The night was lovely. Fresh and sweet smelling. There was absolutely no humidity, and Lisse had scored some freeze dried candy that he was eager to try and share with Julian. He had been wanting to try it for a while now, but the idea of ordering it online…was sketchy at best, and more expensive than he was willing to give…of course it had been expensive just to buy it too but…
At least there had been no shipping fees or anything like that!
The bag was swinging merrily at his side and he was pleased enough to be humming quietly as he made his way back towards Hillworth…of course, the feeling of a Page caught his attention and he hesitated for a moment before heading towards the aura. It might be Almere, and he could open one of these packs and share with her! It was perfect. No need to have Julian be the first to taste it…if it was bad, he wouldn’t make his friend eat it, after all.
As he approached, he saw that the green haired male was wearing pastels like he was…only.
“Hi! You’re not a Lysithea Page, are you?”
He didn’t think so, especially when he got closer…but still.
Those in pastels had to stick together.

"No I am not! I am a Moon Page! Page of the Moon? Something like that, he said, jumping a little as the Lysithea knight - squire, maybe? - approached and spoke up. Crisium's day and evening had been mostly been having his nose stuck into his C++ book all day long trying to internalize the idea of reflection and how the language worked. The fact he was out and about as Crisium as it is was astounding, given he had a project due in two weeks.
If he had to sit in front of his computer and visual studio any longer his eyes would have melted out of his skull though.
He eyed the bag of candy the other knight was holding and back to his face.
"I'm Crisium of the Moon, by the way. Pleasure to meet you...?" he said, offering a hand to be shook. His mother had raised him with manners, after all.

“Oh! Cool!” Lisse gave a small smile, but looked just a bit sad that he wasn’t another one of the Lysithea tribe…still.
“Do you know Nectaris? I just met her the other day, she was a Knight of the Moon too! It’s nice to meet you, Crisium…have you ever had freeze dried candy? I got some to share with my roommate but…do you wanna try some with me, to make sure it’s good?”
A Knight was a Knight, and every contact was a good contact. “Have you been a Page long?”

He tilted his head in thought. "I'm not sure though maybe? I do sort of... keep to myself in most cases, and I've only really encountered people when either the Code brings us all together or someone's world is in danger. Not sure why I keep helping with those things but..." said Crisium, trying to place anyone named Nectaris in his encounters. It was possible, but he really only knew a few other knights and that was mostly in passing...
He really needed to make some friends.
"Um... about a year? Might be a little over a year now," he replied, then glanced down at the bag of candy. "I haven't tried freeze dried candy, so I'd love to try some!" He liked Lisse, even if he was a little more cheery than he was used to. It was a nice change of pace, to be honest.
"How long have you been a knight, er squire, yeah?"

Lisse grinned and began working to open the bag, but…even with his extended strength, it was…stupidly difficult and he ended up using his teeth, but finally managed to open the bag. “Damn, are these child proof or just…impossible!”
They were skittles and he held the bag out to Crisium. “I thought about getting the sour kind but, figured it was best to just start with normal. Help yourself!”
He gave a little smile and thought back to when he ended up powering up. “My twin and I ended up powering up together, right after we moved to the city and it was last September, just before our birthday…so it’s honestly coming up on a year now, if you can believe it! And you, I’m glad that we got to meet! And that there’s no danger.”

Crisium chuckled a little. "They fill the bags less and make them harder to open all the time..." he said, fishing a few of the candies out to examine. Not going sour was probably a good idea to start; he got the feeling that would just make it much more sour in the end.
"Oh... you and your twin must be doing a lot of fighting if you're already a squire," he said, popping a candy into his mouth. Oh, that was the oddest sensation... but a good one.
"Did you have to place your Code piece on your wonder, or did it already sort of exist on Lysithea?" Two more pieces of candy vanished into his mouth. Damn, he was going to have to ask where Lisse picked these up and get some himself.

“We’re doing our best. Honestly, my brother has taken things way too far, and I’m trying to just…do my best, and have fun, and meet people. But.” Lisse popped a purple one into his mouth and laughed at the way it disintegrated. “Oh, I guess the hype on these was worth it. That’s so fun.” He popped another into his mouth and slowly shook his head. “Honestly, I didn’t even know about my Code Piece until all the stuff happened a few weeks ago. Like…wait, you had to place yours on your wonder? It wasn’t just…there?”
That was interesting, and really, he wanted to know more.
“I didn’t realize that that was something that could happen?”

"Yeah! Apparently the Moon has never had knights before, but something sort of made it decide it needed protectors," he said, adjusting his glasses. He wondered what Lysithea looked like; the Moon had been rather... moonlike he guessed.
"So yeah, I took the Code Piece to the Crisium; which is this large series of gardens and fountains and a lecture hall. It was meeting space for philosophy and debate at one point. Now it's my wonder." He popped another piece of candy in his mouth and chewed it thoughtfully.
"It made the whole 'meditating' thing easier to do since I knew where it is, but I don't exactly have... any other guidance? Like when I meditated I didn't really see a 'past' Crisium, just past... me. Like civilian me, ya know?" Ah yes, he was rambling again. Hopefully Lisse didn't mind it too much...

Oh, that was interesting to know, and Lisse nodded, jotting it down in a part of his mind that tried to retain such facts. “That’s…super cool. If you ever want to come see Lisse, you are absolutely welcome, and I would love to come and see the moon. That honestly…is it pretty? That sounds so cool! Lisse is filled with tulips and there’s windmills, it’s super pretty. I love it, honestly.”
He took a few more skittles and nodded, excited to hear more…because…he didn’t really know. That sounded.
“I was a woman in the past, that was the only thing that I really learned…but. It was cool.”

His eyes got real sort of big at the whole 'I was a woman in the past' revelation. "...Really? Huh, I just appeared to be a stuck up scholar who didn't like loud people..." He glanced around, just in case some sort of youma or agent of Chaos had snuck up on them while they were chatting. Ok, so he was mostly looking for those weird wraiths more than youma, but better to be safe than sorry.
"The moon is honestly kind of... boring? The Crisium Overlook is very pretty though," said Crisium with a hum. He could probably take Lisse with him at some point; the Code didn't say he couldn't bring friends to the moon after all.

Lisse chuckled and after a moment, powered down and handed his phone to the Page. “Here! Put your number in and we can plan something! I don’t care if it’s boring, I think…I just want to see everything that I can, you know? We have access to space...so we should absolutely take advantage of it!”
He looked so excited, and honestly, so young. He was almost sixteen though, and that was practically an adult. He had the responsibility of an adult, if he were to think about it.

Crisium watched as Lisse powered down and stared at him for a hot minute. Well that was... incredibly trusting of him. As he powered down himself, leaving the baggy sweater and slacks wearing nerd that Zeke was under the power, he realized that Lisse was young.
Younger than him, for sure, and still without the weight of the world on his shoulders. Zeke remembered that sort of feeling - though he'd always been tempered with his anxiety and his mother's 'guiding' hand along the way.
He typed in his number under the name 'Zeke' and hit send. His phone beeped a few moments later.
"Sounds good to me," he said.
Look at him, Mother, he made a friend!
