digital world felt too real and she didn't want to deal with the possible psychological ramifications of changing to her ideal face so easily. The mask options weren't to her tastes and she was worried about obstructiing her sight. Once she was as satisfied as she could be with her choices, Min hesitantly finalized her selections of avatar and digivice.
The next screen that popped up was about choosing her first partner for the game. Unlike her avatar selection, it took her almost no time at all choosing who she wanted as her first digimon partner. The hooded girl quickly scrolled through the options until a golden bladed digimon appeared. Jeongmin had fun having Zabumon as a partner during the beta testing and saw no need to make a change. Just as she was going to finalize her choice, the screen glitched out, bringing her back to the beginning of the selection screen. Confused by what happened, the girl simply repeated the same steps she had done before, thinking that it was an error on her part only for the system to bring her back to the beginning. She tried once more, this time selecting Sakuttomon, Zubamon's prior level and yet again it brought her back to the same place. The girl wouldn't budge on her decision, so she continued to try again and again... until something changed. The words 'ARE YOU SURE?' popped up on the screen. With no hesitation she clicked on the 'yes' option. 'ARE YOU SUPER SURE?' Now her confusion was slowly turning into annoyance. After selecting 'yes' again there was finally some progress. 'PARTNER CONFIRMED.' Little did she know that her selection for 'Zubamon' glitched into another digimon at the last second...
"Hmph! Took you long enough!" A digimon with a sprout on top of its head suddenly appeared above Jeongmin, resulting in it kicking her head. Well, it was more of a gentle tap to the confused girl more than anything. 'Wait, what?...' Her eyes darted towards the plant being. This wasn't what happened in the beta. She was supposed to be transported to Cache City where she would meet her partner. Instead Jeongmin was still in the registration area with some digimon she hadn't selected. "Who is this sassy lost child?" She mumbled to herself while pointing her finger at the little plant digimon, a mix of annoyed and baffled by the current situation... And where was the Zubamon she had selected? "Im not lost and I'm not a child! I'm your great Tanemon!" The little digimon huffed proudly. Before she could ask it anything else, both she and the digimon were teleported to Cache City.
Luckily for Min, the teleport from the registration area was less jarring than coming straight from the pod, so it took her no time to get used to the change. Besides she was far more concerned with what just happened. The tanemon mentioned that she belonged to her, so Jeongmin went to check her party from her vital bracelet and sure enough the little in-trainning digimon was there. Getting tired of waitng for her tamer to catch her bearings, the tiny tanemon started bolting in a random direction. "C'mon we have no time to lose! We got sum adventurin' ta do!" This had to be some mistake! Maybe she needed to contact a GM to fix this problem? Jeongmin still had more questions to ask her new partner too. "W-Wait!" The girl ran after the small digimon who had quite the head start.

The white light gave way to a tunnel of binary codes streaming all around him as the player was floating through the registration zone. Questions began to pop up in front of him, projected out of the Vital Bracelet. Choose your name "That's a easy one, we'll go with 'Lief_7' tried and true!" Registering...please wait...name available, approved... Choose your Digivice A bunch of options popped up on the screen including just using the Vital Bracelet as the Digivice. Lief wasn't entirely sure what the devices did but seems like it must be important. The D3 looked pretty cool, but the one that really caught his eye was something called a D-Tector. He selected the icon for that Digivice and it materialized in front of him. He was surprised that he didn't get to pick the colors, it must have used his what it knew about him to pick what it should look like, but he loved the white and gold base with the lime green accents. As soon as he grabbed it a brilliant blue light emitted from the device and a sense of all that was right in the world shook through Lief's now digital body.
Next up was a screen where he could change his appearance. Lief did not dislike how he looked but would like to look a bit fresher and get rid of his glasses in this world as well. While searching through options he settled on a Red scarf to add to his ensemble but left the rest of his outfit, jackets and all as they were, the new Tamer was sure there would be opportunities to change outfits later if he decided he wanted to. The new updates to his wardrobe materialized just like the Digivice had. Lief wrapped the scarf around his neck and removed his glasses immediately realizing he didn't even need them in this world!! Seems like it will be fun to find out how else his body might be different here.
The next menu was the one he was most curious about, Choose your Digimon. Due to the fact that he had not paid much attention to the Beta notes on the game he wasn't even quite sure what Digimon were outside of being the main name of the game. He knew they were creatures of some sort but beyond that he was a complete Noob to the concept. There was a search option if you knew what Digimon you were looking for or you could just look through the catalog. He scrolled through the options for a while not really knowing what any of these Digimon might be, for some reason the developers had not included images for these creatures. He thought it was a bit strange that all their names ended in '-mon'.
Lief's indecision was getting the better of him as he was getting to the end of the list of options. "Xiaomon...Yarmon...What the heck is a Yolkmon?? Like an egg Digimon? That thing must be super weak.... but also it could be funny to play the game with..." Lief pondered it for a bit, he did enjoy a good laugh, but would this cause other players to laugh at him? He was afterall already one of the older players he had seen from being in the cafe. After a beat he shook off the stress about what others would say and decided to go with Yolkmon! You have selected Yolkmon a Baby Digimon, if this correct? He waved his hand across the Yes icon and the registration guidance system continued.
Registration complete... please stand by for arrival in Cache City A menu now popped up with ads for thing to do and see in Cache City, the silver haired man thought this made for a pretty cool loading screen, he could even select the experiences to learn more about them. Digi-Farms, Digi-Labs...some sort of Gym, he could wait to see them all, but he needed to not get too distracted right now as the Opening Ceremony was going to be starting soon. The display change to a view of a massive landscape, suddenly Lief felt like he was moving down towards the ground rather than flying forward. "Oh...here we go!!" A large city seems to be his destination. As he hurdled towards the streets below the new Tamer braced for impact! "Awe man this is going to hurt!!" Lief closed his eye tight and put his hands out Infront of himself to soften the blow.
The crash he was expecting never came, instead there was the steady chatter of Tamers and NPCs all around Lief, he slowly opened one eye to see what had happened and why he was a Digital Pancake. Everything seemed fine, his feet had somehow landed on the ground and he was standing perfectly still, his arms still stiff as a board in front of him. "Not sure I'm going to get use to that." he whispered to himself as he began to get use to the feel of his body being in a new environment. Everything seemed so nice, the air was cool and clear, the sunlight danced through the occasional cloud and everywhere he looked their were happy smiling faces. "Wow they really did an amazing job with these environments, it almost seems more real than back home..." He stood for a moment in awestruck wonder by his surroundings. It may not have been as large as Houston but it was still an impressive city and not a car in sight!
As he was taking everything in he noticed in his peripherals a blue glow coming from the Digivice that he was still clutching in his hand. He turned it over to look at the screen and on it was a little green and yellow digital egg. The Tamer tried to touch the screen but nothing happened. "Hum maybe the buttons?" He tried every combination he could think of until suddenly a message popped up on the Vital Bracelet You selected Digitize...please stand by "I did what now??" The light on the Digivice glowed even brighter and a stream of binary flowed seemingly from the screen towards the patch of cobblestones in front of the man. What was going on??
The data kept moving through the air as a green and yellow egg that had been on screen formed in place. As the lights faded Lief reached down and picked up the egg. "Is this a Yolkmon? I figured it would be a little more sentient." A near by man in a suit gave off a short laugh before catching himself when he saw Lief's face, "Oh you were serious, sorry about that... uh no that is not a Yolkmon, that is a Digi-Tama or Egg. Forgive me I thought you were making a joke because of what Yolkmon looks like... uh have a great day and let Ugoku Gaming know if you have any questions we can assist with." Lief noted the Pink logo on the man's ID badge, a similar one had been on screen when Dr. Ava had been speaking before. As the man walked away Lief looked at the egg again, "A Digi-Tama, you don't say... well then little buddy, look like it's you and me for now." The Tamer turned towards and started walking to what must have been the Coliseum, a towering stadium near the middle of town, wanting to get a good spot for the Ceremony. ^^^ Current Outfit "The sky is vast

'What the heck?! How the heck is this fair?!' He was watching the people flying above him, as they travelled through the Digital Highway? Well, it looked like a highway to him and he was probably betting that everyone else would see him as the weirdo as he stood on what was best described as the 'walls' of the pathway. While everyone else seemed to be falling, or quite literally diving down into the Digital World here he was running, his bag swaying as he did and hair blowing in the wind. The male was practically going to be getting a slow start compared to everyone else, and he ended up jumping backwards a bit as...door seemed to block his path, before opening up allowing the groups Diving to fall through it. Parish jumped through the path, and picked up the pace, 'Why am I the only one who has to walk?! The Digi-Elf didn't say anything about that! I mean, not that I can really complain about getting some exercise...I need it anyway for therapy but HOLY!'
The Brown haired male was forced to put his foot up to stop himself, as the door in front of him refused to open and in glowing red letters said 'Access Denied!' And a tiny alarm started to go off in his head, telling him he needed to find another route as these digital constructs started to form around the gate making him kick off the door, and back a bit before looking to the left followed by the right before biting his lip and looking up. His eyes lit up as on the ceiling he saw a long pathway 'Sweet! Now I just have to...' He jumped in place for a second before hopping back a few times, his eyes locked on some of the constructs blocking the original path and charged at it, he thrust his leg out jumping and pushing his foot into it and then jumping into the hole. The moment he entered it he felt the gravity inside of it 'shift' pulling him onto the floor and allowing him to continue to move. He pushed a few of his bangs out of his eyes while letting out a sigh of relief, but kept moving.
The more he ran though, the less annoyed he felt that he didn't see anyone else that was actually having to take the long way. A smile had slowly began to form on his face, as the Excitement he was feeling earlier returned to him. His Vital Bracelet in the meantime, had a few notifications blinking on it, not that he would notice it since he was on the move. 'Error. Error' It continued to flash as he reached his left hand into his bag, stopping for a moment as he realized now would be the perfect time. [B}"There we go! Thats so much better! And nice! Its lighting up! I must be getting close! Hm?" [/B} He pulled his arm out of the bag and looked up, seeing another one of those Gates that people had been falling through earlier. 'Access Den.....Error...Error... Access Granted. '
He blinked as the gate finally decided to let him through, as it opened he hopped through only to feel something slam into his stomach, knocking the breath out of him for a moment and making his body instinctively wrap around the obstacle in question. He looked down seeing a fluffy orange Digimon latching onto him, and glaring up at him. He opened his mouth to speak and the glaring intensified, " You...alone..." The Digimon sniffled out, before Ethan could speak and with a sigh the brown haired male began to pet the Digimons head. " Sorry.. Sorry you've been stuck waiting. Lets go on then alright? Come on Rayna." The Orange Digimon, Rayna the Meicoomon nodded while clinging onto the body of its tamer and just silently stayed close to him as he took off running once more.
His Vital Bracelet started beeping as he received a call, he lifted it up and Rayna pushed the button for him. Bringing a warm smile to his face as the Silhouette popped up onto the screen," Alright! You're almost there! Looks like Rayna couldn't wait for you and decided to force her way to you, such a impatient little... Geez no need to glare at me! Dont worry, there isn't much to do about setting things up before arriving. One second...transferring... Adjusting.... There! " His eyes raised, and he noticed that there was now a floating name above him. He remembered setting up a Username on the Vital Bracelet, but this wasn't the one he had actually input." 'ParishTheThought' I figured it was the best name so I may have tweaked the one that you had actually typed in! Little Rayna there approved of it anyway! Oh! You're crossing the threshold!!!"
Just as the 'Digi Elf' was stating that, Parish stepped through a Gate and ended up walking through a 'Wall' and appearing on the other side of it, as if someone had turned on a cheat code and he blinked a few times. Thankfully it didn't seem like anyone had noticed it as strange and he let out a sigh of relief, before watching people landing randomly around the City. His attention turned to the Coliseum, "Lets head closer! I know you aint big on crowds, but who knows! Maybe youll make or reunite with a friend!" Parish let out a sigh and shook his head, as Rayna climbed up from his chest and sat on his shoulders.
"Yeah...Lets..Um..Go. We...can catch up...on the way?"
"Sure Rayna. Aint much to tell that I remember but... Lets go."

   Aspire flew through the city. Behind him, he could hear the thuds of Herissmon as his partner Digimon struggled to keep up. The day had been a whirl of activity already. Getting Herissmon was fun, but the small creature's enthusiasm when it learned that he didn't just have Apire as a partner, but all of Aspire's viewers as well was overwhelming. Herissmon had insisted on a full tour of Cache City. The next hour was a blur as they moved between shops and sights of the city taking it all in. The small porcupine creature was a benevolent host as he patiently explained history and shared knowledge with Aspire and his eager fans.Unfortunately, like normal, time had gotten away from Aspire. Now they were forced to run through the city trying to make it to the opening in time.
He used one hand to hold his hat on his head while the other was outstretched to display the chatbox from his live stream.

If he missed the opening ceremony, people would surely bail on his stream to go watch someone else. His eyes peaked down to the chat window again and saw the number. 250. That was more people watching right now than the total number of people who watched him last month put together. He pushed himself to speed up towards the ceremony. There was no way he was about to be late to the big event. People were counting on him.

Lief was still staring at the egg as he walked down the street not even paying enough attention to notice the citizens moving out of his way as to not cause a collision. "A Tama ... so what do I do with this? Is this a Digimon??" He took his sleeve of his jacket and rubbed it against the top of the egg in an attempt to get it to do something. Nothing happened. He placed it up next to his ear and gave it a shake like a kid with a Christmas present. "I don't hear anything, maybe it's a dud." The disappointed tamer was still heading towards the Opening Ceremony. He had decided he was going the right way as he could now hear the faint sound of music in that direction.
Despite his excitement about the festival and ceremony his mind was completely absorbed with the tama that he kept moving around in his hands. He was so distracted in fact that he didn't see the fast approaching curb. "AHhhhh!!!" As the man tripped over the curb the tama went up in the air. Despite his best efforts he couldn't do anything to stop it from flying down the street until it cracked against the ground. "Oh crap!!" Lief didn't know what to do, as soon as the gg hit the ground a digital stream emerged from it the next moment what appeared to be egg whites began seeping out of the now visible crack. He hurried over to the now surely ruined egg trying to scoop up the egg white off the street and put the back in the egg, visibly stressed by the situation at hand. "Oh man, oh man, oh man... five minutes in the game and I've already ruined it!! I should just log out now before I embarrass myself...""Hehe"Lief froze for a second, he could have sworn a sound had come from the goo he was trying to scoop up. After a moment he started trying to scoop it up again."Hehe stop that....it tickles!!" Ok Lief was sure that time that something had spoken. The slime and egg started laughing again. Lief dropped it and stood up quickly, the egg hit the ground again and both halves flew off of what appeared to be a yolk!! Although it wasn't just a yolk, it had eyes and a mouth, a mouth that was currently yelling at the shocked tamer,"Hey what's the big idea?? Why you drop me like that? That's so rude, I'm just a baby you know!! I could have been hurt.Lief could not believe what he was seeing, not only was this yolk talking to him, but it could speak English?? Was this what a Digimon was? Honestly it was a bit silly, but still kind of cute in a strange way.
"Who...I mean what are you??" The slime ball stopped for a moment at the sound of his question, "You don't know who I am?? I can't believe that, I though everyone knew me... well no matter, the name is Jayzen and I'm Yolkmon!! Oh can you put that shell back on my head?? I'd like to take it with me!" Lief just nodded at the request and hurried to comply, " Uh here you go it, is that better?" he placed the green and yellow egg shell right on top of the Digimon's head. "So Jayzen, that's a cool name... I guess we are friends now? Um I'm heading this way, is that ok with you??" The Yolkmon had been adjusting the shell using little bubbles and looked up at where Lief had gestured. "Friends?? Of course we're friends!! We're partners now, I go where ever you go, that Digivice you have is our link. I can feel you through it, I even think I can sense what you are thinking. I've been waiting for you for a long time! Let's go!!" The slime started moving towards Lief. It was like a slug trying to cross a road. He stopped and chuckled, "UH... maybe you should carry me, I'm not very quick yet...."Lief of course complied but was a little grossed out by the sliminess of Jayzen.
As they kept walking down the street they were asking each other question trying to get to know each other better. Jayzen was confused about what a job was when Lief brought it up, while Lief had no idea what Digimon Families, levels or attributes where. They both had a lot to learn about each other's worlds. As they were getting closer the music was getting louder, Soon the Lief could see booths, it looked a lot like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo only a bit smaller. There was food, games and event contests where you could show off your fashion. They watched as a boy and his green rabbit Digimon won what appeared to be a three-legged race. Yolkmon got all excited watching the race. The fashion contest seemed to be in full swing, the crowd seemed to be cheering loudly for a certain tamer that Lief couldn't quite make out but he thought he caught a glimpse of some dark hair.
As they were walking past a balloon pop game Yolkmon jumped at the sound of what he called a Pupumon popping. Then Lief heard a rumbling noise behind the shell that Yolkmon was now fully hiding inside. "Are you...hungry? Is that a thing?? Do Digimon eat?" Yolkmon hopped as best as he could, "Yep we sure do...we need food to keep our energy up and help us process data! Let's get some of that Digi-meat!!" Lief agreed with a quick head nod and they ordered two Digimeats. The tamer and Digimon found a nice bench to sit on in the park and Yolkmon dug right into his meal. Lief was a little more hesitant. Could he even eat this food? What would it taste like? More importantly what is it made out of?? Despite his questions he decided to cautiously give the meat a try. As soon as that first bit of meat hit his tastebuds his whole face lit up. "Wow... as a Texan it takes a lot for me to say this... but this might be the best Barbeque I have ever tasted... how does it taste so good?? How do they make it??" Even though he had asked some questions he didn't really care about answers as he enthusiastically devoured the rest of his meat stick.
Both tamer and Digimon finished their Meat and sat back against the back of the bench, completely satisfied with their endeavor. "Oh man.... I think i'm going to like it here!" Yolkmon man gave a huge grin and laughed at the tamer. Then his face changed and he looked like he might throw up. Lief on instinct placed both hands under his mouth to catch any puke, but it never came. Instead Yolkmon began to glow and a steam of binary emerged from Lief Digivice and completely encapsulated Jayzen. "Yolkmon Digivolve toooo...... Fluffymon!!"
Lief just about fell over, where once there had been a runny egg and yolk there now stood a funny looking bird. "Wha....what was that?? And who are you?? Where did Jayzen go??" the bird gave off a big grin as if the answers we obvious. "Human's are so silly, I am Jayzen... I just Digivolved!! Thanks to that delicious meat I was able to grow even stronger! I'm called Fluffymon now... oh well I'm still called Jayzen, but this form is Fluffymon!! What do you think? And look I have legs now so walking should be a breeze!" Lief didn't know what to think, he was glad his friend was ok and the lack of slime was an improvement, but these Digimon were too weird! "Alright then, whatever you say I guess. Nice new form...I guess this, what did you call it, Digivolving is normal here?" Lief started wondering if he could DIgivolve? What would he become?? Maybe like a large Dinosaur? Or a Yeti or something. Taht would be so cool. The pair continued their conversation as Jayzen spent more time educating Lief about the world of Digimon.

It felt like she was floating, and for all she knew she was. As Camden felt her consciousness drift into the new, virtual space she could remember it feeling like she was floating in a pool, not violent, but she could feel herself being gently pulled towards something. Opening her eyes she watched as she was guided through the virtual space of zeroes and ones and landed on a lone platform with various screens floating about. She checked herself, making certain all of her fingers and such made it through the dive process. After a small sigh of content she clicked on her vital bracelet, the very control of the game, and the first window to pop in would be the customization window. She would never admit to anyone that the outfit she wore today was just bought so she would look cool her first day logging in. Despite being intrigued by some of the options she could customize herself with, she chose to click the sync option, which would match her virtual form with what was scanned in the pod.
"Aye..." she whispered under her breath like a affirmation. The following windows to appear before her were to pick her partner, and she knew who she would pick. Because of the Beta test, she searched for the option to continue with her partner from that time, Terriermon. The excitement of seeing the little Digimon again filled her digital heart as she scrolled, "Where are ye' buddy..." There were so many more Digimon than before, a lot of them she didn't even recognize. She finally came across Terriermon's younger form, Gummymon. She smiled in relief and clicked on the little green baby. However, as she clicked she noticed that instead of clicking she scrolled the page instead. She had ran into this problem with her phone...and the self order menus at restaurants...actually more than should be listed... She grumbled under her breath, her real life issue had followed her here.
She began to try and slowly click the virtual screen, yet somehow it continued to slide instead of click. She grunted and tried multiple times, even scrolling on purpose as to see if doing the reverse would help. After so many finger flicks it finally clicked. Wanting to move on to get to the main hub and see Terriermon, or at least Gummymon, she quickly clicked the final confirmation controls before the Registration Complete appeared over her screen. She only hopped on her heels a few times before she felt herself being teleported once more, only this time she was able to watch herself sky dive into this new world. Something that would normally terrify her, she felt breathless in the best way,"I'm here! WAHOO!" she quickly covered her mouth, was anyone even around to hear her as she was jetesing toward the hub?
She landed and appeared to be shuffled in with other players that had been logging in. She tip tapped through the crowd as carefully as she could, a few excuse mes here and there, before she made to a fairly open space on the sidewalk outside the welcome center. She attempted to divide her attention to take in her new, digital environment, it appeared there was a opening festival not too far from the main gate, but she had something to do at long last. She opened her menu once more and saw a pixelated Digitama on the screen. She quickly clicked the button to activate and materialize him.
The pixels began to dance around the screen and she watched them swish off of her menu and out before her. As a form came into being she held out her hands to catch him, beaming a bright smile. The light began to fade from the form and she couldn't help but cheer,"Gummymon, aye so good to meet cha again! I promise we're goin' to-" she came to pause as the form in her hands looked up at her. Small and round, with golden fur and floppy ears,"I....o' r'ye?"

The Tamer couldn't help but be slightly amazed as he and his Meicoomon Rayna walked around the area taking in the sights of the Grand Opening Festival and all the Carnival Style games that had been going on. The two talked as they walked, mostly with him trying to get to know his new partner Digimon whom apparently used to be a entirely different Digimon of his. And was just lucky to be able to 'force' their way into the Digitama that had been selected as his Digimon partner. Albeit, neither of them could actually remember what Digimon Rayna had been previously. " So, what do you wanna do first before we head into the Collisuem? Surely we have enough time to do a few things after logging in? Especially when everyone is just kinda having fun right now?"
Rayna patted the side of his head, and responded to him happily. Since she was riding on his shoulders she didnt have to speak to loudly, and since she was being a bit shy she couldn't help but be a bit reserved with how she spoke, "Um...Well, I kinda wanna play that Balloon pop game over there...I dont...Dont know what the prize is...can we?" The Digimon was starring at the game of chance so to speak, it was called Stinger Pop. As the Tamer squinted his eyes at it, he couldnt help but smile and nod to his Digimon. Who responded enthuisiastically as they started to head into that direction. A Man was loudly giving out instructions as people went about 'trying' their luck.
As they approached, Rayna climbed down from his shoulder and stood on the 'pedestal' so to speak, and she grabbed some of the darts after they made sure it was okay for her to be the one taking part in it instead of him. He watched his Digimon happily and enthusiastically throw darts at the Balloons for this 'Pupumon' themed contest, and while she played Ethans green eyes gazed around the area they were in at all the other contests going on, there was this cool 'Avatar' Themed Contest where someone dressed up as what they thought their ideal Digimon Tamer would be like. Taking advantage of the Game Like Character Creator, that sadly he didnt have access too but thought made things a bit more interesting in the long run. Especially with the wide variety of people he had already seen taking part in the Stinger Pop game as well as just walking past him. His gaze then turned back to the Balloon game, as his Meicoomon grumbled and whinned when balloons she popped didnt happen to give her any form of reward outside of that satisifying POP noise.
"Ya know Rayna...Keep playing, I'm gonna rant a tiny bit... I miss these kinda Festival games, I know a few Amusement Parks have them. But I aint really big on large crowds so going to those is incredibly stressful...Probably the same for you right? But...I have vague memories of throwing darts at Balloons like this, winning small plushies...winning these tiny Pictures in White paper frames that were sometimes good quality and sometimes horrible... Heh..I miss it ya know? Too bad there isn't one of those ring tosses around here, thatd be good. Oh hey theres a three legged race over there.... " It was like he was unintentionally changing the subject from his own thoughts and memories.
Eventually Rayna got tired of losing, and seeing someone else win made her throw the dart she had just picked up back down and she buried her head into her tamers chest, he reached down patting her head, "There, there. Lets try one of the other games... Lets do the three legged race okay?" The Digimon whinned but eventually nodded, and the two took part in the three legged race together. She had to 'hold' back a bit on her speed since she technically isnt a Rookie/Child Digimon like the rules stipulate. But, thankfully they were able to make it all the way through to the end! Beating the person who had won the Pupumon Stinger Pop content making the Meicoomon wish to brag about it, but her tamer scolded her for the thought. They ended up trading prizes with someone who won the Avatar Contest, and he smiled happily as a Digimon appeared on his Vital Bracelet before it moved to the Digivice on his other wrist for safe keeping.
"Uh oh, looks like we've run out of time Rayna. We gotta hurry into the Collisuem!" As he watched the Digimon move, the alert started on the Vital Bracelet and as curious as he was about what this 'Level 3' threat was he knew that it wasnt his job to investigate and since it was the so called Opening Day he figured it might be wise to actually follow the rules this time. The Silloute of his Digi-Elf appeared on the Bracelet again, but didnt say anything as he scooped up his Digimon and hurried into the Coliseum with a happy expression on his face. Once inside, he decided not to sit down in one of the seats but instead fo find a wall and lean against it while enjoying some of the Carnival style festival food with his Digimon. Funnel Cakes are occasionally enjoyable right?

"Wow so you're a Baby stage 2 Digimon, some times called in-training? That's interesting... and you are saying you can get even bigger? That's wild, when humans get bigger they still basically look the same but you look completely different." Fluffymon closed both eyes for a moment and tilted his head or body, which ever it was, "Well I might get bigger, usually Digimon with Tamers are able to Digivolve even further, but it seems to have something to do with their bond as friends and partners...so I guess what I'm saying is, it's all your fault if I don't Digivolve further!!" The little bird was now glaring at and standing on top of Lief who had fallen off the bench. With his leg now being used as a branch Lief tired to recover, but he had not expected such feistiness out of the little mon. Fluffymon chuckled and returned to smiling, Lief shook his head, "You're a little psycho huh? Alright then... I'll do my best, let's be the best we can!!" The Digimon had jumped off of him and Lief was dusting himself off as he got up from his knees.
As he was getting up the bracelet on his wrist started beeping, "Huh? What's going on now?" It was an announcement from Ugoku Gaming. The robotic voice was saying the Ceremony was suppose to start soon! They needed to hurry along, although they were almost there, Lief could see the guards outside the front entrance. It wasn’t a very long announcement but it did mention something strange about a level 3 threat, must have been a part of the game? Maybe it was setting up some low level Digimon for them to fight once they get outside of the City. Lief shrugged, ”I guess that’s our queue, come on you ball of feathers, let’s go see what this is all about.” He gestured from Fluffymon towards the entrance to the arena.
The pair wandered towards the stadium they could see other tamers were doing the same, everyone seems excited to see what was going to happen. Jayzen, who was doing more of a hop flap action than actual walking, seemed to have decided it was a good time to chirp a little tune. It wasn’t anything Lief recognized, he figured these Digimon must be programmed with thousands of hours of motions and reactions to make them feel so life like. It was also possible it was just a really good AI or something, not that it mattered, whatever it was he was enjoying the experience so far. Something so simple as meeting a friend and enjoying a fair had really turn his day in a positive way after and uninteresting day at work.
They were almost at the entrance now and were surrounded by tamers with all sorts of Digimon queuing up to pass through the gates. Lief grabed Jayzen and placed him up on his shoulder, ”Stay up here for now so we don’t get separated.” The bird let off a little trill of agreement and they continued moving toward the gate. On either side of door there stood a giant suit of armor, really it made for a pretty cool set piece to set the mood for a coliseum. Wait that wasn’t it, Lief realized that the statues seemed to be moving ever so slightly, were they…Digimon? Can Digimon get this big?? Suddenly one of the statues opened his eyes and then Lief knew for sure. It reached the gauntlet on the end of a heafty arm out and grabbed something out of the other line. It was a Tamer!! What was going on? Why was the tamer being lifted into the air. ”Firewall breech detected, please De-Digivolve your Digimon to the correct level for a level 4 firewall. Comply immediately or prepare to be logged out, so says Ugoku Gaming!” The noticeably frightened fumbled to grab their Digivice, dropping it before somehow knocking it back into their own hands with a swift and luck kick. They pointed their device at crowd where they had been picked up. ”Ae-a-a-Aegiomon…D-d-de- de-Digivolve back to Elecmon please…please and hurry please!!” As a light flashed in that area the boy was put back on the ground and immediately started apologizing to the guard who told him thank you for complying and resumed their status of impersonating a statue.
”Wow that looked rough, what happened there? Why did that big Digimon attack the boy and whatever partner he had…and why did he force them to De-Digivolve?” Lief was whispering to Jay not wanting to draw the attention of those things as they were in the process of passing them. The bird who had looked unconcerned with the whole situation chirped before explaining. “Those a Knightmon, they are Perfect Digimon, also known as Ultimates and they are the guards of official Ugoku Buildings in the city. Along with Clavis Angemon and Maildramon they are charged with protecting this city and enforcing the rules including the make sure both the safe zone and firewall rules are complied with. This city is a Firewall level 4 which means all Tamer Digimon must be Rookie or Child form or lower. That Tamer’s Digimon was a Champion or Adult form which is against the law here.” Lief’s head was spinning with all the info as the Digimon finished the word vomit. ”Oh….ok I guess I understand….although you may need to give me a refresher later in case I make a mistake. It doesn’t look like I want to be on their bad side.”
Entering the main part of the stadium Lief could see that it was decorated much like the outside of the building with balloons and banners or all kinds. There was seating anywhere you could think to be, in the stands, on what was probably normally the field and even some extra folding chairs scattered here and there for any potential overflow seating. On one end of the field level seating Lief noticed a stage with a podium, that would probably be where Dr. Ava would be soon. ”Let’s go get a good seat, maybe we can get a chance to thank the director for this opportunity!” Not wanting to seems too eager or be too exposed to open space the Tamer chose a spot on the third row from the stage. He noticed that not too many of the tamers who entered had select to sit in the field seats yet, most had taken the stairs to higher levels of seating. The others in his section seemed to include a few people around his age or a bit older wearing suits and UGC ID cards and also what appeared to be some members of the media. Was he in the wrong section? Why had no one stopped him? Was it because he was older than the average player? Did they think he was part of the company? Or was Lief just over-thinking the seating and everything was fine? Fluffymon had decided to sit in Lief’s lap while he was panicking which snapped him back to reality when he felt the little mon tucked his legs below his body and closed his eyes to take a quick nap. For some reason this calmness seemed to take the edge off of the man’s anxiety and was able to sit back and wait for the main event to begin.
