Rhiannon was out shopping for some gifts for her family in the capital while her father dealt with other business in the city. Thankfully it wasn't colder weather so he had been home to accompany her while she browsed through the market, the girl quietly picking through anything that caught her interest. So far though she had only managed to pick up one thing for her Mor while not knowing really what to get for the rest of her siblings. Perhaps something warm for Revna since she enjoyed burrowing into blankets whenever she wasn't hiding away or practicing archery elsewhere? Rhiannon pursed her lips thoughtfully, her gaze focused on the goods in front of her rather than on the crowd moving behind her as she went from shop to shop.

Sometimes, one just needed a walk to clear their head. Eirex walked aimlessly through the streets and let his mind wander equally. Anything from his twin to the store to raptrix wings crossed his thoughts. He usually had a plan laid out for his days off, but today was not one of those days. Unfortunately, his mind had drifted a little too much. He went to walk around a body in his way, but his sleeve brushed against the bystander caught on their pack. He gave a grunt of surprise when his arm was tugged back. "What the-?"

Oh! Rhiannon let out a soft gasp of surprise as she felt her satchel bag get pulled backwards. "No!" Her follow up gasp was because the small charm that she had bought was freed in the tug, the crystal pieces bouncing along the stone pavement in all directions as one of the beaded strings broke. Well, that was unfortunate! "Uforsiktig tosk..." She muttered, not one to yell her anger at others even though she was seriously disappointed in whoever the careless fool was that had gotten snagged on her belongings. But then...well it turned out the careless fool in question happened to be her cousin. "Eirex?" Rhiannon hadn't seen much of her mother's family in comparison to her older siblings but she still recognized him from their few interactions, the recognition making the fire in her gaze dim down somewhat as she calmed herself. Well, accidents happened she supposed...

A ripple of frustration went up Eirex's back as the sounds of the falling crystals reached his ears. Dang it, something broke. He didn't think it was anything of his though, at least. His gaze went first to see what exactly had broken, but his name pulled his eyes up quickly. They knew him? Did they know his father? Would they go complain and-? "Oh! Um, Rhiannon!" One of his northern cousins. What were the odds? He raised his sleeve up and plucked off the one crystal that had caught and stuck to the coarse fabric. "Here. It looks like this snagged on my coat." He gave her a small, apologetic smile as he held the piece out to his cousin.

Rhiannon opened and closed her mouth. If Rhidian was here then perhaps she would have left her to do the talking or given her secret signals to express her frustration, but for now she was alone. And so she simply let out a soft sigh as she accepted the piece. At least it was Eirex and he wasn't being rude about it like others could be. "Do you see any other pieces that rolled away?" She asked instead, the teen looking on the ground for more of the crystal pieces of the charm so that she could pocket them. It was a few crystals with a moon at the end, something she liked since her far always had moon symbols throughout their own home. It was what had attracted her to the charm in the first place, the girl hoping she could salvage the pieces to repair it somehow.

Oh! Of course there would be more pieces! Eirex squatted down immediately for a closer look at the ground. Thank goodness the last snow had been a few days ago. What lingered had been tamped flat by hundreds of feet walking over it. Of course, that also meant that fallen items could slide everywhere. "Oh!"He scurried to dart around Rhiannon to chase after two crystals that were trying to roll off behind her. He stood up with a hopeful grin and held out the pieces. "How many other pieces are there?"

Okay it was hard to be too piffed at him when he was so willing to help. Rhiannon smiled despite herself as she accepted the two crystals. "I didn't exactly keep track of how many crystals there are, but if we could just find the crescent moon piece then that would be a relief." She admitted, her bi-colored gaze skimming the ground in search of more pieces. Ah. Rhiannon darted forward, nearly sliding on the ice herself in her rush, but her fingers managed to grab a couple of blue crystals that had been part of the charm.
"If we can find the moon then maybe I can find some loose beads and thread to fix it later." She just really didn't want to lose that charm. The little silver moon with its etched runes and embedded crystals wasn't something she commonly saw in Zena so she truly wanted to find it.

A crescent moon? A silver crescent moon. Could it have been any more difficult to spot? Eirex narrowed his eyes to scan the ground. Hopefully, it didn't go too far. He looked up as a couple on a stroll approached them, seemingly oblivious to their presence. "Wait!" he yelped. He jumped to his feet and opened his arms wide. "Go around, please! We're busy here!" He almost laughed at the expressions on the couples faces, but there, at the man's feet-! "Oh! Don't move!" He hurried forward and slapped his hand down onto the ground. The couple murmured under their breath as they quickly walked off. Eirex didn't give them a second thought. How could he? He stood up and held the little crescent charm up with a grin. "I got it!"

Was it even possible to find the little crescent piece? Rhiannon found her spirits dropping as she kept looking across the ground. No luck... A soft sigh left her lips before she noticed Eirex moving to stop a couple from walking across the path. "Oh you...." She nearly protested, her cheeks flushed from making a scene, but the sudden exclamation washed it all away with a bright smile crossing her own lips.
"Velsigne deg!" She reached out to hug her cousin, her arms tightly wrapping around his shoulders. "Thank you, Eirex!" The tips of her ears stayed flushed as she took a step back and held out her hands so that he could drop the charm into them. "I appreciate it, I mean." Even if it seemed childish, the girl was relieved. It was something that she kind of had put her own faith into, thinking that the charm was a good symbol of luck or something that also brought her closer to her shifter heritage. Losing it actually would have really stung even if she hadn't openly admitted such a thing. "Maybe we could go look for something in the market to hang this from?" Maybe it was a sign that she could even look for actual pieces to make it into a necklace or something sturdier that wouldn't snap quite as easily as it just had.

His cousin's clear delight just made Eirex's grin glow all the more. "I'm glad I could help," he assured proudly. After all, he'd been accidentally part of the broken charm. Ah, and it seemed he would be able to keep helping. "Sure. Would you prefer a chain or leather or some other material?" He pointed in two different directions. "My father often works with the jeweler down that way, but the leatherworker is also really good."

" Oh." Rhiannon blinked at the question. " What do you think? I was thinking a chain for the crystals, but leather would be sturdier." Maybe they could turn it into a choker and leather was always preferred by others like her mother who thought the silver chains would be too frigid in the winter weather. Rhiannon twisted the charm in her fingers thoughtfully before looking at her cousin with a small smile. " You decide and I'll go with whichever." That would be his punishment for bumping into her and breaking it in the first place. It seemed fair enough to Rhiannon, especially since she didn't know which option to pick in the first place. Both would work for her honestly, and she was curious to see what her cousin decided. [Rhiannon 6]

Eirex started to nod along. His mind was going along the same lines. Some people preferred the chains, but the ones for charms tended to be so thin. He.. he could decide for her? His shoulders tensed slightly with the gravity of his responsibility. If he chose wrong, it would be on his head! He crossed his arms and closed his eyes to contemplate the choices more thoroughly. The thin chain probably was not the best idea. There were fabric strings that could be used, but those might fray with the hard living the northern tribe had. A hearty string of leather might be Rhiannon's best bet for keeping that charm safe. "I think the leather bind is the best option." He pointed his finger toward the appropriate direction. "If you still add the chain to it if you really want it for decoration. Just leave the leather as the thing holding it all together."

" Fair decision." Acknowledged Rhiannon as she agreed with Eirex with a smile. " Let's do that then." The hybrid bumped lightly against her cousin in appreciation as she motioned for him to guide the way. " Truly, I appreciate the help." He definitely had made up for the little mishap and if anything maybe it was a good thing considering she could get a sturdier necklace at the end of the day. Yep, not a bad trade at all.[Rhiannon 7]

Ah, she seemed pleased with that! The little bump raised a chuckle, and Eirex looped his arm with hers to give his cousin a proper escort. "You're welcome." He would have felt awful if a simple mistake had resulted in his cousin's loss of a precious item. The way she had lit up earlier let him know that it would have really been upsetting if it hadn't been found. He'd gotten lucky today. Maybe he would get a charm for himself to commemorate the occasion!
