Sriina felt like she was finally used to being close to Kaimana and enjoying his company without the underlying panic of wondering if the feelings were returned or where they stood. After they had been able to clear the air and just… well, enjoy each other, it had made things easier to navigate.
The sun felt overbearing in Sulburi, it was always so hot in Oba. It was something Sriina had to admit didn’t exactly hold the fondest memories for herself.
She held a hand over her eyes to shield some of the sun while she looked around for Kaimana. They were meeting to start one of their rare day offs together.

"Oh hey!" Kaimana's lips curved into a bright smile when he spotted Sriina waiting for him. He was both delighted and nervous that she had agreed to tag along on this little adventure, but if everything went well it would mean that their next journey together would be back to Matori. And then? Well, he really hoped she would still be willing to build a new home together with him there with the funds he had saved over the years from traveling and working with Kieran. But that would be then and for now they just had another day to enjoy in Sulburi together. Kaimana just needed a quick stop first to get notes on the dig site before they ventured out. "Holding up alright?" Kaimana held his hands up, the motion to try to block some more sunlight for Sriina as he stopped in front of her. "It is awfully bright out here, isn't it?"
