Fang, while working on taking care of his own home planet, refused to abandon his duties on Earth, either. Right now, Earth was kind enough to let him have a home here, while he'd hid and cried and not wanted to go home. Kind enough to allow him a home here while he gathered his strength and courage to work on fixing his home. He would not reject this kindness. So, here he was, patrolling the streets—on the hunt for something. Someone being naughty. Instead, as he rounded a corner, he noticed someone that made his heart race with excitement. For one heart stopping moment, he thought another Fangan had somehow made it to Earth, but he knew that was silly. Plenty of other races could look similar to one another. Still, that didn't stop him from being excited—meeting another Chrysocyon-like senshi sent his heart soaring. "Friend! Hello!" he called out, a little bit of a howl in his voice at the end.

It had been a quiet evening so far, and Madriu was, if he was honest, quite enjoying it. Earth's springtime was lovely--he was getting to witness flowers beginning to bloom, and everything come to life.
It had been so, so long since he'd seen a Spring.
He'd paused under a tree with pink blossoms and long, hanging branches, brushing index finger and thumb over a delicate petal, and just...contemplating the life all around him. His world had been a barren, blasted wasteland for so long that it was almost hard to imagine one being so vibrant and alive.
The voice that called out to him startled, a little, but he turned to greet the other Senshi with a smile. Eternal, like he'd been once--and just like him, there were lupine ears and a tail. So not from this world, either.
"Hey," he greeted, casually. "Have we met?" He didn't think so, but then....perhaps this was something he'd forgotten. "I'm Madriu."

Fang shook his head at the question, drawing closer and still beaming widely, tail wagging behind him. "My name Fang. Nice to meet Madriu," he said, pressing a fist to his chest and bowing halfway. "Nice to meet more alien friends." He flicked his ears to emphasize his point, trying not to start bouncing in his excitement. He felt like a little pup again, and a bit silly for that, too. But he liked meeting other aliens so much—they shared so much experience. Maybe nobody else would be quite like him, but he'd never know unless he met all of the fellow aliens he could.

"Nice to meet you, too, Fang," Madriu said. He wondered, for a moment, what Fang's native tongue sounded like--did it skip unnecessary words, the way his English grammar did? Or was that a quirk of this particular person?
Anthy would have loved asking those questions. Not to pretend that Madriu himself didn't find them interesting--he'd enjoyed learning as many languages as he could, once upon a time--but it was really Anthy's passion, and just thinking about it put a weight in his chest. Would Anthy's reincarnation love the same things? Would he even be someone Madriu recognized?
He pushed those thoughts away, and made himself smile for Fang, who just seemed glad to see him.
"I haven't met many others like us. Have you?"

Fang nodded, then paused, tilting his head and thinking for a moment, then shrugged. "Depends. Three is not many pieces of cheese, but lot of dogs. Is three aliens many aliens?" he asked, a bit of impishness in his little smile. He wanted to try out Earth's humor—the longer he was here, the more he understood it, the more he enjoyed it. And the more he wanted to try to make jokes. Though perhaps this was the wrong time to try.

Madroiu tilted his head to the side, and considered. He could tell Fang was making a joke, but it was also an interesting question, and he had to think for a moment before he answered.
"Guess that depends on how many of us there are, yeah? Or how many relative to Earth humans, at least. Three's a decent number, either way."
Or, at least, Madriu thought so, when Fang was only the second he'd met, and Saiph had said he was the first she'd known. It seemed as if they were few and far between, which perhaps made sense. How many planets could have possibly had the unique cocktail of circumstances that let their Senshi survive for a thousand years?

Fang's tail wagged a little. "Fang meet three," he said proudly, holding up his fingers to tick them off. "Daphne, Alice-tur, and Day—Day—" He frowned a little as he stuttered over Daedalus' name, ears drooping slightly. "Day. Duh. Less." He knew that was kind of wrong, or at least he thought so, and he disliked himself for it. Fangan language had always been so simple. The too many words of English and the so many syllables constantly escaped him, evaporating off the grasp of his tongue no matter how hard he tried. But he shook it off after taking a moment to breathe, then pointed at Madriu. "Mad-roo, four!" he said with more chirpiness in his voice.

Madriu nodded along. He recognized one of those names--Daphne--but he hadn't seen her since their brief run-in one evening not long after he first arrived on Earth. The others were strange, though it might be Fang's odd pronunciation.
Then again, he hadn't exactly met many people, so maybe it wouldn't matter.
"I met Daphne, once," Madriu said, and he decided to set aside the matter of pronunciation for a moment. "But you're actually only the third of us that I've met. And I know of one more, but haven't run into him in person." Daphne, Grieve, Fang, Helene.
Considering the lack of overlap? It seemed there might be more of them than Madriu had feared.

Fang's tail wagged even faster. "Daphne good," he said eagerly, happy to talk about someone they both knew. "We have many friends! Happy!" He let out a soft aroouf of excitement. "Trade numbers?" he asked, taking his specialized senshi phone out and typing in a new contact. The clicking of the buttons only made his tail wag faster—truly, his modified phone was a delight.

Madriu nodded, producing his own phone. He tilted his head to the side for a moment--Fang's looked so different!--but perhaps that was just something he didn't necessarily need to understand.
"I'd be happy to trade numbers," he said, and he clicked to add Fang to his contacts.
Honestly, what a lucky night.
