While The Cafe greatly encourages RP, we want to ensure the experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for everyone involved. As a result, we've created a guide to RPing within the guild. These rules should always be followed, and breaking one or more will result in a consequence. Please take the time to read these rules if this is your first time RPing within the shop! You must have a Phox from the shop that has been certed, or has been put in for a cert request, to roleplay in this forum.
Please follow the Daisy Code at all times.
Please mark your threads appropriately for Private or Open RP. Putting [PRP] or [ORP] in the thread title will suffice.
If you have an Open RP, please state any warnings, rules or settings at the beginning of the thread. Please keep violence and sexual language to a minimum in Open RP threads.
Keep RP's within PG-13 limitations.
You must state warnings for violence, death, blood or gore at the very beginning of the first post, even in Private RPs. If it develops later in the thread, go back and add it. No exceptions.
Keep violence at PG-13 or less. Disturbing, gory, explicit or otherwise R-Rated levels of violence are not permitted.
Get permission before inflicting a wound upon another character, or causing anything life altering within the RP.
Rape plots or any plot involving sexual violence is not acceptable. Not in character development, nor in RPs.
Plots with "dubious consent" are also not allowed.
Plots with sexual harassment are not allowed.
Fade to black. Affection is fine, but know where to stop your RP before it gets too steamy.
God-modding is not cool. Don't do it.
Do not overtly pester people for RP or RP replies! Not only do people have lives outside of roleplaying that must come first, but poking for RP publicly can be seen as a form of shaming. If you want someone to reply to you/your RP, DM them!
Please keep in mind the limits of the world. While Phox Street Cafe is similar to our world, it differs and has its own world, and therefor has different aspects to it. If you're unsure about something, reference the guides.
NPC's can be used, but only vaguely. Mentioning them or vaguely indicating what they're doing in the background is fine, but they should not be treated as secondary characters.
