Aelfhun 1
Aelfhun was doing what he did best; prowling the streets for anything, or anyone, to keep his attention for at least a few hours. So far it had been a bust. His father had been on his case all day when he had made the mistake of returning home through the front door, refusing to leave until he had cleaned his clothes and restocked his pack, with the intention of disappearing once more for...Well, anywhere but there. The older man had followed the son around, yelling at him about where he had been and about the importance of duty to ones family and blah blah. All things that Aelfhun cared so much about that he couldn't even remember most of the speech. When things got too heated, he had stormed out to find something to occupy his time until the maid would be finished washing his clothes. It seemed so long ago that he and his father had had an unspoken truce of quiet, where neither would bother the other. Now it was all he could do to remain in the house for more than five minutes.
The hybrid moved down the street, eyeing the store windows and smaller venders hacking their wares from the sides. Nothing was really interesting him. Not that it mattered, as he had left all his money back in his room. Hands in his pockets, he continued moving, golden eyes roaming over the people around him. No one caught his attention, which in itself was strange. He always found something to do, someone to spend time with. Maybe his father's dark, contrary mood was contagious.
Until he rounded a corner and spied
her. Aelfhun stopped, staring, eyes wide. So tall. So exotic. So rarely seen this far into Earthling territory. Would
she be the answer to his boredom? He sauntered towards her as if it was perfectly normal to find an Aishan in the middle of town.
"Hey," he greeted, his voice soft, trying to appear confident and masculine despite how far he had to tilt his head to look up at her, even at his distance and his own height.
"Now what's a girl like you doing all the way here?"
