Shang wasted no time, as soon as they were able to leave and head to their wonders, that's where he went. Being able to physically get to Shangri-la was like balm to his very soul. The relief he experienced after having literally been cut off from his wonder was like no other. If he didn't have a specific task to accomplish he would have laid in the grass where he stood instead and turn hearing the voice that further washed relief over him.

“Silas,” he said in greeting.

“You okay,” asked his ancestor, his uncle from a millennia ago.

“I’m fine, but something happened and I wasn’t able to get here. I tried … I promised I tried but nothing. Others were stuck on their wonders unable to get him and all of our magic and weapon had gone haywire, among other things. Its such a huge weight lifted to finally be here. The code summoned us …”

Silas nodded, “yes, the wonder was bubbled off after something washed over it? I'm not entirely sure, but something certainly happened. It honestly looks like a natural disaster hit the place, but …. If the code summoned you then …”

“Oh yes, where is Shangri-la’s code piece … I have to resonate with in, in order to fix this.”

“Oh, intriguing … you're going to have to swim to get to it … I'd suggest not being in uniform. It will make it easier.”

Shang raised an eyebrow, but nodded and followed behind Silas as he was lead down to the garden built and tended to by generations of Shangri-la knight before him. He smiled at his own additions to the special piece of their history. They past the garden and followed the river that ran through the canyon to its beginning where waterfalls spilled over steep cliffs into the water below.

It was beautiful and Shang loved to just be there, swim in the waters and stand beneath some of the less forceful waterfalls.

Silas looked to Shang and pointed to the third waterfall from the left, “You have to swim under the waterfall and down into the cavern below. Thank heavens you're such a fish because it isn't the easiest swim. It will go up into a cave inside the cliff wall and that’s where you’ll find the code. It's dark though, do you have something to light the way?”

Shang shook his head, but gave a determined look, “it should be okay? The code said they’d help us find them, hopefully that means light too.” He chuckled before looking more closely and pointing. “There, see its glowing. I’ll be fine. I’ll be back before you know it and I’ll fix this.”

With a nod, he powered down and stood as just himself, in a polo, slacks and loafers. He stripped down to his t shirt and underwear before wading into the water and heading the the waterfall. He went as far as he could, as close to the waterfall as he could before he took a deep breath and went under. He assumed Silas had been trained for this and hoped his love for water, his mer like nature would get him to the code. He was one of the ones teaching his family children how to swim. Most of the little ones were swimming well and eager to get into the water.

He followed the glowing light, guided by the code through the dark water, with easy, determined strokes. He decided not to worry about the distance, lest her began to worry about his need for oxygen. It wasnt easy, but he was happy to see the path seemed bright as he swam up, up, up, until he broke the waters surface and drew in a deep breath, wading and allowing his lungs their fill of the cold, damp air.

He stay floating for a while, eyes taking in the cave, lit by the glow of the cave before swimming toward the shore and making his way over to his wonders’ code piece.

It was weird to see it in such a state, so unstable, despite the fadedness of it, it was so active. So unless the steadiness he would picture from it.

“It’s okay,” he said sitting in front of it, calling his uniform back to him. “Let’s fix this.”

He closed his eyes and focused on the code and his wonder and the peace he felt whenever he was here. That was what Shangri-la was for him, peace, an oasis, a balm and so uniquely for him, apart of him. He steadied his breathing and released all the tension in his body, a sigh escaping his lips.

He didn't know how long it had been before his saw something. It was standing outside of a dream, but he was in Shangri-la, only he was looking at others. People milling around going about their daily duties. How?

He turned to see Silas … that was certainly Silas, but what … oh that’s Havasu and … Vesuvius.

What were they doing?

Shang followed them, wondering if they really thought they were being stealthy in whatever they were doing, heading in the vegetation of the forest he knew would lead to the main river that fed the falls.

He smirked watching them talking animatedly once they were away from the main area of the wonder, out in the wilds so to speak. It was clear to him, they were friends. It was amusing so to speak, because Shang still knew their pair in his time. It felt sort of like fate.

Silas pushed Havasu and laughed before taking off heading for the falls, initiating a race to see which of the three could make it first. Silas fainted right and his friend ran to catching. Shang noticed something in that moment … was his a squire … were they all squires?

Shang didn't really have time to ponder it when Silas from a running started jump right off the cliff, followed by Vesuvius and Havasu. Shang ran to catch up, only to see from the top of the cliff they’d jump down to a lower landing and continued down to a less forceful waterfall before Silas unsurprisingly jumped, diving into the water below, coming up and laughing.

“Come on you two, its not like you haven’t done it before!”

Shang sat at the top of the cliff, feet hanging over and watching as his ancestor and his friends climbed back up and jumped repeatedly into the water. It went on for some time, before he heard a not too happy voice calling Silas’ name.

He turned to look, but instead of seeing the source of the voice, instead, he say his code pieced, settled and stable once more. He sighed, relieved and stood, “Ive got to get home, but I’ll make sure to check in from time to time.” He turned and headed back to Silas who waited from him, right where Shang left him.
