Tada~ Lutana hummed quietly under her breath as she rearranged the display in the shop window, the hybrid working alone this afternoon in the Belrean teashop that she was current apprenticed in. She had crossed the ocean to learn new techniques with preparing teas, Lutana promising her mentor in Jahaur that she would not only bring back special herbs and teas from Belrea but also learn their methods to teach the other, and after a couple of weeks the place already felt like a home to her. Perhaps she had inherited a bit of her family's wanderlust after all? Either way Lutana was content to listen to the stories of strangers as they passed through the shop and she used her tea preparation skills from overseas to gain their interest. It was a shame that while there was a couple of private rooms for tea parties in the shop that it was mostly just a specialization of brews here, less performances and readings like she was accustomed to back in Jahaur. Lutana though had quickly taken advantage of that, teaching the owner and her employees here some of her own skills while learning from them in return. Not that it kept her from casual work like this since she still had to pay for the room that she was using while staying in Belrea. And so here she was once again enjoying an afternoon alone while moving delicate teapots and displays of fresh herbs and rare teas that the shop specialized in.

Willow's father kept himself on a busy and rather strict schedule. She swore he would spontaneously combust if he dared to rest for anything outside of sleeping and eating! He seemed determined to keep his daughter on the same restrictions, but that was easier said than done. He was simply too busy to keep track of her all the time, and she took advantage of that fact to the fullest!

Her small wagon was packed from the supply run, so surely she had earned herself a break! And if he asked, then she could say it was research! Teas had medicinal benefits just as much as they allowed for a pleasant drinking experience. She tied the wagon so that no one would simply wheel it away and headed inside. When she entered the tea shop, Willow sighed with relief and smiled to the only other person apparently inside. "Hello. Do you work here?" she asked cheerfully.

Lutana was quietly dusting a small teapot when the chiming of the door announced a guest. "Do I?" Asked Lutana in response, a small smile crossing her lips with amusement at the question. "I suppose so." She was technically working here even as she studied under the owner and learned more about Belrean tea. Carefully placing the teapot on the shelf, Lutana turned so that she could look over the visitor. She didn't remember seeing the geian before and interest made her silvery gaze brighten, Lutana always eager to meet others since she found their stories interesting. It was always fun to try to piece together personalities and try to see how different some individuals could be, something she found even more intriguing with the culture differences between Jahaur and Belrea. Still, she was the only one here today as well and so she had to focus on also serving a potential customer the best that she could while the others were away.

"Are you looking for something in particular or simply browsing around?"

Having her question answered with another question made Willow narrow her eyes in a playfully suspicious manner. "Suppose? Are you just deciding you work here because I asked?" A little smirk made her lips twitch. The elusive answer was certainly interesting. Was she already about to get more than just a cup of tea? She made a point of looking around again and dramatically raised her hands as though she was giving in. "It looks like my options are limited," she said with a heavy sigh. "As such, I'm just taking a break from work. Perhaps something light to drink to give me a boost for the rest of the work day?"

Lutana simply smiled in response, mischievousness making her silver gaze gleam before she shrugged a shoulder towards the guest as if allowing her to figure out the answer on her own. She continued moving along, rearranging things on the shelves while giving the geian time to make her decision. "Hmm. I can work with that." Lutana acknowledged after a moment of musing over the question. "Do you have any specific flavors you enjoy? The shop is quiet so I don't mind preparing some tea as a demonstration." They would just have to decide upon whatever the other girl preferred first. "If you don't have anything in mind just tell me a bit about yourself and I'll pick something accordingly." It had been a bit since she had full reign over deciding a specific type of brew for a guest, Lutana still adapting to all the flavors and styles of tea that Belrea had to offer.

The lack of answer might have annoyed anyone more serious. Willow just found it intriguing. She wasn't used to anyone being so playfully elusive when it came to a possible sale! Was this really an employee? She knew the woman wasn't the owner, but employees came and went. She wasn't there often enough to know their faces. "Well then, let's see what you can do." She tapped a full lip with an amused smile. "I'm on my break with plenty of work left later, so I'd like to relax without getting sleepy. I do like those strong herbal teas. Lots of flavor in them."

"Hmm." Lutana tilted her head thoughtfully as she pondered the options. "A strong herbal tea with plenty of work for later..." She mused as she went through the lower shelves, looking over boxes and picking through them. Chamomile was nice, but a bit too relaxing for someone not wanting to sleep yet and the same was true for lavender. Lutana's lips pressed thoughtfully together as she continued browsing, picking some loose herbs up and mixing them together in a small bag for brewing.

"I think the ginkgo, these little fan leaves that you can brew would pull all of these options together." Lutana acknowledged after a moment, letting the guest see the peppermint, cinnamon and ginger with some other herbs she had tied together already. "That box is a bit higher up so I'll have to grab a ladder, one moment please." The shelves were stacked full of herbs along the back wall, the loose tea leaves and such kept here while the more prepared kits were up front for convenience sake. Normally Lutana was fine with gathering from the upper shelves, but she didn't realize the ladder was a bit shakier today because it had been damaged. It was only when she was halfway up, reaching for the box of ginkgo, that the wobbling began and Lutana found herself grabbing at the shelf to try to regain her balance. In her haste she didn't have time to think about her surroundings, the hybrid just grabbing at the shelves to stop the wobbling before she fell backwards.

Unfortunately though that meant a teacup and a couple of smaller boxes of herbs that were on the shelf next to her took a hit, the hybrid having nudged it with her elbow while regaining her balance. So while Lutana didn't take a tumble, her movements allowing her to stabilize the ladder for a moment, the teacup unfortunately started spinning through the air to shatter on the ground. That's very unlucky. Lutana winced as she glanced down at the floor where the broken pieces were, taking a moment before starting down from the ladder with the box of tea leaves in hand. "Are you alright? Nothing hit you, did it?"

Willow leaned her hip against one of the tables as she watched the other work out a tea plan. Working might be dull on occasion, but she couldn't deny that watching others work was fun. People got this look on their face when they were fully focused on a task, and it was an adorable expression to see. "It already smells good," she observed after giving the collection a sniff. That was certainly going to be flavorful!

As Lutana climbed, Willow was about to make a playful comment on her bravery. Instead, she gasped and hurried to try grabbing the ladder. She didn't make it in time to stop the cup from falling, but she held the ladder more stable until Lutana got back to the ground. "Me? Oh, goodness! Are you alright? That was a close call. I have first aid supplies if you need." A stinging on her foot made her look down. Blood was running along the top of her right foot from a thin, shallow cut.

She clicked her tongue dismissively and shook her head. That could wait.

Lutana let out a soft sigh as she managed to get back to the ground. "Thank you." She nodded her appreciation before glancing over the ladder and sighing again as she noticed the leg that had broken on her. There was no way she had done that, right? No, it looked like the ladder had already been damaged and someone hadn't thought to mark it. "I suppose I should have been more careful before climbing a ladder." She mused before following the other girl's glance and noticing that she had indeed been injured.

"I'm fine thanks to you helping me down, but that blood won't do." Lutana shook her head, placing the box down on the ground before holding out a hand towards her guest's leg. "Thankfully, my studies aren't simply about teamaking." Though most in this shop focused solely on selling tea and holding parties, her origins from Jahaur were more of a healing sort where they offered healing along with their brews. "Bear with me for one second, don't move." Lutana wasn't even bothered by the blood, the hybrid seeing no reason to falter because of something as simple as that, and her fingers lightly grazed the skin there so that the cut closed with a touch of healing magic. "There." She dabbed lightly at the area with a silk handkerchief before tucking it back into her sash, just to wipe away the blood a bit before pulling back and looking at the mess she had created.

"Mending that cup may take a bit though." Lutana glanced around with a slight wince. "I know you said you're on break from work, but would you have a moment to spare to help sweep this up and I'll treat you to a cup of tea as thanks?" It would be best to clean the shop floor before anyone else wandered in and then she could find the culprit and chastise them for leaving a broken ladder around later. There was a broom at least on the wall by the storage and a pan for the broken pieces, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to sweep up the scattered leaves and ceramic pieces. It was just a shame that the tea set was broken up now and she would have to find a way to replace that cup later.

"Your employer should make a better point of making certain their equipment is in proper condition," she replied with pressed lips as she glared at the shaky ladder. Her attention turned back to her little injury. With a sigh, she leaned back just enough to watch what the other was doing. Her eyes widened with interest as the warmth spread and the wound healed. "Well, would you look at that." Her surprise turned into a smile. "Thanks."

It was too bad the cup couldn't be saved so easily. "I wouldn't mind that at all. Following the sweeping with a wet rag would be best to get the tiny shards, too. I've broken enough glasses in my time. It sure gets everywhere."

"That would be helpful though I think they weren't aware of the situation." Lutana gave a slight shrug and offered a smile, keeping calm despite everything. "I'll bring it up when they return and keep others from using the ladder." As long as the wound was taken care of the cup could be easily replaced, at least that was Lutana's hope. She was just thankful that the guest was willing to help her out with the situation. "I appreciate your help." She commented, nodding at the advice and moving to grab the broom.

"Also, my apologies. I forgot introductions during all of this, my name is Lutana." It truly wasn't her best day at work, was it? She propped the broom up against the wall near the other girl before moving to grab a rag so that she could go soak it in water. "I'll go prepare this rag so that I can pick up after we sweep." Her colorful skirts swished around her legs as she carefully avoided the mess and went to go dip the rag in water, Lutana returning shortly afterwards so that she could help clean up the scattered pieces from the floor.

Willow hummed to herself and shrugged. "Perhaps this will at least prompt a look over of any other equipment here." Her seriousness fell away to a more playful smirk. "If anyone gets mad about the cup, you tell me and I'll come give them what for! Can't see anyone being mad for an accident like this, but you never know."

Her smile grew as introductions finally came into play and grabbed up the broom. "It is a pleasure, Lutana. I'm Willow." She carefully started sweeping up the mess, sweeping up as much of the floor as she could see.

Lutana let out a soft laugh of surprise at the sudden offer. How protective! "I appreciate that." She replied with a smile, her gaze bright with amusement at Willow's energy. "I'll make sure to keep that in mind if they try to make an ordeal out of it. Honestly, that cup has been up there for a while now. I'm fairly certain the owner forgot it even existed." At least that was her hope and if not then she would spend a night trying to figure out how to piece it back together.

"The pleasure is mine. It's been a bit of a messy introduction, but I am happy to greet a new face in the shop. Hopefully this doesn't deter you and you come visit again, I'll try my best to not break something next time." Lutana teased as she took the damp rag and followed behind the sweeping to make certain they got all the smaller pieces to dump into an empty bucket. "I think that's good. Do you see anything else?" She questioned, wiping her hands on her skirts as she surveyed the floor for any signs of something shining there in the rays of sunlight from the nearby window. If not then that meant she could finally begin on preparing that tea, Lutana eager to make up for the accident in the way she knew best.

"'Messy' is one way to put it," she agreed with a chuckle. "It will take more than a little mess to scare me off. Though, I agree that refraining from breaking more cups in the future might be for the better." She swept up the final bits and put the broom back where she had seen Lutana fetch it from. "The real deciding factor will be that tea you've blended up there. The future hangs in the balance of your concoction there." Willow slipped over to the nearest table to settle in and watch the process. She'd gotten a little more than she had expected by coming in here, but that wasn't always a bad thing!
