Red lights flashed and sirens sounded as an ambulance, and a cop car, sped towards the drug house she’d called them for. Another drug dealer dead, their starseed in subspace, and the people inside were going to get help…one of them hadn’t looked good. She wasn’t a doctor, just a pharmacist, but with a family of nothing but doctors, surgeons, and nurses she knew when people weren’t doing well. It wasn’t hard to tell. So she’d called for help and fled the scene.
She’d been keeping to the red light district as she worked her magic, grabbing starseeds and taking energy here and there, the dealers and pimps wound up giving over their starseeds and others gave up a bit of energy. She knew others worked this area, it was easy to pick off people that no one would miss, but she was doing it as an act of kindness - to help those who needed it. She would take out those who were the cause of such pain, and suffering, because the cops couldn’t keep up and handle these people.
She could feel another nearby, not in the red light district but damn close, maybe they were headed this way or they were edging this part of the city but were unsure. Heading that way, her hair dragging behind her, the corrupt senshi was enjoying her night out gathering energy and helping people who needed it.

Stichtite had been out gathering, filling his quota and doing what he could here and there for some of the worse-off ones. The ones he could tell needed mercy from their suffering… those were the ones he drained and then pulled their starseed from. Send them off in their sleep and away from what natural or situational things that were killing them or wracking their bodies with pain. He still didn’t like it, drug users and the whole everything behind this area.
There was never enough sanitizer and he’d always scrub extra in the shower when arriving home. But tonight as he worked on draining another poor fellow, he saw an ambulance rushing by on the Main Street through the district. That was… odd? Normally nobody would care enough to call one here unless a shooting happened and that was something he would have heard. Getting up, he felt auras of both types in the area but scattered. At least just a bit, he knew it was still fuzzy compared to what his cousin had told him.
One of the signatures that felt similar to chaos was getting closer and he looked around until he saw someone with long pink hair. Displeasure crossed his face at the idea of another corrupt senshi, he’d begrudgingly accepted and tolerated two so far and now it seemed like the universe was just trying to irk him by sending more his way. He would be polite, and professional, but guarded as usual while he figured out if this one was tolerable. By far he liked Miyamoto the best, perhaps because they had similar habits and an understanding of cleanliness and an equally strong hatred of order senshi. Aoede was more forced because of other connections, he still found her goals and motivations, especially surrounding her brother, displeasing. It would always rub him the wrong way because he knew she was trying to get into his family as well, weaseling her claws into it with her rotten personality.
Waving to the senshi, only slightly, he had a neutral expression at their approach. “Evening, was there a shooting because I never see ambulances this way really.” He knew the hospital he had done rotations in never sent their ambulances out this way, it was too much of a liability for the EMS workers.

Pausing she stood there for a moment, surprised by the question, and then shook her head. “No, just a few addicts in a home and one didn’t look good. I thought it best to call for help, see if they can’t be helped. The dealer at the door won’t be stopping anyone from entering.” She answered calmly, even if she still felt bad for killing someone. She knew it was the right call…they’d keep dealing and harming others. There was no saving the dealer, they were in it for money, they would just move on to other victims there was no turning around the green of a human. It was human nature at its worst.
“I was thinking of helping to clean up the area while making quota…” Stepping closer now, her hands at her sides, she was slender soft spoken. She didn’t shout or have a harsh sounding voice, it was sweet sounding despite the words pouring forth.
“The addicts in this part of the city…the hospital visits they make cost hospitals a lot of money - money which can go to other things. To other people. Some of these people…their drugs come from pharmacies, like the one I work at, they need help. They are sick and the dealers keep feeding it. The neighborhood continues to suffer and people write it off and don’t help them and it continues, it gets worse, and it brings everything around it down.” And she wanted to step in and do something, to help in some manner, and while she knew the dealers she took out were replaceable she would just keep returning till there were no more dealers to remove.
“I imagine if you spend any time here in the future you’ll get used to seeing ambulances and cops, and not for shootings. I want to help these people if I can.” Get them into help if she could. Maybe what she did, the trips to hospitals, would snap some out of things and get them looking for help.

“I see, still a rarity in my opinion. Most would rather let things go in this area it seems. Too much attention when the cops show up.” But he did like what they were saying, it was more of a public health approach than his medical approach to the matter. She was trying to head things off to prevent continued damage and he was just easing the suffering of those who were beyond saving, more damage control than her prevention. It was something he could understand.
Nodding as he wandered a bit closer as well, he noticed that her attire had a brain design on it which he found a bit interesting if not completely anatomically accurate. He wouldn’t say it but he was particular when it came to medical depictions. “I can understand that, I do something a bit similar as well. Though more clean up the aftermath I would say…” His tone was flat but he did feel bad for the people, he didn’t like seeing people suffer.
Hearing that they worked at a pharmacy, he wondered if maybe he knew her in a way through the prescriptions he put through in his clinic. “If you find anyone that needs attention sooner, let me know. I’m a doctor though I hope you understand if I don’t disclose where I work. I can help as much as I can or lead the ones that are too far gone to a peaceful sleep.” It was as poetic as he got but it was something he felt strongly. Though as he spoke he summoned his weapon, that set of rusty keys as he felt an order aura coming near. His stance shifted as he worked on scanning the area to see where their company may be coming from. “Company, be on the lookout.”

When he spoke, when he understood and even offered his help she smiled, happy and at ease with this. “I’ll keep that in mind. I’m not a doctor, that’s almost every other member of my family, but I know when people are in need of help. I can’t help them myself, aside from narcan, but I can get them people who can. The dealers, the pimps, they can’t be helped so I’ll take them out of the equation. It seems we work on a similar mindset though not entirely the same. But you have more knowledge, know when someone is beyond saving, I can’t make that call with my limited knowledge.” If only someone else in her family, one of her siblings, were here as well they could. It seemed though…she might have someone else who could fill in that role for her, to help her further.
She felt it also and nodded once, taking note of the weapon. “Got it, I can leave them open for attack if you think you can fight them?” She asked, wanting to know if they could handle a fight or if she should step in for that role as well. She wasn’t a fighter but if need be she would be, she wasn’t about to let herself or the other get hurt. They were out here doing good, no matter what order might say.
“Call me Valeria, and we should keep in touch when we’re out, let the other know, incase we need help or find someone in need.” Because they could help each other, they could help more people in this city.
“I’m not offended you won’t tell me anything about your civilian life, I can’t say much either. Just that medicine runs in the family.” Maybe she could grab some medical books her siblings had and read some of them, learn enough to be a better help out here with these people?
She could hear shouting, someone shouting for them it seemed, she heard the orders scum and chaos and was certain it was the incoming senshi. If only this senshi knew what they were both doing; what they both planned to do. They were hardly scum. They were putting their skills to good use in helping this area and the people here who everyone else forgot about and pushed to the side because they were dirty and unworthy somehow. She may not have taken an oath to do no harm but she might as well have, especially with her family, she wasn’t going to let people here suffer without trying to help.
“Sounds like they don’t like us…”
Of course it was chaos, it was always chaos, and it wasn’t just one but it was two. As she drew closer she cursed - together. She’d have to handle them together. “******** chaos scum, of course they flock together.” And in an area like this where the people couldn’t even defend themselves, and no one cared, of course they picked here of all places to hunt.
“Hold it right there.” Shouting and pointing at the two, a corrupt senshi and a lieutenant, one her rank and one above. She might need help but she could call for that, it wouldn’t be hard to do, she could have a lot of help to her side in no time - what about them? She knew they could teleport but who would want to help them? Their side certainly didn’t seem the sort to care about each other, look what they did to people.
Rushing right towards them the red and gold dressed senshi was aiming for a good fight tonight, one that would leave a smile on her face by the end of it, she enjoyed a good fight especially against these sorts of trash. Now she just had to get in close enough and she could swing for the first one.

Thinking about a few things, he could see how teaming up with them would make things easier in a way. With them finding people and him helping provide medical care or sending them away from their pain. Cringing internally, he really hated the fact that the people who seemed to have the most sense in all this were the witches. Kafka, Miyamoto and now Valeria. He could feel his ancestor's eyes on him, the judgment and betrayal they might feel even if those ways were long gone. “Stichtite, and yes via the communicator. If you can provide support I can handle most melee things. Whatever can keep them from casting that cursed magic of theirs.”
Shifting he saw the first senshi and stared them down, a weaker one and one with a sense of duty that just made him sigh. The mouth they had was vile and as they rushed in, he ducked and swung upward towards their chin with his fist, making sure the ring of keys was held tightly.” It would connect, no doubt but if he could knock them out was still a toss-up. His fight training with his cousin had been going well but he still held back so as to not injure his hands. He needed them for work because he was the only doctor in his clinic.
“At least we are trying to do something about the problem, you seem to be the one starting a fight.” His voice came out calm and firm, like a parent scolding their child much as he dealt with his cousin when they did something particularly stupid. It happened less often with Kafka around but he still had moments where he had to set the pair of idiots straight.

“Not a problem, I can cover you. I’m not as good with a physical fight but my magic does leave people confused and absentminded. It helps to fight them when they can’t form a thought…much less figure out how to attack a person.” She said with a smile, it was helpful magic to have, and she found this doctor to be approachable and one someone she could easily work with. How nice to find someone she could not only agree with but could work with.
Watching as the senshi go for the lieutenant Valeria was quick to move in as well. She didn’t use her fists, even if she could perhaps hit harder than the lieutenant, she rather opted for magic as it would leave the senshi open for the other to take them down. “Want their starseed?” She questioned, she had no issue with him grabbing this one. “This one would stop us and hinder our plans…our work.” And while not on par with a dealer, or a pimp, they were a hindrance to this part of town. They were here only for them…not to help the people here, aside to keep them from having their energy drained. What use were they if they’d ignore all the need here?
“Strike the mind.” Flinging her magic at them she really did wish sometimes that it would work on more people, not just one, for when faced with multiple attackers. But here and now it would work perfectly.

At first, came the punch, sending her chin upward and flooding her vision with stars then her already dazed mind started to wander even more. Stumbling back, they bumped into the dumpster in the alleyway and sought to steady themself. “Ugh… pieces of s**t.” The words came out slurred as blood dripped from their mouth, a cracked tooth or more but they were so dazed they couldn’t manage to focus. Thoughts wandered off like a balloon floating away in the wind, leaving them dazed and leaning on the dumpster just to stay upright. It sucked, more than any other thing they'd been hit with in a long while.
“Interesting… very interesting. Reminds me of someone suffering from a brain injury.” It seemed fitting given their attire and he took the opportunity to move forward and free the starseed from the senshi’s chest. It was a quick and fluid motion, leaving them to slump down to the ground as he stepped back and sent the thing away. Another cleanse with sanitizer as he turned back to face the corrupt. “I can handle some physicality though I prefer not to. I can understand as you don’t carry a weapon why that may be a bit harder. Though given both of our professions it is better for both of us to keep from getting injured as the people we serve in our off time from this job need us.” Shifting, he rubbed his knuckles, feeling a bit of blood from the hit but it wasn’t too bad. Something he would ice and wrap, citing the injury coming from slipping on ice or getting his hand caught moving furniture. Any number of mundane and normal excuses to keep people from not looking into things, the idea of it making him laugh a bit because he knew he would do better at it than his cousin had.

“Yes, and I’ve never been much for fighting. I’m one who helped and saved people, my whole family, so violence is rather hard for me. I have come to terms with things in a way that makes sense to me.” It made this all a lot easier for her, such as where she was taking energy and starseeds, and her reasoning for it. “But yes, my magic helps a lot so I don’t need to risk myself. I can help others not have to risk themselves as well.” Like she’d just done for the doctor.
“If you want, to keep you safe so you can continue your work, I can help you if you ever need me. I’ll provide my magic to your weapon.” Since his weapon, such that it was now, would change in time. It would become deadlier, she knew that, but if he didn’t want to get into a fight because of his job she would help there. “My magic is, as you said, brain-related. That is my sphere…and I’ve not unlocked my eternal magic yet. Considering what I can do now I’m certain once I gain my wings I’ll be far more capable of providing support. If you’d like that?” She offered, holding a hand out towards him.
“We can work together, when needed, and try and help this part of the city. To continue our jobs of helping people, those in need, because order won’t and we are more than capable of it.” Because why would order look to help these people? They thought themselves above it, she was certain of it, but these were people in need.
