Lupu was a little uncomfortable with the fact that he had been a Knight for so long…and had never gone to visit his Wonder. Could it be due to people like him? Those who weren’t trying to get things fixed up, get things safe...or…whatever? He hadn’t gone straight here after the trip to the Moon. No, he had gone home. Eaten food, gotten cleaned up and had waited a few days.

There was a part of him that had wanted to invite Evan to go with him, to have the safety of Malus by his side, but. No. This was something that had to be done on his own. He couldn’t explain why but…he knew it was the truth.

As he stood on his Wonder, seeing the sickly, narrow river, surrounded on both sides by dozens…hundreds? Of graves.

It was a very morbid sight and for a feverish moment, Lupu was glad that he hadn’t brought Evan here, he wouldn’t have liked it. Nobody in their right mind would like it, honestly.

Michel might, and for a moment, he half wished he would have asked the other Saturn Knight to come with him, not because he was scared...just because Michel was used to what it was like on Saturn. So he would have…advice. Or whatever.

Honestly, if Necro had been one to go to his Wonder often, or ever he might have asked to go with him, but as it was…he just had to find his Code piece, resonate with it and get the hell out of here. Not too difficult. Nothing he couldn’t handle.

Of course, he had absolutely no idea where to start, so when he saw a strange, twinkling light leading to a very large, very old mausoleum, he sighed heavily

Great. Just what he wanted. A trip down into a grave. This sounded like a bad start to a horror movie, honestly, but the tomb had the symbol of Saturn on it, so at least…maybe it meant something. Lupu looked around, half hoping…halfheartedly hoping that he would see more twinkly sparkles leading him somewhere else. A nice grassy place where there were no gravestones, perhaps. But, no.

The sparkles lead into the imposing stone structure, and with a heavy sigh, Lupu made his way inside to follow them.

It was quiet inside of the tomb, quiet and…unsettling. It felt like death, and honestly…Lupu didn’t really want to think about death. Ironically, death scared him more than he would be ever willing to admit, and the bravado he constantly boasted was just…

It wasn’t real. It never had been real but.

There was a strange, quiet dripping noise that cut through the silence, and it made him jump. Absolutely undignified, but…whatever. Nobody was here to see him. Nobody was here to judge him. It was simply…

Lupu and an untold number of dead people. Cool. Cool. He walked down a passage of stairs, and through another door, and was honestly feeling more than a little uncomfortable, when he walked though one last door.. The floor here was a beautiful polished marble, rather than the dark gray stone of the rest of the place, and there was an urn on a pedestal, with a slowly rotating orb perched atop it.

This…must be the Code piece. It looked…tired. That was the only thing he could think of to describe it. The glow was faint and the rotation slow.

There was a ring on the pedestal as well, and Lupu slipped it onto his finger without a second thought. This should have been his…far too long ago. He had been such a slacker but.

That would change. He would return here again, now that he had been this time.

Gently, as though picking up a baby bird, he clasped his hands under the Code piece and raised it up towards him, gazing at it with some wonder. Now…he just had to fix it.

Lupu closed his eyes and tried to just focus on his breathing. Focus on being here. Being Lupu.

He stood there, for who knew how long, his eyes closed. It was almost relaxing, being here. His heartbeat loud in his own ears. It…

It was nice. It felt right.

When Lupu opened his eyes again, he saw that the orb in his hands was now glowing brightly. Alive again. Healthy again. The smile on the Knights face was genuine, and even if he was uncomfortable on his Wonder…he knew at least that it was his...and now knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt why he had to protect it.

This was home.
