Honestly, Nectaris didn't have beef with any of the seasons. Winter got a bad rep, but it had Christmas and candles and cozy blankets and sometimes snow. Fall had pumpkin spice and Halloween costumes. Summer had ice cream and trips to the pool and all of the obvious stuff that made people happy.

Right now it was spring, though, and maybe that was the best one of all, 'cause everything was green, and most of the flowers were blooming now, and the soft pastels in all the fancy gardens in the parks just fed right into all of Nectaris's colorful, pretty, romantic dreams.

It was getting really warm now, warm enough that it didn't get chilly all day in the evenings.

After a long day of small business work, she came out to one of those parks with the cute flowers, the wisteria overhead. For the first time in the season, she peeled off her shoes, and then her stockings.

Then, she started to twirl barefoot in the grass.

Lisse felt the aura of a Knight nearby and followed it, wondering who he would be running into, and instead of a Knight, there was a fairy dancing in the flowers.

He stared for a moment, confused and not really sure what it was that he was seeing and after he took a step closer, he decided to say something.

“Hey! Are you real?”

She had wings...kind of. Oh, maybe it was a cape? Regardless, she didn't really look real.

“I’m Lisse, you’re a Knight, right?”

He felt…honestly dumb for having to ask.

When the Squire boy showed up and asked if she was real, Nectaris couldn't help but giggle.

And, like, she couldn't help curtsying at him before bouncing up on her toes, kinda leaning into the imaginary fairy court thing, instead of just waving the way she usually did.

"I'm real," she told him, though, not about to lie. "Real and magic! My name's Nectaris, I'm a Moon Knight. Hi!"

After a second passed, she waved, too, because not doing it felt weird.

"And like, look at that! You're pink like me! We're like, twinsies!"

She'd met a couple of other people with pink outfits at this point, but it was always a fun surprise, and of course always a chance to be friends.

"You're not a Moon Knight, though, are you?" She squinted at his symbols. They looked slightly familiar, but she couldn't put a name to it.

“I’m not a Moon Knight, no! I’m a Squire of Lysithea, but we do have very similar colors!” He gave a slight laugh, feeling somewhat foolish but. She seemed nice at least, so that helped his worry. “I’m going to assume that you just…wanted to walk barefoot? There’s not something bad going on with the grass like there was with the Code and all that jazz…right?”

He hoped not. He didn’t want to deal with anymore bad things…but this city…enjoyed producing them, so he didn’t have a choice most of the time.

“So you get to visit the Moon a lot, yeah? Also, Lysithea is a moon…so I’m…kind of sort of a moon knight too, if you think about it hard enough.”

Hopefully…that sounded impressive. Or at least like he knew what he was talking about.

"Oh yeah! Lysithea! That makes sense," she said. She could see it in the symbol now that she looked at it.

She thought about telling him that she'd met his Princess, but she decided that might get weird considering the whole situation that she'd met the Princess in

"But yeah, I'm just chilling. The grass is nice, it's, like, spring-y," she said. By summer sometimes it got all dried up and prickly, but right now it was soft and green and perfect.

"You can take off your shoes if you wanna try," she told him. Maybe she shouldn't assume someone wanted to dance just 'cause their outfit made them look like an old-timey musician, but she was gonna give the invite anyway. She was pretty sure grass-dancing would make anyone feel better.

"If there's two of us, we can spin together!."

Lisse brightened slightly. “It makes sense? I’m not going to ask why, but I’m glad at least you know the name!”

It was nice. It made him feel seen. “I…would...but…”

Grimacing, the Squire gestured to his stockings that were under his…bloomer pants. “I can’t really get barefoot…I’ve got tights on or whatever you want to call this? Hose, maybe…but I’m not going to work to get them off and it’s strong, and I don’t have anything to cut it with…”

Maybe bringing a pair of scissors would be a good idea eventually. It could…be useful for more things than he had the brain power to think of right now. “Maybe next time though?”

Would it be pushy to say that he could just power down and then take his shoes off. Probably. Sometimes people wanted to keep their secret identities secret, even if they were with friends.

Nikki didn't really get it, but she nodded anyway.

"You can just dance in you fancy boots, then," she told him. "You'll still get the happy spring vibes. You can smell the flowers, right?"

It was hard to miss the wisteria that filled the air around them with that light, pretty spring flower smell.

Lisse thought for a moment and laughed softly. “You know, you’re right. And maybe I will.”

He felt a little silly doing it, but also…he wanted to bring Julian out here and dance with him in the flowers. It would be silly, but it could be fun too, and the smell of the flowers was…well. It was just lovely.

“Do you do this often? Just go around dancing? It…seems like a very…” He mulled over his words, careful not to say something rude. “It seems like a very carefree way to live…and I like that. A lot.”

Carefree was an oversimplification for sure, but it was fun, and Nectaris had gotten over the fact that people might judge her for stuff like this a long time ago. Anyway, most of the time people appreciated that she liked to do things that made her happy.

When she could, she liked to remind them that they could to things to make them happy, too.

"Yeah! I mean, I'm a dance teacher," she told him. "For, like, aerial stuff, not quite this, but sometimes it's fun to just," she cartwheeled, "Play, y'know?"

With all the stress they were under from saving the world, and also just from, like, being alive, they deserved that much.

“Oh?” Lisse nodded and hummed softly. “That’s kind of cool, is that like…good exercise? I’m going to assume it’s like upper body strength, yeah?” It might be something fun to sign up for? Maybe he and Julian could try that…maybe Jason would even be happy that he was doing some sort of physical exercise.

“It must be pretty…can boys sign up? And what’s the cost, do you have the information?”

At the very least, having another Knight as a friend in “real life” would be a good thing to have.

"Yeah, it's silks, so there's a lot of, like, climbing and stuff. Plus the moves take a lot of control. It's like, a full body workout kind of thing."

People were always surprised when Nectaris had abs under her poofy dress, but she'd worked hard for them!

"And obviously boys can do it! It's for anyone."

Apparently people had given her brother Richard a hard time for being a male dance teacher back in the day, saying it was feminine or whatever, which, like, that wasn't an insult anyway but they were still being weird and if they tried it now, she was going to fight them.

"I don't like, have physical business cards, but, like," she powered down into shorts and really tall socks and a t-shirt, "I can text you the website?"

Lisse waited for a moment, but after feeling no unwanted auras, he also powered down and shrugged slightly, pulling his phone out. “Absolutely!” He opened up a new contact for her and handed his phone over without even really thinking about it. “I’m Luke. And I’m hoping if the price is okay to try and talk my roommate into it too! I think it could be good for him, he’s shy and…maybe having something to practice and get good at…”

He shrugged. “I know he’s got something wrong with his hand too, so maybe some exercise would help…” Maybe he shouldn’t just blab like this but…

She was nice. And if she knew details, she could help better.

"And I'm Livie," she said with a grin.

Honestly she'd mostly just come out here to enjoy the weather, but if she could get a new client or two out of it, and also show a couple of people how fun and freeing dance and movement could be?

Yeah, she'd be on top of that a hundred percent.

She tried to stay on top of the marketing thing, so she had the website pulled up and then sent over to him in a practiced motion.

"Yeah, we can accomodate if your friend has injuries or something. And, like, I can ask my boss if we can get you an Order discount too. Like half the people who work here are Knights. We can figure something out."

She wanted Luke to be able to get strong and have fun! The details, she could figure out for him.

“Yes please! It’s so nice to meet you, Livie!” He felt…excited. Luke would bring it up to Julian as soon as he could, but for now? Now he would just stop somewhere and grab them both something good to eat for a snack. “I hope to hear from you soon, and I’ll be in touch too! I…”

He gave a little grin and shrugged. “I like having stronger people that can be depended on, and if I need help, I hope it’s okay to contact you for that kind of stuff too.”

Honestly though, if it was really something so dire, he wouldn’t hesitate.

"Well, obviously," she told him, her cheeks turning a little bit pink when he called her strong. That wasn't usually people's first impression of her. It was nice when it was.

She pretended to hold her staff, even though she was powered down now. "I can hit people with this if I have to! I'll help you out if you ever need something."

After all, he was pink. Of course she'd fight for him. They matched!

"Anyway, have a good night, okay? I think I'm gonna go home, too."

She'd gotten her fun magical girl time in for the day. With a wave, she turned back towards her house.
