Mechelen was on a patrol with Almere, and it was a lovely night. She had absolutely nothing to complain about, and was just…glad for the company. After all the stress from the Code…they needed just a chill night together. And so far, so good.
“Hopefully we won’t run into anything too bad tonight…though, sometimes I do just wish I could use my magic on someone for fun…and it not be a life or death situation, you know? Ugh. Almere I can’t wait for you to get magic of your own…it’s going to be so fun to see what yours can do!”
If she kept with the spoon…maybe she would…stir up trouble? It was a funny thought, but she didn’t hate it.
The feeling of a chaos aura made her head spring up and towards it, like a deer scenting danger…but.
“...It’s someone weaker than me…do you think we should go and see if they’re up to no good or…just leave it?”
Mechelen figured Almere would want to deal with it, but she wanted to make sure.

Almere wanted magic so badly, but even with all of the training that she'd been trying to do, she was still here with the same little spoon and nothing else. She did think that she was making the most of it, though. She'd already helped to save a world an everything! Also, if all else failed, she had her imagination, which could turn the spoon into a sword, and her and Mechelen into the most powerful people in the universe no matter what her cousins said. "I hope it's something interesting," she said, holding her spoon. "I like baking, but I don't know if I need baking magic? I'm trying to be a paladin over here!" Which meant that when she felt the creeping feeling of Chaos in the back of her head, of course she jumped to her feet. "Yes! We need to make sure everything's okay," she said.

Everything was, in Valeria's opinion, just fine. The people she'd been draining were already unconsious, or damn near close to it, a small group of homeless people tucked away in the park with a small fire going in order to keep warm. The city park had little set ups for people to grill on, made of bricks and grating for the food to grill on, they were more often than not used by the homeless to keep warm. Anyone who came to the park to party, and grill food, brought there own little grill. These things were dirty, and this one was no exception to that, it was filled with the burning remains of news papers, leaves, and some glossy magazine which seemed determined to not go down so easily - even as it's edges darkened and curled inward.
Already there was an orb of energy collecting in her hand, which was held above the homeless group, she wasn't going to risk touching any of them and having them rouse just enough to attack her - she didn't want to fight and hurt them. She just needed some energy fro mthem and she'd be on her way, hunting down more people like them. It was easy to grab from them, call help if it was needed, and she could head for the red light district and do more good.
Feeling energy signatures, knights, she didn't stop what she was doing though she did pause for a moment or two. Waiting to see if they'd get closer...and they did - no surprise really. Two against one...

Mechelen was half afraid that Almere would suggest that they go over. Her friend was so into all of this, and she couldn’t be mad but…still.
Heading towards the feeling, she realized that she had been wrong in her initial assessment, and it was not someone weaker than her, but someone on the same level which…okay it didn’t really matter. Together her and Almere could absolutely take care of themselves but…
Still.
She froze when she saw that the dark clad, pink haired woman was actually up to no good. It…
“You were right, Almere…I’m glad we came. Yo! Leave those people alone. Didn’t anyone ever teach you manners?”
She summoned her small tapestry and, not for the first time, wished that it was something more impressive. Not to say she didn’t like her magic but…she wished that her weapon was more impressive.
“If nobody has, we’re happy to help.”

Oh. Almere knew, in theory and a little bit from experience, that the Negaverse was a group of ruffians. Still, this was not the scene that she wanted to see. These people had been doing their best to make warmth and a life for themselves in the worst kind of circumstances, and then someone had come along and- She seethed. "Stop, fiend," she cried, holding out her spoon. She wished that it was bigger, and stronger, and that she could help these people more and be a hero in reality and not just her imagination, but that was okay. She would do her best. She would be brave and strong, against all odds. She had a friend at her side, at least. "She's right. Remember you manners, and return the energy to these innocents." She took half a step forwards in her dainty shoes, eyes narrowed. "Or else face the price."

Of course they were self righteous, becuase order was always that way, they always thought they were right and the Negaverse was always the bad guys and doing something wrong. She wondered if they even thought their side capable of doing anything bad, or if they'd excuse bad behavior on their own side. It was a thought, one she might entertain later, right now she had two knights to deal with. Turning from what she was doing the pink eyed corrupt held up her hand where the orb of energy was held - and sent it to subspace.
"They can regain their energy, they're already sleeping so they'll regain their energy." It wasn't that big of a deal, she wasn't taking starseeds. This wasn't a life taken which couldn't be regained...this was a bit of energy. If nothing else they'd sleep well, sleep the night through, and if they were lucky they might even wake up feeling more refrshed than usual.
"You're the ones interupting things, and being loud when they're sleeping. Talk about manners...I suspect neither of you have any either." Stepping away from the group of slumbering, and drained, homeless the corrupt let her hair trail after her as the click of her heels brought her closer to the two knights. It might be two against one but she had magic, one of these two didn't, and she could teleport if she absolutely needed to. Her magic though...it was useful and would help her here against these two.
