Godiva was sitting on the roof of the scoops ice cream shop. She missed her twin, it was lonely without her other half. Her and Ingrid had almost always done everything together, even when she didn't agree with it.

But that was missing now. She was listening to a song tonight about choosing where to go. The choices were laid out in front of her was obvious she just needed to choose and had a coin to flip with her.

Something told her she knew which choice was right. "Heads Order, Tails Chaos. . . " She muttered flipping the coin, catching it midair and slapping it on the back of her hand.

"Kata please forgive me." She whispered. When she moved out of her parents she convinced her younger sister to sign a lease and she'd split the rent with her to help pay for it.

However, tonight she had no plans on returning if she was successful and had left Kata a note at home. "We'll find a way to be together again as a family. . . I don't know how but we will."

She was looking around now she just needed to find someone to help her.

It wasn't Albite that patrolled that night. Any citizen out at night wouldn't know how to tell the hulking muscleheads draped in black and green apart, however.

The senshi that lingered atop the ice cream shop could, however, and the youma wearing Albite's likeness had no intention of passing her by. It had spent long enough imitating the people it knew that it could copy Albite's swagger perfectly, could render the way that boy could look up and flash his charming smile at anyone that caught his interest. The creature that looked like a senshi strode to a stop at the entrance to Scoops, where it could look up at the senshi on its roof.

"S'up?" It called in Albite's voice. "You make a nice view from down here, but how 'boutcha come down here so we c'n talk?" It gestured broadly, insistent.

Perhaps this one would heed the aura that haunted it and try to dust it instead. Maybe this one would refuse the offer wholesale and it would have to pursue, though it lacked the finesse to maintain such an image at the pace that senshi so often commanded. Or perhaps this one would prove obedient.

If nothing else, senshi were forever unpredictable to Headache.

No worries I know life's been rough for you

Godiva heard a voice, it cut through her thoughts. She paused looking to see if she knew who it was. Though they wanted her to come down and talk, she hadn't met this one but something seemed a bit off.

Though, she was pretty sure it wouldn't matter who or what she asked for help from. She sighed and decided to make a rather flashy downward entrance as she jumped from the rooftop landing on her feet shoes together.

"Hello." She said still looking at the senshi as if something was bothering her as she looked at the corrupt senshi. Her arms were crossed for now. "I dare say I was looking for someone to help me; so your timing is impeccable."

Seemed Waru's friendly approach caught plenty of flies. Headache looked forward to having the girl's starseed liberated from her chest in short order.

Headache wasn't the master of Albite's mannerisms, however; trying to display his cocky bravado while rehearsing his voice was a challenge that Headache did not meet with much grace; sometimes, the senshi speaking to Godiva looked expressionless where his words belied much more feeling. It proved far easier to emulate Faustite in situations like these.

"Albite, at your service," it introduced, then bowed as best it could. Straightening up, it added, "what c'n I do ya for?"

If this one was planning an ambush, then Headache knew it would have to walk into the first blow. Such was Faustite's husband's stupidity.

Godiva tilted her head softly as the other introduced themselves. "Godiva."

She was hesitant though she was able to introduce herself fairly firmly though but it came out kind of awkward. Godiva knew what she was looking for and took a breath as she tried to gather up her courage to ask, "Well, my sister has joined your side and after much consideration . . ."

There was a small pause as she struggled for the words best to use, ". . . . well, I want to join her. I miss my twin." She admitted and the continuing while she tried not to look sad as she added, "My brother also, I believe to be on your side and I'd like to reunite with him as welll."

She closed her eyes and was working on keeping her composure and her will to be with her family on the negaverse side. Reminding herself this is what she wanted mentally as she finished out her request; "Do you know someone who can help me make that a reality?"

The fact the negaverse had tore her family into two sides -- was difficult to the say the least but now she had to choose.

'Well, I want to join her. I miss my twin.'

Headache could not have asked for a better gift. Not only was this wretched White Moon thing begging to become part of the Negaverse, but it could force Faustite to handle one of his least favorite styles of corruption. That, alone, was worth taking this one up on her offer.

Headache cared little about the familial ties this one had — that was a concern for Faustite, not it. But it was more than obliged to summon its tablet device and instruct whoever was listening to go fetch Faustite. The terrible excuse for a sovereign barely understood technology on the best of days; Headache couldn't expect him to answer his own tablet calls with any measure of competence.

Soon enough, the General-King burst into being in a fit of fire and smoke. Headache then scrambled its appearance from Albite to a perfect imitation of Faustite, which then smiled in a smug manner.

"He'll help you reconnect," Headache explained, motioning with a clawed hand toward the increasingly perplexed-looking General-King.

Faustite, staring wearily at his personal youma, signed in a flurry. What the ******** is this about?

"She wants to join the Negaverse," Headache responded in Faustite's voice. "Said her family's with us."

Faustite rolled his eyes, his exasperation leaving him as a fit of smoke. You know I hate this s**t. Should've called Jet or Axinite or — ******** anyone else.

But Headache only looked on, arms folded, expectant.

The senshi watched on in awe and confusion. The fact that the person she was talking to just shape shifted into the person that had been called and stated he'd help her reconnect.

She was trying very hard not to be bewildered, but she was curious. "Wait, wait, wait how'd you do that?"

She asked the youma before looking over to the general king who seemed -- not thrilled about this was putting it lightly.

"I mean . . ." She didn't want to put anyone out but at the same time the general king's expression seemed as if this was just something to annoy him with rather than someone who was actually interested in gaining another member, "Well you see, I really don't want to be a bother -- I'm sure my twin is fine without me . . . But like . . . I feel like I'm missing half of myself . . . ."

She looked over towards Headache, "I don't know if either of you have siblings much less a twin and . . . would understand."

Trying to be helpful she added, "My sister I'm looking for is Ingrid and my brother is known as Victoria. I don't know if either of you have seen or heard of them . . ." There was an amount of nervous energy coming from her and she was trying not to babble on.

"Only youma have this power," Headache replied smugly. It all but gloated over the way that it so easily disrupted Faustite's schedule for someone willingly coming over to the Negaverse. All the better that it had the senshi squirming and making excuses for herself as if Faustite knew what it meant to be sympathetic. If his bonded was anything to be proud of, he would have shirked such petty human sentiments long ago. But, these days, seldom was he like his old master in all respects.

Senshi deserved to suffer, and Headache delighted in the fact that this one now had to justify herself to someone who could have easily made the choice for her. Headache stood by as an interpreter while it admired its work.

For all that Faustite was ire aimed toward Headache's irritating shenanigans, he was not oblivious to what the girl was saying. It was a strange haunt of a situation brought to his attention, and one that he had never bothered mentioning to Headache. Swallowing his rage, he watched her as she stumbled through her explanation for choosing such a path for herself.

Faustite wondered what it would've been like if he were faced with that same situation — if his brother wasn't dead, but had simply gone off to join the other side. If he could still chat with Errol, going by whatever new name, perhaps even in a Knight's guise or a senshi's obtuse outfit, and they could reconnect again. If Faustite had that choice, could he cast aside his allegiance to the Negaverse, his husbands, for a chance to live with his brother again? Even to consider such a scenario pained him.

Whatever this girl had for herself, it wasn't worth as much as the siblings that were drawn to the Negaverse.

I don't recognize the names, Faustite signed toward Headache, and Headache was quick to voice its master's sign language for the girl. But that's not surprising. Don't get out much when you're on fire.

I'll help you, but the White Moon tries to clutch away your memories if you step over faction lines. If your goal is to rejoin your siblings, make sure you've written down everything you can possibly remember about them. Give it to Headache
, he pointed at the youma that wore his face so comfortably, and I'll bring you in. He'll give it to you afterward, in case you forget those important details or it gets lost in your change of garment somehow.

The senshi looked curiously at Headache who said only youma can have that power, "That's cool!" She said knowing it was probably weird to be in awe of a monster but still it was something comforting while she tried not to fidget.

She looked curiously at Faustite when he said he didn't get out much because he was on fire, she was curious about it and wanted to learn more another thing to pull her from her awkwardness of the request and when he said that he'd help a small smile and quick nod came from the senshi.

She pulled from her subspace a small book with a lock on it. "I've been keeping notes, on the research I was doing before I made this choice." She said trying not to sound sad. "Ever since my sister stormed out on me after her rash choices and trying to get me to join without knowing what I was walking into."

She opened it and added a few more notes including Victoria and Ingrid but also questions about Faustite she wanted to help the generous general king. She sighed, "I knew I could lose my memory thanks to being able to catch a few of the officers who don't outright fight first. I was lucky probably in that and that was probably the most useful in readying myself for this day."

She offered the book to Headache after she locked it with the key on a necklace wrapped around it carefully. "I just hope my sister and brother haven't forgotten about me."

She knew it was for them and she stood there trying to relax. "When you're ready, I am."

She was sensible enough to write information down. Faustite respected that.

Headache received the journal, both hands dropping with it as if it weighed a dozen times more than it actually did. The youma compensated for it, however, and managed to keep the item steady.

Faustite thought her familial situation sounded complicated, but if she was motivated to join solely by having her blood on Faustite's side of the fence, then it only made tactical sense to admit her. She would be more likely to stick with them, and having more of their blood in the Negaverse may motivate the other two to keep performing or aim higher.

He harbored a margin of doubt, however. He did not know the two that this senshi sought, nor did he know if her true intentions aligned with or diverged from her stated ones. It might all backfire on him if she was trying to play double agent.

Copy the notebook, Faustite signed to Headache, then dismissed the youma with a wave of his hand. It wouldn't take that awful collection of bugs long to snap photos of the thing — surely no more than the time it would take Faustite to corrupt and reorient her.

With Headache dismissed, Faustite placed a hot hand on the girl's clothed shoulder. With only a thought, they were no longer in the confines of Destiny City.

The landscape shifted into that of a dark office, half-hewn into a cave and half-built with metal bookshelves and wooden trusses in the ceiling. The floor was of an ancient stone, while the walls were cleverly hewn rock with some built-in shelving and a smattering of deep violet crystals to offset the moody darkness in the space. It felt warm, too — just as warm as the half-youma who had touched her but a moment ago.

Other furniture populated the office, including an ornate metal desk encrusted with rubies and onyx and inlaid with thick glass. Two chairs sat before it, made of elegantly wrought titanium into rustic Victorian shapes and mounted with more of the same jewels. They each sported a black seat cushion made of a heat-resistant plastic. On the other side of the desk was an ominous-looking throne, echoing many of the same design sentiments, but they appeared skewered with a fit of jagged metal blades. Little cover the desk beyond a writing mat, an ink well, an empty teacup, and a small stand for a metal nib pen.

In the corner was a plush writing desk with a mismatched stool. On top of it sat a silver platter with a teapot, set of mugs, a carafe of cream, and a pot of sugar.

Since she didn't speak sign language, he didn't try to speak with her. Instead, he grasped one of the guest chairs by its apex and turned it around so it faced away from the desk. With a beckon, he motioned her to have a seat.

She watched headache with curiosity as the dopple ganger youma almost dropped the book. It wasn't that large and the notes weren't terribly interesting, mainly the negaverse names she intended to remember along with her sister and brother who were already there.

She'd only put things she thought would help, but not trouble anyone else. Not to mention she'd also jotted down her concerns with which the way her sister joined. But it was an easy enough remedy when there was research done.

When Faustite placed a hand on her shoulder and suddenly she found herself in another --- plane? It was disorienting traveling like that she made a face and looked at the general king, "I assume you get use to that."

She decided if there was going to be any conversation at this point, it probably needed to be yes or no to make it easier to communicate but seemed she needed to learn ASL as well to help her speak to him. "Oh thank you."

She took the cue to sit and did so assuming there was either something that needed to be gotten out of the way first. Or maybe he was just Ursula in -- negaverse clothing and needed some sort of contract signed maybe?

Either way she sat and tried to still her nerves since this was going to be one of those processes.

Faustite nodded to her implied question. However she came out in the end, she would invariably get used to teleporting. Perhaps it was stomach-churning for the White Moon, but he lacked the means — and the patience — to interrogate her about it.

While she took a seat, Faustite reached across his desk for the pen and dipped it in ink. Then he went for the writing table, where he wrenched open a drawer and pulled a fresh sheet of paper from its confines. He wrote without allowing his right hand to touch the page. When he was finished, he picked it up by the edge, which soon began to burn and blacken around his fingers. He showed the page to her as he approached.

It will hurt.
Bite down on this.

After setting the page on the desk beside her, he set to work unbuckling and shirking his pauldron and its attached cloak. Holding the golden metal in his hands, Faustite wrenched one side of the black leather belt from its socket and handed it to the senshi. Better that she kept her tongue if she wanted to track down her family.

Inwardly, he was grateful that his sleeves remained rolled up after his last promotion. It made for a fine deterrent in case an unlucky convert grabbed onto his arm to try to stop him.

With no further instruction, Faustite reached for the girl's starseed. Felt all too natural to reach past the ostentatious outfit, the skin, the bone, the blood — til the warmth of her soul hummed soft over his skin. Clawed fingers wrapped around it, and shortly thereafter came a strong pulse of energy so wretchedly dark that it hurt for the eyes to try to study it.

And such a hurt would pale against the pain endured by having one's soul blackened by wrought chaos.

Godiva watched the general quizzically after he nodded, and as he wrote hand hovering over the paper so as not to touch it while writing. She wondered if it was as much as a pain to be a living furnace as it seemed. When he held out the paper for her to read she noticed the fact it was burning in his hand.

There was an amount of a mental note not to touch the general just so she wouldn't be burned. She nodded "Okay." Taking the pauldron and cloak as they were offered to her she put it into her mouth and then planted her hands firmly on the chair hoping she could keep from trying to grab anything on the general king to try and stop him.

What happened next. was something impossible to be prepared for. The fact he shoved his hand into her chest felt like she'd caught on fire. The chaos itself seeping into her soul. She bit down onto the bite he'd offered glad that had had actually offered it. There was a muffled pained noise and soon things went dark from the pain and just the chaos taking over.

It felt like a lifetime to the senshi but was only a few moments, her eyes fluttered open and she looked around unsure of her surroundings. She woke up looking at the general king and trying to place him. Looking around and pulling the bite out of her mouth she sighed. "I feel like someone poured fresh lava all over my body and ran me over with a train...."

The super senshi sat there for a moment processing what happened and she frowned softly finding there felt like there were holes in her memory. But one thing was for sure, she got what she wanted. "Thank you...." She finally managed.

". . . I don't think I caught your name?"

He wasn't kept waiting long by the blitz of negative energy. While uncertain if the quick and indelible staining of her soul was due to her willingness or some other source of innate lack of resistance, the effects were easily discerned.

The white that once adorned her outfit in bold strokes was now reduced to an accent. Black overwrote the brunt of it, wove her hair into a grandiose style, and tucked the rest of her into one of those sultry affairs that ever found its way into the Negaverse senshi ranks.

He removed his hand — without removing her starseed, which was a small source of pride — and took a step back enough to give her space. She commented on her experience first, to which Faustite tipped his head to and fro, then summed up his agreement with a simple nod. It'd been something like that with every promotion he received; it made sense that everyone he touched endured a similar treatment. She'd deserved something kinder for her foray into the Negaverse's ranks, but he left that part unsaid.

Faustite beckoned to his left, and a torrent of fireflies swarmed into existence. Once they coalesced into a version of Godiva from minutes before their encounter in his office, the youma then handed over her journal.

Call me Faustite, he signed, and Headache translated for her. You'll need this.

I'll show you to the barracks where you can rest if you ned it. Best that you're seen by a cat or the Infiltration Branch afterward; they'll set you up with an identity. Might know where to find your family, too.

When Faustite nodded his head after she commented on how she felt, she watched the fireflies suddenly appear and a youma appear. She took her journal softly looking at it softly.

She tried to recall what she remembered and largely it seemed she could remember some things from when she was talking to others about joining and meeting Faustite.

She nodded, "Yeah, I think a rest would be good... after that, I feel a bit ... drained"

There was an infiltration branch? Interesting she was curious as she got up to follow taking a second to take in her outfit. "Ah being able to find my family would be fantastic. Oh, so how many branches are there?" She asked curiously assuming obviously if there's a branch, a tree has more than one.

She also figured she might need to learn sign language so the youma didn't keep having to translate all the time.
