Amsvartnir hummed to himself happily as he did a quick circuit around his usual patrolling area, keeping an eye out for any Chaos activity. When he encountered nothing, he took this opportunity to visit his Wonder, like he'd promised the Code not too long ago. It wasn't difficult for him, not by a long shot. He loved visiting—the island was beautiful, and the small castle upon it even moreso. The actual Wonder was the lake, of course, but he needed somewhere to stay to protect it. He wondered what he'd find down there, one day, if he could go diving.

But that wasn't relevant right now. Right now, he needed to get inside and get to his Code Piece. He opened the castle doors and gave a wave to Takoda, approximately three seconds before he was completely bowled over by Feilan.

"Yes, yes, hi, I missed you too," he said with a laugh as the winged Direwolf licked his face. "Okay, okay! Don't suffocate me, eurgh!"

With some effort, he pushed Feilan off himself and gave him some vigorous face rubs and nose kissies. "Good boy. Now let Papa go take care of something important, okay? I'll play with you later," he promised, standing all the way back up and stretching out his back.

Takoda laughed quietly. "Hello. I'm relieved you could make it," he said, sounding a bit grave all of a sudden. "There was a surge of power and the Code Piece is... unsteady."

Amsvartnir nodded, already heading to unlock the dais and get underground. "Yeah. The Code itself called a meeting for us Knights," he explained. "Gotta get down there and meditate at it until it stops being sick, basically. I'll let you know how it went when I come back up!"

Takoda nodded, giving Feilan a stern look when the wolf bade to follow Amsvartnir down the hidden staircase under the dais. Feilan whined softly, but sat down and stayed.

He meandered down the stairs—not exactly intentionally delaying the process or anything like that, but he didn't quite feel the need to rush getting there, either. He had plenty of time, he felt, to go down and resonate with it, since he was already here at his Wonder. He'd certainly tried to get out here sooner, like he'd promised the Code, but life had made that extremely difficult. Ah, well.

He trailed his hand along the stone walls, noting the dampness and moss that appeared to be growing. Oh, that was delightful! Eventually, he did make it down to his Code Piece and winced at what he saw. Yikes. No, he definitely shouldn't have delayed it. He sat down in front of it, closed his eyes, and concentrated.

An hour and a pair of very stiff legs later, he unfolded himself from the floor with a groan. Ugh. Staying on the floor sucked. Ah, well. At least the Code Piece seemed to have stabilized. That... felt better. He smiled as he went back upstairs and nodded to Takoda.

"I felt the change a little bit ago," Takoda remarked. "You did well."

"Aw, thanks. I'm glad I got that taken care of. Hey, boy, wanna play fetch?" he asked, directing his attention back to Feilan, who yipped and ran around excitedly.
